Absolutely horrible....I just moved here and the staff was extremely rude Would not ever ever come here again I would suggest you go elsewhere for breakfast I have a disability and use a cane and I brought my 4 pound service dog and since I wasn't carrying papers I was kicked out of restaurant after they took my order and served me a drink Blond woman with an edge told me to leave . Extremely rude and disrespectful I'm certain that the disability act prevents this from occurring which is why I have called corporate and BBB regarding this establishment I am also going to contact the disability services to heighten everyone's awareness of flagrant abuse of laws that protect individuals with disabilities read more

We are tourists to Twin Falls. When we were in a store we asked for recommendations for a good breakfast spot. We were told enthusiastically by two salespeople we had to visit Ground round. I don't know if this was a set up because we felt like we didn't belong. This place is lacking hospitality. I felt so out of place here. I think this is a locals only type of place. I just recently discovered this restaurant and made the timeless mistake of judging a book by its cover. The log cabin woodsy exterior has a cool vibe and probably reminded me of great diners throughout the country. This is not that. The interior feels more like a horror film slaughterhouse even with an apropos steel door smeared with who knows what. Seats are dated, dirty, and torn. Walls have smear prints, dried food and other marks. The interior is dark and dominated by a pool table and patrons drinking beer at 8am. There is a wall of household refrigerators that are also dirty...I'll forgo divulging what one's mind imagines is in them. The breakfast was a swing and a miss. Hashbrowns are starchy and mushy, lacking flavor or even salt. Eggs cooked well under. Sourdough toast was great. Chicken fried steak and gravy were decent, but French toast was bland. There are printed no smoking signs all over the place. While I thought the customer banter was cool, this place is not for the faint of heart. Consider me spooked. read more

I was taking part in an event that started in the morning and involved the bar serving breakfast. The offering was biscuits and gravy with choice of bacon or sausage. Because I can't have biscuits and gravy, not because I simply didn't want them but because consuming them would make me ill, I asked if I could just have the two meats (two slices of bacon, 2 sausage links. Pretty paltry overall). I was told no, I could pick one and have toast. I can't have toast for the same reason I can't have biscuits and gravy, morons. Also smoking is still allowed, even while people are eating, making it a rather disgusting atmosphere. They had nothing to lose by just giving me two bacon strips and two sausage links. It's hard finding a good burger joint, one that handcrafts fresh, not frozen, beef. The day my wife and I went they had a special; juicy Lucy burger. Absolutely delicious along with their homemade fries, onion rings and chips. You can see the grill and watch the FRESH ingredients cook. Highly recommended. read more

I moved here from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I have lived in Chicago with a lot of great places to eat. Since moving to twin falls a few months ago, I have been to the GR over ten times.(Trying to eat Healthier). They have great Bacon burgers and have an amazing BBQ Chicken Sandwich. Don't bring your kid because it does still allows smoking in the bar and is not very kid friendly. The cheese sticks are probably the worse that I have had and I know my Cheese sticks. If your looking for good food this seems to be the place but the regulars are ok but I usually like to leave right after I am finished or go with carry out. The downtown location is a lot better for hanging out for a drink or two. You don't have those smoker regulars. Better for the kids read more

Totally unexpected! Generous portions, fair prices, and home style cooking at its best! The staff is helpful, friendly and enjoy their job. I stopped by while in town, had heard lots of good things. If your looking for a burger and a beer, THIS IS THE PLACE! Burgers are big, lots of french frys, and your beer mug is huge! Ate dinner with friends at the Ground Round on Main street. A lot of good food. Have issue with the $1.00 charge to " share" a meal. Had a hamburger with tots. Only thing required differently is they brought us an empty basket. We did not keep the basket, simply used it for a half an hour and returned with all the other 4 baskets we had with our meal. Nobody could explain the reason for this additional charge. So at my business if I get a request for an extra tray for your meal, I get to charge a dollar?
