There are some good challenges with water, sand, and fescue but nothing too wild or unfair. As it's fall, many leaves were off the trees but they were working hard throughout the day to get them off the playing areas. The front nine is more wooded and the back much more open. Green were in good condition (except for the leaves). Pretty course. Staff was nice. Had a dog at the turn which (I think) was from a local meat market and it was so good. Great stop.

Expanding conference space that is modern, clean, and functional is a no-brainer, and I'm so glad that St Cloud is keeping up with the times and keeping up with the growth. Even though I'd prefer to have meetings in the Cities, the clients my business serves are statewide, so outer Metro hubs like St Cloud, Duluth and Rochester are often utilized by the associations who put on the conferences. Putting up with the freezing cold in the exhibit hall a few years back while they were building the expansion. So now about that parking lot. In the past, there were probably 20 parking spots (Okay, that may be a bit extreme. There were probably 30.) that were shared with the Civic Center and surrounding businesses. You'd have to park underneath the Civic Center in a cold, old, scary parking structure. The nightmare actually came when all the trade show vendors packed up their booths and we had to wait in line to cram ourselves, booth and SWAG into one elevator to get to our cars. Not any more! I'd much rather park outside all day for $6.00 and just stroll out of the Civic Center and walk a short distance to my car. It's a piece of cake now! There's a 'skyway' that connects the Civic Center to Le St-Germain Suite Hotel (Really? St Cloud is a university town. Who are they kidding?), and many local businesses are within walking distance. I booked my stay for 1 night on their website. The stay and their facilities were fine and as…read moreexpected. 10 days after my stay I got an email saying that I had stayed for 8 nights and it attached my receipt. I called the hotel and talked to a manager and she refunded my 7 extra nights but was not able to explain why the extra charges occurred. I didn't think much of it and was just happy my card got refunded. 2 weeks later I had $844 charged to my credit card and called again to inquire about it. The front desk person couldn't look into it but said the manager Gina would look into it for me and return my call. She never returned my calls. I called back 2 days later and the same front desk person answered and remembered me and said Gina would be in at 3pm and also gave me her email address. I asked the front desk person to have Gina call me back when she came to work for the day. I also composed an email to her detailing my issues with my confirmation number and asking her for a call back. My email and calls were never returned. I called back 2 days later and a different guy said he could look into it and said he saw a lot of strange charges but didn't understand them. He said he would get with his manager and call me back later that night. He never called back. I called back again and he said it would have to wait for Gina to call me back. I asked for a copy of the charges to emailed to me and he said he would. He never did. I called today to talk to the GM Brad, the front desk person said he was in but not in his office and offered to send me to his voicemail. I was then transferred to his voicemail and it was full and not able to accept new voicemails. I tried calling the front desk back, but the phone rang for 2 minutes and then hung up on me, I tried again and the same thing happened. I waited 10 minutes and tried calling again, but it still rang for 2 minutes and then hung up on me. At this time the issue is still unresolved.

No servers came by to take our drink order. Big opportunity missed. Servers were everywhere but apparently not running the dish washer, and also they were taking our food plates without asking if that person was finished. People! You were open until 2pm. What on earth are you trying to pull here. At 12:45 the soup and crepes were done for. The meat selections were out. What exactly was worth $34.99? We tried this brunch ten years ago and were disappointed. Thought we would try it again. We will never be back.
