Went here for Mother's Day lunch. It was picked by my daughter and I wasn't all that enthused as most Indian restaurants in Newcastle are good but not great. This one is the exception. We had the banquet and it was superb. Great care was paid to even the slightest items, the papadams were light and not oily, the rice fluffy & moist, the naans delicious. Entree was tandoori chicken, lamb cutlets and steamed fish. The cutlets were probably the stand out but it was a close call. They were cooked in a fresh yoghurt sauce with spice and melted in the mouth. Main was a selection of 4 curries. Not a morsel was left. I cannot tell you what was best as they were all incredible. Dessert was a selection of Indian ice cream.
This is the best Indian I have had and I have had Indian all around the world. So impressed that this quality is available in Newcastle
Should mention the staff, they were friendly and very helpful. Would recommend this restaurant unreservedly. read more
