What a treat this way, a golfer's dream! I was referred to work with Loren for my first ever club fitting after just over 7 years of playing religiously. Everybody was so friendly upon walking in, there's even a beautiful dog to greet you, as well as an open bar with all the booze you need, sodas, gatorades, waters, as well as hot chocolate! I spent 2 hours with Loren, and he was exactly what I was hoping for. Somebody who was not only knowledgeable, but honest and patient. It helped that we are both PING guys. During the process, 2 other specialists joined in at different stages to assist, which was really cool! I got the perfect set up clubs, at a great price, as well as some additional goodies I've been wanting - which were also on sale. Not only that, I got to meet the owner as he was the one to ring me up. My clubs came in 3 weeks later, and I got to go back to test them out before bringing them home. These guys are great. I tried Galaxy and while it's a bigger operation, the service was lousy and slow. Shawn at Golf Ranch listened to what I wanted, asked the right questions, and got me into a new set of clubs that have dramatically improved my game. If you like golf, and want to buy from golfers who don't try to upsell you, GR is the best. When I lived in Georgetown, I was fitted for and purchased a set of irons and a driver. I live across the country now, and had a question about the specs of my irons from 3+ years ago. Loralee called me directly, got the serial number and followed up with the info I'd requested; all while knowing this wouldn't result in a single dollar. They could've very easily just not replied to my request. I greatly appreciate TGR and would tell anyone in the North Austin/ Williamson Co. area not to waste their time getting their golf equipment anywhere else. read more

Good place to go to get golf gear. They can go club repairs and install grips. I believe they can do custom work like loft lie adjustments. Prices are pretty normal on clubs and gear. Golf shirts were way overpriced but they are just about everywhere. They have a pretty good selection of used clubs too. read more

If you are a golfer in the Austin and surrounding areas you really only have one place to go for outstanding service and assistance. I have used them for club repair, loft revision, re-gripping, etc and this week purchased a completely new set of clubs from them. After playing them once and noticing the Driver loft was not what I thought I bought with the complete set package displayed in the show room, I returned to Golf Ranch to TRADE in the Driver because it was my fault for not checking it and buy the correct Driver. Without hesitation Dan (owner) agreed to exchange the Driver for desired loft without charge. If you know of another place willing to go to these lengths of Customer Satisfaction I would like to know about them because they don't exist. I drive over 30 miles to do business with these people and I would drive 100 miles if needed just to do business with them because they are that good, friendly and prepared to help you with whatever you need. I have visited this store on several occassions and have found it to be one of the best golf shops I have ever been in. Good selection, good fair pricing, a fantastic repair man who can refurbish clubs as well as repair them, a great teaching pro, and courteous service. It is well worth the drive from Austin (about 25 minutes via hwy 183 and hwy29). I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a a good deal in club repar, instruction, or a set of golf clubs. They even have a customer appreciation night the last Thursday of the month where door prizes are given and there is a grand prize drawing that you can be eligible for if you have purchased at least $50.00 worth of murchandise during the month. read more
