Amazing burgers! This must have been the best burger I've ever had. And the chips... and the milk…read moreskake... Everything was perfect! Five stars!

Could I rank this lower than one star?? I would. For those of you that won't read a long review…read more.. here's the short story: service sucked, they gaslighted me when they got my order wrong, wildly inefficient in ordering made you pay BEFORE the meal and then also kicked us out after we told them their signage for their specials was wrong. Avoid, leave, run... don't go. So many better places to go, I had a large group and none of us will ever go back. First of all... sat down to order which took 20m. They got our drink order, then came back and took our food order, THEN came back to make us pay for our food individually which meant she had to get our food order AGAIN! Took 20m to just get our order. Then, they had 3 specials on the menu... none of which they had available. One special hand out of a burger they don't make, a hot wings challenge they don't do anymore but have signs for and a sign out front advertising a burger they don't have available. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it came out fried. Which was not on the menu. Then they told me the chef made it right and that everyone loves it fried so I should just eat it. When I asked for something different she said they would charge me for it. Another friend had her burger and it made her stomach upset for 3hrs afterwards. We leave, make a comment about the sign outside that said they don't have the specials they are advertising and they said they just don't have it "today". Which means you still don't freaking have it!?! So take the sign down it's false advertising. Then the server just said "it's fine. Bye." And closed the door in my wife's face. Soooooo... never going back. You shouldn't either. If I could give it negative stars I would.

So glad we chose this place. Immediately got a table, perused the menu, for me, I found the bangers & mashed potatoes. It was awesome, and plentiful. Almost too much. The others picked the signature dish of Vol Au Vents (open faced chicken pot pie). They loved them, cleaned their plates. All meals were hot and freshly prepared. Quite good! Again, the service was awesome, many people covering all the tables. NO waiting. The beer selection was really good. I enjoyed a Kilkenny ale, others had the O'hara's witches brew. Very Good as well. The restaurant was busy, but not noisy. Good atmosphere for eating and having a conversation. Thank you!

From the moment you walk in the doors, you have to walk up steps and are greeted right at the bar. The atmosphere is cozy and the waiters are all pretty fun with the typical Irish sarcasm we have learned to smile at and join in with. The food was just okay. We had the burger and the lasagne. It was nothing epic, was edible, but nothing wowed us. I would have loved to try the Kytler's whisky and beers, but they were interestingly not offered so we stuck with the Guiness.

And now I know why. The previous time I had been to KFC (the time before this occurrence), I had been relatively satisfied; what more could you expect from a fast food place? They had changed their chips to the skinny ones, reminiscent of McDonald's. It was all fine; nothing too excitable but nothing bad enough to prompt a bad review. But last night, at 9:15 after I had gotten off work, I had a craving for some chicken. I ordered a fillet burger meal and asked for an Oreo krushum in place of a drink (of course willing to pay the difference). With it came an order of gravy and some extra boneless chicken for the crave-rs at home once they knew I was visiting KFC. There was one person on the till, with six sets of orders to fill in the queue. Fair enough, it was late. But I checked the sign before wandering in and it said the restaurant was open until 10pm. Apart from the long waiting time, what I got was a bit of a disgrace for the amount of money I paid. For those of you who may not know KFC runs a little pricier than McDonalds, probably the closet comparison restaurant in the Crescent. Thinking about my experience last night, I'm kicking myself today that I didn't speak up about what I was given; being tired and wanting to get home made me overlook things I shouldn't have. After a long-ish wait I was handed my bag of food and my krushum. I turned to leave, glancing down at what I had just been handed, having tried to avoid little kids in order to get to the counter to take my food previously, and was a little annoyed at what I found; my krushum was HALF filled. I didn't bother to turn around and say anything, with more people in the line and only two girls out front, but I should have. I was given half of the drink that I ordered and had to pay full price for. When I got home, the crave-ers were disappointed that the boneless chicken I had ordered, with two dipping sauces, had come lonely - they had forgotten the sauces. Now, the sauces are definitely something I could overlook, but the krushum is really beginning to grate my nerves. I am annoyed at myself for being too tired and too intimidate by the prospect of causing upheaval to say anything when I should have. It's like being served half a pint at a bar. It was my cheat day, the one day in the week I treat myself to one meal and it was a disappointment. All I can say is, I don't think I'll be going back to KFC any time soon and I urge people to speak up if there is ever anything wrong with your meal. I wish I had.
