Such a good driving range! Beautiful scenery and I even saw an adorable family of deer. Right out of a movie!

Three stars as the course are set up nicely and it is a good test from the rear tees. This course…read moreis pretty open and there are a few risk and reward tee shots for you big hitters. Bunkers do guard some greens so depending on the pin location you best be accurate on your approach shot. The greens are resort-like where a lofted club shot leaves a deep ball mark and will spin back. Be aware there is no water or cart service on the course. This is a good track and suitable for all levels of golfers if you play the correct tees. Now, why only 3 stars. As others have mentioned customer service could not be worse. I played here on a recent Sunday morning with a large group and we had the course to ourselves. This group has played here a number of times before so this was not a one-time visit. Let's see we were reminded numerous times that we had to leave the property immediately post-round. Nice, did they think we were going to cause mayhem? Before we teed off I went to the pro shop to politely ask for a scorecard. I was told rather rudely that we don't have scorecards. This is BS as all courses provide scorecards even with RONA. The jerk standing in front of the pro shop door had that "fck off" look and his response aligned with his curt response. Even though we were told the driving range would be open it was not. Their response was it is their policy. What policy? The range did open when our group headed out for our shotgun start. On the course, the marshalls passed us numerous times and they never even gave us a glance usually the marshalls will stop for a second and ask how are things going or just exchange a pleasantry as they are supposed to be ambassadors of the club. Lastly, a marshall parked about 200 yards from the tee and would not move even when we waved him on. This is considered bad form as he is a target. Well one of us put a tee shot near him and ended up in the rough just off the cart path. Instead of waiting for us and pointing to where the ball was he just drove by us not even giving us a glance. Here is some advice for Cowan Creek: 1. If you just want to be a private course for Sun City residents only then become one 2. If you are going to be a semi-private course then treat your Guests as valued Guests and not a burden 3. Hire customer-facing people who know how to provide good customer service Feel free to message me if you read this and I will be more than happy to discuss with you either by phone or in person.

Every Friday they do a buffet for $20 (for members) and each Friday it's a different spread. Awesome managers and a months FULL of events. There are two different ways to talk about this place... as a country club and as a golf course…read more Let's start with the latter. Let's be real, GCC is never going to host a US Open qualifier. But now that that's out of the way, my advice is to take this place for what it is instead of complaining about what it is not. It is NOT a super long or super challenging course. It IS a beautiful, old school golf course that is well maintained and cleverly laid out. The course was built in 1925 so many of the fairways are pretty narrow. If you're used to just bombing away, slices be damned... you won't play very well here. But if you enjoy figuring out tricky approaches and aren't intimidated by hilly lies, there's plenty here to keep even the best players engaged. What about the club? Same principle applies. Take it for what it is, not what it is not. The club itself is NOT a place where you'll see Teslas and Ferraris in the parking lot. And you're probably not going to find investors for your new startup here. But you ARE going to find great people and a tight little community. The bar is busy most nights and the food is good. If you've been a member at any golf clubs, you know that these are not things to be taken for granted. The tennis community is active and the club is very friendly towards children and families. Basically, this might be the perfect country club for people who never thought they would want to join a country club. If that's you, you'll love it! If not, you've got plenty of other great choices.
