Bartenders were excellent. Ambience was friendly and beautiful. Drinks are pricey but I'll be backread more

My buddy came into a few tickets for a Music Festival Fund Raiser (?¿) Don't quote me on that but I…read moreswear that's what they told me the event was that evening. Alas, I digress.. The place is constructed of exclusively wood, exposed brick & old sheet metal. It had an immediate charm about it for sure and overall would be a great place for an event. We parked in the large lot on the same plot as the building. My first reaction to the place was how cool and aesthetically pleasing it is - especially for the little neighborhood it's in:/ They've got a relatively large, healthy lawn in the back with the the little bulb lights that everybody likes. There was also a stage out back but it wasn't being used when I was there. From the parking lot you take a few steps up to the floor level of the wrap around porch. As you actually enter the building you enter into the smaller of the two main chambers. There will be a bar to your immediate right and the larger, stage room to our left. Naturally there was a band playing in the larger, banquet style room. As mentioned it had a stage on the far end and also a bar with plenty of open space for seating/dancing/tom-foolery. On a quick side note, the bar had a quite expansive and modestly priced assortment of your typical offerings. I will say the bartender I had knew nothing about the local beer much less helpful wine and spirit suggestions - he was friendly though :) Another quick side note, the caterer, The Habana Club, was EXCELLENT and offered extremely delicious and authentic Cuban fare. DEFINTELY check them up if you're in the area and into that sort of thing. TL;DR Definitely worth using for a private party or trying to get into the next local event they're hosting. Until next time.. CHEERS !!!

It is a beautiful venue! But it is a shame to be run to poorly. My sister just got married in March…read more2014 and these were are experiences. 1. For the head count we paid for there wasn't much food and they began putting food away and stopped replenishing before out guest were finish. (The head count we paid for was less then showed up) and the food wasn't worth what you paid for and didn't taste very good. I would chose a different cater. 2. My parents are struggles and have been calling to receive their deposit. They say they will call and have not and said they have mail the check but after 2 week of that conversation they still haven't received it. FIGHT TO GET DEPOSIT BACK! 3. The man helping traffic and parking. When a guest asked if they were at the correct wedding the man didn't know who's wedding it was. Stood out in the parking lot twirling his vest not helping cars park. 4. Abbie the worker at the venue never checked in with the bride to make sure everything was fine. When the bride and bridal party arrived to the venue we couldn't find any staff on site. We had to call to find help to answer questions. They were also suppose to put reserve signs on dinner tables for family. They were also suppose to move vases from ceremony to cake table but didn't. We had to ask friends to move items. I was married at Acadian Village and used a caterer in Lafayette. They were wonderful and I had tons of delicious food left over for the same number of guest my sister had! I highly recommend looking someone else.

We thought the food prepared was fantastic; crawfish etoufee, steak, jambalaya to go with fried catfish, meat pies, boudin balls and hush puppies gave our out of town guests a great cajun meal experience.
