I had time to visit one Goodwill while in Boston, so based on reviews, I chose this one. And I loved it! Only took cash since computers were down-so I was lucky I had cash. No dressing rooms-so I tried things on over my shirt. I ended up buying 4 things for right under $21!!! I loved all the things I found- a sleeveless sequined Ann Taylor top, a long sweater coat from J Jill, a Uniqlo puffer vest, and a like new red/blac/gray/white scarf. I traveled carry-on, so that was about all I could fit in my suitcase! But so worth it! Public parking lot near by. Siizes are all mixed. But because it's a smaller store, it wasn't too hard to go through. Prices are based on the item, so you don't know the price unless you ask. Staff was incredibly rude. When looking through the store an employee that was running the stock almost ran into me and gave me a dirty look as if it was my fault. The employee that rang me out was not nice at all, no manners. Didn't give me a total and was rushing me to pay, nothing in the store is priced so you find out at the register which wouldn't be an issue if the staff communicated. When she asked if I wanted a bag I said yes to which she rolled her eyes as if it was an inconvenience to her to have to bag my items. When grabbing my bag she handed me the receipt and I said thank you, she again gave me a dirty look and didn't say a thing. I am visiting from out of town and was highly disappointed with the service I received not to mention I walked 45 minutes from my hotel just to come here. Found this thrift store walking around Southie yesterday. It seemed fairly organized although some of the racks are so tightly packed that it's difficult to see the front of the item you are looking at. I did find a few shirts I liked. Fairly small compared to other stores I've been to but had some great stuff here. Also, a section of books. For an avid reader like myself I always love digging through these and sure enough I found one to buy. Might also be a bit pricier than other Goodwills but I would definitely recommend this if your in the area. read more

Got here from Copley Square by Bus #9. My research said this is THE best place for a thrift fix in Boston. It was not very crowded, and the racks were jammed with clothing. A sign said No donations for now. Scored with 3 good label men's shorts, 2 with 50% discount color! Biggest drawback is clothes are not sorted by size, so it takes a lot of looking. Store was clean enough. Fitting rooms are closed, but they did have a mirror. read more

The store was very well stocked and generally clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices were pretty decent for a thrift store. The only downside was that the sections were not labeled well. And often, I could not figure out the price for an item. When I asked an employee, they were not sure either and told me I would have to ask the cashier. However, the fair prices and good variety made up for this minor inconvenience and I quite enjoyed it. read more

I love this place... 1.It has loads and loads of great, interesting, basic everyday and multi-culutral decor and inventory. 2. Everyone there was sweet. 3. I saw a cute guy in there 4. i saw a cute dog in there, riding in his owner's shopping cart. 5. It has access to 2 big city parking lots to its left and behind the building... I have to call the news about this Good Will Store in South Boston MA 02127 i go their to buy close to donate to amazing people in need and i can't believe that even clothes that i have donated are way high price as if their new i speak in behalf of all who are struggling to afford to even buy food or other means of situation in life please have more respect to homeless people and the low income community how can you price a woman's coat that was donated no brand at 30 40 50 60 dollars as if their new from Target or Walmart thats is crazy people go into this place to buy clothes because they know that even if its used and broken they can fix it wear it at a cheaper price and don't mind but how can you buy something that is donated broken and know it should be price at 14 dollars and come to notice its 50 come on wake up new management its not going to work at all sorry time for new management employees so sad read more

My sister loves going to the Goodwill stores near her home in IL, and is always texting me pictures of her latest steal when she finds something she truly loves. So, when she decided to visit me in Boston she of course wanted to check out the Goodwill stores in the big city. We checked out two locations, and this one was by far the better one. I wasn't sure what to expect, and dare I say, a little scared to see what I would find. However, I was really pleasantly surprised by the choices, prices, and cleanliness of this store. They had some great dresses and skirts, nice home goods, and even toys that were a blast to the past from my childhood! The whole store had more of a boutique feel in its layout, the staff was helpful, and the dressing rooms were a cheerful yellow. Plus, they have plenty of street parking and a free municipal lot near by. You can't ask for a greater convenience. To top the experience off, go on a Monday. They have a lovely little farmer's market every afternoon with delicious vegetables, fruits, home-made jams, baked goods, and the most amazing whoopie pies I have ever eaten! read more

I love thrift stores and this particular Goodwill is one of my favorites. The staff there are amazing and I consider many of them friends. I almost always leave the store with a new treasure whether its jewelry, a knick knack, or some clothing. Though if you're gauging it by square footage this Goodwill is one of the smallest, though that never deters me. read more
