From previous experience having dinner at families houses, the food has always been tasty. I enjoy…read morethe butter chicken and lamb korma with the meat plentiful and tender with lots of accompanying sauce. The beef madras tonight was a bit chewy but still enjoyable. I thought I'd treat myself on the way home and ordered the onion bhajis. They are the cheapest of the entree options and I think that shows in the final product. Pretty bland except for a quick bite from a cumin seed or large piece of onion. The garlic naan was great to lap up the curry sauces but was a little charred. The service is the main reason however for giving 3 stars. When I called I was asked to hold the line (no issue with that) but was left to hear banging, clanging and talking in the background. Hold music would be more professional. When I came to pick up my order I was reluctantly served by a young girl that either wasn't well trained or just lazy. She pretty much had to be coaxed to serve me.

I'm no expert on Indian food, and I know many people say that Raj's in town is better, but I'll…read moretake Bay of India any day! The staff are super friendly and very quick and attentive. I always get the Chicken Tikka Masala. It is to die for! It's classed, appropriately, as medium spiciness. My husband is a fan of the Butter Chicken, which is also pretty damn good. The naans really steal the show, and they're what put it over Raj's for me. We always get the Garlic + Cheese Combo Naan, and they are always cooked just perfectly, with the crispy edges and the gooey, cheesy middle. Honestly, I just can't say enough good things about this place. It's so good, we've made room for it in our weekly budget. Definitely give it a try!

I went to this restaurant tonight without checking previous reviews, and I'm so glad that I didn't…read more From the moment I walked in, the experience here was superb. Being the first to arrive right when they opened for dinner, my dinner partner and I were able to experience the decor, and have the place to ourselves. Everything was bright and colorful, and it appeared that things were new-ish / redone, and I felt good being in this space. There was some Indian music videos playing on the big screen and the nice beats combined with Indian dance parties (as Indian music videos usually go) created an upbeat happy atmosphere. We were greeted warmly, and seated in a great spot at the window overlooking the shops and street. So far, so good. There was a very cute, new waitress being trained and she was shadowing the Indian woman who looked to be the boss. Both were friendly and helpful. We received our water and they asked for our drink order straight away. After taking some time to look at the menu, we found some tasty looking lamb saag and chicken tikka masala. Add in an order of basmati rice and naan, and I was starting to anticipate an amazing meal. I was hoping that the food lived up to the experience so far. They did not disappoint. The food came out in about 10 to 15 minutes and was fresh, smelled amazing, and was cooked to perfection. The lamb was tender and juicy, and complimented the saag nicely. The chicken tikka masala had a perfectly spiced tomato based sauce. After creating a base of rice and adding each dish on top of the rice, it was one of tastiest Indian meals I've had in a long time. There was plenty left over after having two people eating some of both dishes. Feeling very full and satisfied, we got the rest packaged for some take away, and finished everything off with perfect tasting Chai tea, with a bit of milk and sugar. Epic meal. Epic service. Great atmosphere. If you want Indian food, go here. If you like the FOOD of this place as much as I did, leave a great review. The other reviews I've seen were from long ago and do not reflect the current reality of this place.
