Really great attention to detail...lined up the sides and neck portion of goatee plus the gaps near bottom lip. Cool water shampoo and finished appointment. Well worth it. Brought my son here and after many terrible or okay-ish hair cuts, we found a barber shop that knew exactly how to meet my son's haircut requests. It's legit and there were grown men getting cuts as well, so if you take your kid they should be either old enough or well behaved enough to conduct themselves respectfully. We love this place! My husband has been going here for years and I started going here as my hair has been growing back after it fell out. It is really hard to find folks who can deal with short women's hair. Even though they are a barber they have been most most welcoming and awesome about getting my hair through all the awful phases from bald, qtip, spiky, etc. The atmosphere is fun and laid back. Every time I come either to bring my father for a cut and a hot towel shave, or my son for a much needed cut and style, I always leave feeling like I have received true customer service. These two very important men in my life also feel special and much more confident when they walk out of the Good Barber's doors. I have called ahead and asked for special attention for my father on his birthday, and the team there delivered in amazing style. He felt like a million bucks when he left there. It was such a great experience that when my mother was losing her hair to chemo, I called and asked if we could come in to have the rest of her hair shaved. I brought my daughter into The Good Barber as one of her old hair stylist (Gina) works their. My daughter got a trim and some highlights done. I don't really know much about highlights but she looked great when Gina finished with her. Gina is always does a great job with the wife and daughter and they won't got to anyone else. As for The Good Barber in general... I didn't need a haircut this time around, but after visiting, I think I may have to get my hair cut here next time. Its a very clean and orderly barber shop, the staff is very friendly. As I was there a man came in for a haircut. And like any traditional barber shop, one of the staff offered him water or beer. I went once years ago while visiting the area. It was great. I've been looking for a barber after moving back and thought I'd give it a shot. I was a walk-in. There was 1 other customer getting a haircut. I counted 4 other staff wandering around but they let me sit for 20 min anyway. Finally, reluctantly, one of them took me. The fade was good but the top came out all uneven. Noticeably longer in some areas and shorter in others. Then she rang me up for the upcharge. I just got a haircut. I realized later she charged me for haircut and a massage. So a $22 haircut became a $32 haircut. Which I ended up having to have fixed elsewhere. Waste of time. read more

The service was ok My boyfriends barber didn't listen after we both nicely tolls her to leave length on the top we have a quinceañera we are attending. She cut it way to short. I'm surprised by the 3* rating because I think they are 5*. Once you sign in they offer you the standard beer or water like most barber shops in Texas. Next up, all the ladies that work here do great, including the one guy that is on staff. I have to say though GINA is the best. I'll wait an hour to make it to furthest chair in the back. I do a full cut and beard trim and it's always $25. This is higher than I'm used to paying in Denver but it's still the best price I've found in Stone Oak. I went to another place, won't name names but thing of the guy who fits bulls, it was $50.00. Another shop, named after the fuel that goes into your car that isn't gasoline. Same service. $45. So, TGB is a bargain at $25.00. This place can get busy, and I think they will schedule appointments but you will need to do the full service. I can ask. Overall, any of the folks here will do a great job, I just like going to Gina because she knows what I want and I don't have to explain it. I was looking for a particular shape to be made out of my beard that I had been growing out for two weeks.
