This is such a "chill" place. Also family oriented, pet friendly, open space, great for groups, tons of retail to peruse and amazing atmosphere. People are super friendly too. Its such a great neighborhood gathering place. The decor is very Texas like, which gives it a unique vibe. Just happened upon this place when I was visiting my family in Round Rock. We decided to take a trip to Georgetown and walked past what I thought was a outdoors shop, similar to Rei maybe. Glancing through the window revealed that though you could but some clothes and other wares inside, there was also a bar and so in we went for a brew. The inside is very well adorned with high, copper ceilings, plenty of natural light from two-story windows in the front and back, rifle footrests at the bar, and comfortable seating all around. I could honestly just sit here admiring the location and be totally comfortable. There are a few TVs so you could catch a game here as well. I came back a second time during Oktoberfest and my timing must have been perfect because they were having a stein holding competition and I of course had to through my hat into the ring. I came in second place out of about 15 and gosh, it was just a real fun time and definitely added to the allure of the place. I believe they hold other events throughout the year though I am ignorant to what kind. Definitely one of my favorite bars when I visit the Austin metropolitan area. read more

Well this place is fantastic and family friendly. They have great beers and you literally come here to lounge and hang out. Met up with a good buddy of mine for a couple of beers and sat for about 3 hours. Such a good time. Service is on point and always keep the tables clean. The inside is relaxing and easy on the eyes. We became members here about four months ago. It's perfect because my wife and I will grab two beers to go, drop a tip, and walk the square/walking trail up the street to get our steps in on our Fitbit. It's always exciting because the beers change daily to weekly. We've hung out inside on occasion which is perfect for card games and relaxing. The apparel for sale is typical of a REI/Bass Pro Shop. I went in for a few beers a little late on a Thursday night. A very nice vibe really decent beer although they don't make it themselves and a good crowd even for Thursday. They had to turn on the ugly lights to get people out of the place I just had two beers but it was a nice place and they let my dog come inside to cool off on a warm Thursday evening. Been going here for a couple years now and recently joined as members. 10/10 for environment, fast and friendly service, quality beer and clothing. We have two littles so it's nice to have a place we can go with them while also having the ability to take beer to go and let them run outside. This place is always SUPER packed on weekends, it can be near impossible to find a seat. Luckily there are a few outdoor tables and chairs for overflow but even the sidewalks get crowded with people just standing around drinking. One evening we managed to make it in and see what all the excitement was about and it's a cute little beer and wine bar/outdoors gear store. Cute merchandise but pretty pricey. The bartender told us occasionally a food truck will park behind their store so you can enjoy yummy eats with your drinks, otherwise no food menu. I liked the atmosphere of this place... cute little date night drink spot on the square. But I am a little confused by why it's so crowded all the time. The beer and wine list is good, but not anything spectacular. I don't get it. I'm sure we'll be back at some point if we can find a place to sit. read more

An interesting spot in the Georgetown square. Mesquite Creek is half bar, half clothing and apparel shop. They've got a good selection of beers and wines and are one of the only places around here that stays open late. There's a variety of clothes for men and women however many of their items are overpriced, but I assume most people come here to drink, not shop. read more

I went to this Gastro pub while visiting a friend in the Austin Texas area. I think it's really cool that they have merchandise and a fully running bar and restaurant in the same space. I felt it was very cozy and interesting aesthetically with all of the taxidermy on the walls. I really like this place in downtown Georgetown. The ceilings are REALLY high so it feels super spacious. It is a clothing store, bar, and sort-of restaurant, as they serve pub grub like pizzas or a meat & cheese plate. They have several draft beer options of craft beers, and we had the meat & cheese plate which was good. There is lots of seating and the animal heads on the wall are really cool. The ceiling is silver and in squares as you can see from the photo and it looks great. The skylight and windows add a lot of natural light. It was a good time and a neat place to hang out with friends. You don't have to yell, there is no loud music going on, and people will bring their kids as well. Neat place. read more

This joint is cool. Fantastic location, awesome decor, and very high quality merchandise. They almost exclusively carry local/Texas made products and the good stuff! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They also have beer on tap and do pub food. They have a cool cafe area at the front of the store. I didn't have time to partake in the food and drink but I'll be back to try that. And I've instructed my wife that this would be a great place to shop for me at birthday and Christmas time. It was one temptation after another for me as I shopped in there. If you appreciate high-quality outdoor wear and have a bend for local goods, this place is it. Did I mention the location? Recently visited the establishment and recognized unauthorized services were added to my tab, including what was described as an auto-generated tip of 25%. When I brought the error to the attention of the manager and one other employee they said since the charge was closed, it could not be corrected, but they would offer a gift card. This extra charges occurred after I left the establishment and closed out with an unknown signature, which I pointed out to the manager as well. I respectfully asked for a refund. At this juncture an angry customer that overheard our conversation threatened me and I choose to deescalate, and departed the establishment. read more

Another great addition to the Georgetown square!! My husband and I have driven by Outfitters a few times. The place is brightly lit up and looks so cozy from the outside, especially the adorable outdoor seating. Let me tell you, despite the tall 30 foot ceilings, the place is cozy! The intimate couches, piknik tables, and rugs make this place a great place for couples or groups. There is country western motif items on the walls, and taxidermy animals that make you feel like you're at home. I didn't shop, and most of the people I saw weren't but is image it would be fun for the girls to get together to pick up a few items for the guys. The guys were seated at the bar. The bar is quite small in comparison to the overall size of the place. However, they have more than a dozen wines and local beers to choose from. The place could use a little organizing in relation to the ordering of drinks, especially since the bar is so full. Maybe like a designated "order here" sign for those people who want to order and sit elsewhere. I will definitely be back for a laid back evening of wine and beer. Pretty cool place. My bf and I stumbled upon this place when we where "on our way" to Hutto. This place is located right in the middle of Georgetown's downtown area and seems to be pretty popular. The bar is beer and wine only, lots of beer options from all over Texas. The bartenders where very nice and inviting. This place also has a store type of thing going on, the clothes are a bit over priced but again we came for a drink not to shop.
