Wow! An eventful evening! I had two dances, with Jasmine and Somara. Excellent work! skilled technique, accompanied by confident and polite instruction. This early Monday morning I helped myself to the free water at the bar (Thank you for free, self serve water) when suddenly, a gentleman was surrounded and began shouting in the centre of the room. Wearing a big white puffy coat indoors, this late thirties man was behaving aggressively and had to be escorted out by security, who removed him with powerful, yet professional restraint. I commented on the scene with some workers behind me, then went back to my water and watching a dance (i do not know who was on the pole at the time, sorry. Great job! Jasmine approached me first. I'm sure it was obvious to anyone in the club i was new, as the first thing i tried to do was sit upstairs by myself. I was uncomfortable at first, but Jasmine did a great job breaking the ice and explaining the rules while maintaining tension. WOW! It immediately became obvious to me i was in the right place! Incredible! I was expecting to only accept one dance and start the long walk home, so i had tipped on top of my prior fee, (which may have contributed enthusiasm, and i recommend other patrons do the same!!!!) when Somara introduced herself. I was more confident after learning the process, and now felt comfortable to make conversation. I had only $15 dollars left, which i chose to offer in exchange for minutes of her time, discussing personal issues to do with my social circle, which need not be mentioned in this review. "No matter what, you need to be true to yourself. If something isn't working, don't force it." Well, if those aren't words to live by! Suddenly it felt right to buy a dance, it felt correct. I withdrew cash, (from the interior ATM, which is in much better condition then the one outside.) the same amount i had paid Jasmine, and went to a different booth. nothing felt forced, as Somara danced around me i was reminded of a time in my childhood when I'd lost a fight to a girl with high stilettos and black hair. A good memory, and a great dance! In the hall just outside the naked curtain of beads, a Gentleman was explaining how Ramadan had occurred four days ago, and there was a sense of inner conflict or a sense of personal spiritual dissatisfaction, which did only momentarily distract me from Somaras' Beautiful demonstration of expertise. It was time for me to go, and Somara not only left me with an erection, but a new outlook on myself. It was time. I made my way out of the establishment, and couldn't BELIEVE what i saw. White puffy coat was surrounded by cops on one side and security on the other. The long curly haired bouncer made eye contact with me, and as i walked pasted the conflict, ignoring it entirely, i said to him "you can see why this place works!" I wanted you all to know how profoundly you have impacted my life in such a short time, that i wrote a whole synopsis. Stepping into this place was the worse experience I ever had. First, the girls are mediocre and not hot. Second, the security guy was so hostile towards me for some reason. He kept harassing me and ask me to move from a place to another. Maybe he is racist or something, I didn't understand his f$ issues. Came by with some friends to look at some, um, people. Parking here is awful. Free spots after 2200. Yay! Having been to Fanclub (the previous incarnation of this place), it looks like they didn't renovate the place at all other than the addition of a stage in the corner. In other words, the venue looks like a pub with a stage thrown in. This stage has the highest pole (basically 2 stories high) that I have ever seen in such an establishment. Beers were reasonably priced. Looks like they still have a decent selection. The performers here are rather talented. Some of them can really climb that pole. Then there's the stuff where they hang off loops of curtain (is there a name for this stuff?) and do their um, gymnastics. It was a (really) slow day the evening we went, so there was plenty of seating available. Most of the seats consist of armchairs (again unchanged from the previous venue), and the front edge of the stage even has a place to put one's beer. Overall the performances were pretty entertaining, other than this one performer who slid a dollar bill on the floor of the stage in front of us for a few minutes, looking for tips. It was a bit painful to watch. Oh yeah, there are also the usual lap dance crew who come around every once in a while. Not really sure if I'd be back, as there are other more famous venues around town and nothing really stuck out here. Oh well, off the bucket list. read more

I love this bar. I actually remember this bar before they became a strip club and offered live Karaoke. Since they have entered into adult entertainment this place is a wonderful place for independent artist to practice their craft. Budweisers are $8 and the staff are always friendly. This place is right on the Granville strip. They have one of the tallest (if not tallest pole) in Western Canada. Weekends are usually packed. This place is open 7 days a week. Say hi to Stephan, Raj or Nathan if they are around. They offer some of the best hospitality around if you are lucky enough to meet them at the front. Wonderful entertainment, fair prices for drinks and open 7 days a week in the middle of the entertainment district. This is some of the finest exotic entertainment in Vancouver and worth checking out! read more

If I could give no stars I would. My biggest complaint is the female staff are rude and unfriendly towards their female patrons. This is literally the poorest experience I have had at any strip club, nightclub, or bar. I'm sad at how down hill this bar has gone and I will not return! Checked this place out since the friends I was with wanted to, and just wasn't impressed. Staff seemed super greasy which maybe is to be expected in an 'industry like this. Getting outside I can't help but hear one of their sex workers "helping" a guy who seemed too drunk to use the ATM by himself. Seemed mega shady for a number of pretty obvious reasons so I take a picture. As I do, a member of the door staff runs up and grabs me by the collar of my sweater and demands my phone in a Slavic accent. I tell him to take his hands off me and he tells me he's going to kick my ass and starts radioing for backup to do so. I figure ending my night talking to cops is a losing proposition so I shrugged out of my sweater and jogged away. Pretty curious about liquor licences and best practices .. assuming they had legally sucked the drunk out of his money wouldn't it be more proper to force him to do the withdrawal in a private setting rather than forcing the sex worker to do so in her work outfit on the street? So... really, what happened, where did FanClub go? I was hanging out with the boys and had one friend curious on the newest 'strip' club in Vancouver, and while we were having dinner this place was consistently brought up. After two eating joints, the night was still young, and two more people in tow where one was my young brother we finally decided to say, "what the hell" and go down here to check out exactly what it was without entering... well we eventually entered after pacing up and down Granville Street. This place does have a dress code, not too strict, but from their very pretty website - no sleeveless shirts, no gym wear! My friends with me tonight were borderline gym wear, yet the man in charge at the door after talking to us said they would let us in. My mind at this point while looking at the door was wondering if it was the former FanClub, not till I entered, right then I realized it was, from the high ceilings to the excessively huge stylish ceiling fan, this was the place I remembered yet somehow it became an 'adult' entertainment club? $15 was cover getting in this place, a pat down by the intimidating looking bouncers outside, a nice scan of your ID with a picture into a camera.. and you are in. The one thing that was said on their website was something of a very high, tall, pole, and on the grand stage, there was the pole right in the centre of the stage, and the crowd of people with their drinks in hand, whether standing or sitting was taking in the show. At the same time during the time I came in, I noticed a small semi-private area where there was a girl doing a dance on the size of a small table top to what I would consider as VIP service. Throughout the night there were minimally dressed woman walking around the place, and if you have been to the former establishment, there really was no reno involved, just a sign change and adding the pole and some curtains to the stage. I can say the females who are peforming on this stage definitely have some thigh power, doing spins and tricks on that crazy high pole is no joke, and like any place like this, the seating right around the stage was loaded up. But this is where the first complaint is.. the seating, as if you don't have a table or sat near the bar, it's just all over the place, and the standing room only.. you are probably blocking someone who wants to catch the show, that's just one problem of the night. The next was the intermission, from one performing lady to the next, it felt like a good 20 minutes of horribly mixed music by the douche of a DJ who kept on slewing profanities to try to get the crowd to make some noise in an annoying European accent. The wait was ridiculous, as you could have comfortably had a few drinks in between without 'downing' them.. and the next show probably has not started. The last, was just the music, while the dance was going on, as we stayed for 3.. it just was not a good mix of fun beats, and the volume at which they were played at... please, turn the treble down, a little bit more bass would have been appreciated. If you are looking for a private dance, they do have those... or what they call 'air' dances, yet if you are looking for a more fun strip club, there are other places where you can throw your bills up in the air in! read more

This place is very upscale in terms of vibe and staff quality. It's the only one to go to in Vancouver.

If you're thinking of coming here, don't bother. Cover charge is $20, twice that of the No. 5 Orange. They don't take debit, only cash or credit, which feels shady. The much-touted "exotic shower" (the dancer gives you a lapdance and takes a short shower with you watching in the booth) costs $100 per single song, and at least my experience felt like half a song. Not worth it, and the dancer gets your clothes all wet. Worst of all, their ATM has a N I N E dollar transaction fee, so each mediocre, no-touching, hundred-bucks-per-song lapdance actually costs you $109 unless you get cash elsewhere. They know it's BS too, since they outright tell you to go accross the street to the 7-11 instead. By the end of two-ish hours, I was getting annoyed at having to turn down the dancers (one of which is downright scary looking) and left after having offended one of them with my crouchiness (sorry, hon, it's not your fault my night was ruined). Twice the cost for a quarter the fun of the No. 5 Orange. So go to the Orange instead and get your money's worth, coz the Granville Strip is a lemon. read more

On my second stop for the first night of Vancouver for us was The Granville Strip. An "adult" entertainment club and apparently pretty new according to the cabbies we spoke to. Annnnyway so - it's not quite the adult club I'm used to which isn't a bad thing. The wooden bar and floors are more akin to a western saloon versus the type of club you'd go here for. Lack of carpeting makes footsteps pretty loud but thats all hidden by the loud loud music coming from stage right where the DJ Booth is. The main stage dancers though - i found a bit interesting on the night i went, were "airelists" exotic dancers that learned how to pole dance. They were doing semi complex to more complex moves as forms of dance vs a tool or prop on the stage to help remove clothing. That was fun! Although they did throw down - it was fun watching. Later throughout the night - more girls started walking around talking to people, a massage girl came by and offered services...but she looked like an honest to goodness masseuse vs a working girl who just happens to be ok at massage. And she looked like she could take down a bear too. The most beautiful girl i've ever laid eyes on sat and talked with us for a little while so Nikki if you see this send me a message lol! read more

First time being to a strip club. Me, my gf, and my cousin decided to check it out. $15 at the door. We were the only women (besides the dancers) in the entire establishment. They only have draft/bottled beer and a few other selections. No mixed drinks or interesting shots. Definitely 100% male menu. The dancers were pretty amazing on the pole, but I felt like they didn't have any good off-pole choreography. Basically if a guy put money down she'd go twerk in front of him, and then move onto the next guy. I think the music was a bit too loud. I had to shout in the servers ear. Concert-loud. Had a really fun night! Unfortunately, it was a really annoying start to the night. I only put down one star because the only thing that was entertaining was watching the girls dance, the servers, and hostess (Holly). We had a stagette event set up with a male stripper. It was nice in the beginning with our own booth and then when Buzz (the stripper) arrived, he was not friendly at all to our party. He shouted at us to move to one side of the booth and that absolutely ruined our mood. When everything was booked prior to the event, we were promised 1 hour with the stripper. He barely stayed for 30 minutes. Also, promised group photos: Buzz looked like he wanted to get his money and get out and the hostess or server was MIA. And what annoyed my party was that the club overbooked my party with another stagette event (thankfully we decided to leave) Moral of the story? Go for the girls.
