    Crab Dip
    Lori D.

I am so glad a coworker recommended this restaurant to me. I had no idea it was actually part of a local chain with multiple locations, but this one happened to be just a short five-minute walk from our hotel, the Pan Pacific, making it incredibly convenient. The location itself is beautiful, situated right on the water with a modern, stylish design. We chose to sit outside, and despite it being a cool Vancouver evening, we were perfectly comfortable thanks to the outdoor heaters. The seating was especially nice, with cushioned lounge-style chairs that felt clean, comfortable, and inviting. Between the waterfront setting, cozy seating, and heaters, it was a wonderful atmosphere. To start, I ordered a frozen sangria, which is one of my favorite drinks. It was absolutely delicious, perfectly frozen, smooth, and refreshing without being overly sweet. It was garnished with a slice of orange and was one of the better sangrias I've had. We also ordered the crab dip, and it was outstanding. Honestly, it was chef's kiss perfect. I devoured almost all of it and was actually a little disappointed that my son had eaten some of the chips because I still had dip left at the end and wanted every last bite. It was creamy, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened chicken, and I was genuinely blown away. I've eaten chicken dishes all over the world, and this was some of the best chicken I've ever had. It was incredibly moist, juicy, and packed with flavor. The seasoning was excellent, and it was grilled to perfection. I wasn't expecting such a simple dish to be so memorable. The roasted potatoes underneath were delicious, and even the asparagus which I wasn't initially excited about, it worked perfectly with the dish. In fact, I ordered a side kale salad because I wasn't sure I'd enjoy the asparagus, but the entire plate came together beautifully. Every component complemented the others, creating a meal that was both flavorful and satisfying. My son ordered a burger and said it was very good as well. The restaurant does get busy, and there was a short wait when we arrived, but it was only about 10 minutes. We timed it well and were seated fairly quickly. Once seated, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly despite how busy the restaurant was. Between the waterfront location, comfortable atmosphere, excellent service, and truly exceptional food, this was easily one of the highlights of our Vancouver trip. If I ever find myself back in Vancouver, I will absolutely return. This wasn't just a great meal....it was one of the best dining experiences I've had anywhere.

This place is a must try in Vancouver! The vibes! The staff was great. Quick service and attentive. But the food! Wow such a great happy hour. Started with a steak carpaccio and wow was it great! One of the best I've ever had. Also shared chicken sliders, a sushi roll and tuna tartar. All of it was delicious and great sizes for happy hour. Lastly those dozen peace Bellinis amazing! We need one in vegas lol

Last lunch before our flight. Place looks great, beautiful water views and nice vibe. Reminds me of the Houston's in Pompano. Spot on service and my kale salad was delicious. There was also a tasty side of Yam Fries (not pictured). Wish we had a location in Florida.

Pros: Food, Prices, Frozen Sangria Cons: Dirty, bad service Visiting BC and see cactus club cafes all over the place so we thought it had to be good. The coal harbour one was right next to our hotel. Walked in at 9:00pm on a Friday with no reservations. Stood by the front check in hostess counter for 5 minutes while we watched 7 (yes 7 young female employees behind a small counter) look for a customers charger who had left it there earlier in the day. It took 7 of them minutes to open the drawer and hand her her lost and found item. Then, when we were finally acknowledged, one girl looked up without a smile and pointed outside "the girl with a tablet will help you outside". We go back out to see Polly standing on the side of the door behind a plastic tarp covered shelter.... greeted us and we waited another 5 minutes. Finally 1 of the 7 girls came out to show us to a table. We were handed menus and two warm waters without ice, one of which had a huge chunk of slimy food on the outside of the glass. THAT MADE ME NERVOUS TO CONTINUE TO EAT HERE. Our server Alex arrived and was nice. We ordered 3 food items to share and all were good! He was timely with the order, and with clearing our table. We then were given our check, and then waited 27 minutes between check and taking our payment so we could leave. Wouldn't go back to ANY Cactus club in the future knowing it's poorly run by kids and held to lower standards.

yes, I was influenced by Drake, and honestly, no regrets! The Peach Bellini was super yummy. Love the location and the overall vibe ..it's trendy but still comfortable. The food was good, nothing crazy, but definitely solid. I'd come back for sure, especially for the drinks and the atmospher

Cactus Club Cafe is a well-known Canadian chain of affordable Western restaurants, yet its decor and service rival those of high-end establishments. The locations are always carefully chosen, attracting both locals and tourists. This particular branch in Canada Place is a landmark, marked by the Winter Olympics torch logo at the entrance, making it a must-visit spot for tourists in Vancouver. Many people stop here for a meal after sightseeing. Secure a corner balcony spot, make a reservation in advance, and enjoy unbeatable downtown night views. With the weather getting better, watching the sunset while eating and drinking is simply wonderful. As it's a chain, the menu is consistent, focusing on healthy and affordable options. Yam Fries are a must-order for me every time - scallops and prawn ceviche, a Southeast Asian-style spicy and sour flavor that I love!

CACTUS CLUB CAFE, located in Canada Place, Vancouver, is quite nice. I really liked the food, atmosphere, view, and service. I'd definitely come back again.

Ehh came here for new Year's Eve, and we were pretty disappointed. I'd say it's standard brunch fare but the way the waiters sold the food to us was that we'd have our socks blown off or something lol. We ordered the Szechuan Lettuce Wraps, their signature ravioli with shrimp, and the salmon. The Szechuan wraps did not taste anything like Szechuan food at all lol. It was like just using what tasted like Viet chili sauce. The salmon and ravioli were also just okay. Felt like something I could make at home from trader joes, except the ravioli had lots of truffle oil. Also for what it's worth, when I was going to the washroom, the guy behind me was like "it's a hike to get to the bathroom" lol

The Cactus Club Cafe is a Vancouver-born chain that's been successful because of it's meticulous attention to menu variety, food consistency, service quality and creating spaces with a cool vibe. No matter which location I go to, the food and service standards are relatively high for a casual chain restaurant. My wife and I went her for dinner after an event at the convention centre. With the Christmas Market next door, the night was quite busy. We waited 15-20min in the walk-in line before getting a table. Once seated, we ordered the following: - Wagyu Beef Carpaccio: Very good. All the ingredients work well together. Probably one of the few times where there was too much bread from a ratio perspective (which is not a problem). - Tuna Stack: Very good. Classic representation of Vancouver food. Delicate and delicious. - Rigatoni Bolognese: Very good. Al-dente, and just the right amount of sauce to coat the pasta without drowning it. Well-prepared. Service was good. Did everything she's supposed to do, was timely and pleasant. No complaints. Overall, another good visit. This location is popular because of it's location and views, but the food or service remains consistently strong.

My girlfriend and I visited Vancouver for New Year's and so many friends told us that we had to try Cactus Club Cafe. We'd never heard of it before, so our curiosity was high. We ended up arriving during their happy hour (2-5PM & 9-10PM depending on the day), which was perfect timing. Walking in, the place immediately impressed us. Modern, and upscale lounge vibes. The interior felt boujee in the best way, and we even got seated at a table with a beautiful view of the water. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the place was packed, which is always a good sign. For drinks, we ordered the Sunset Soda and their happy hour white wine, which were both great. For food, we tried the Avocado Dip, the Mini Crispy Chicken Sandwiches, and a tuna roll. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and honestly such a good value for happy hour pricing. What surprised us most was learning that there are multiple Cactus Club locations all over Vancouver. With how nice this place was, we'd love to see one open in the States someday.

While in the area for a few days, The staff at the hotel recommended the Cactus Club Cafe, so we went for lunch. I requested an outside waterview seat and they found us the perfect spot. Arcacia is our server and was so amazing and friendly! Such wonderful knowledge of the area as well as the good and made some great suggestions. We shared the Tuna Temaki and then a green goddess salad and an order of the chicken tenders. Everything was delicious and fresh!

we came on july 3rd 8:30pm, the day of a convention next door. BUSY would be an understatement, we couldn't sit down and have a casual conversation for how loud it was. football playing on tv.100% wished i reserved for WATERFRONT dining. if not pls choose patio! SERVICE: our waiter was inconsiderate. busy hours are understandable but we waited 25 minutes and had to ask politely for our dishes to finally be served. (3/4 were alr done and we watched tables around us have appetizers served early on). waiter did ask how our meal was once. we gave them $7 in coins and they estimated it to be $2. we had to pull them back and ASK that they count correctly. we asked to pay partial in cash and the rest in card bc we needed to get rid of our canadian bills and they got irritated. actually FLUNG the receipt at us and said we didn't have to tip. took the bill and walked away. FOOD: FANTASTIC baja zesty tacos, the guac wasn't rly guac. maybe mixed w some ranch?? the butternut squash ravioli is apparently rated highly in all of vancouver. VERY BUTTERY, not very truffle, oily and mushy inside. flavor was phenomenal though. the MEDIUM MILLIONARE STEAK was okay. dry and i don't get how it pairs w shrimp? the fries and string beans mediocre. would not come back.

We came here for a Winnie the Pooh Afternoon Tea. Oh my goodness...it far exceeded my expectations!…read moreHats off to the kitchen staff for coming up with such a creative and whimsical afternoon tea. First thing that caught my eye was the cover of the afternoon tea menu. It was red with a picture of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin printed upon it in a shiny gold colour. When flipped over, it had the menu for the afternoon tea printed upon it. I was super impressed that they even had a separate menu printed for Vegetarians. (I opted for a Vegetarian menu). There was a cute little ceramic jar that was shaped like a Honey pot, and it had sugar cubes in it! Then there was this booklet that was pages long, and divided into Chapters. It was basically the menu again, but in the form of a small book. Each Chapter of the book described different foods from the afternoon tea. The last chapter listed all the different tea flavors one could choose. When we sat down and read this menu, I heard more than one person at the table say that they wanted to take this menu home. Guess what? For the price of $25, one could take this menu home as a memento of this extraordinary afternoon tea? Maybe I'm a bit of a sucker, but how often does one get to go to an afternoon tea as special as this? And I've always been a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh. So I coughed up the $25 and brought one of these menus home with us! Food was sooo good. I loved how warm the scone was when I cut it open. This was one of my favourite items. The sandwiches were amongst my favourites as well. As phenomenal as the experience was, I do think there are a few things which could have improved the experience. For one, a bit more service would have been appreciated. I had to wave my hand in the air to get our server's attention so that I could ask her to refill our tea pots with more hot water. Would have been nice if she'd just come around a bit more often and offered to top it up for us. Tea cozies on our tea pots might have been another improvement. A lot of my tea cooled down by the time I got to it. I like my tea hot but I didn't get in very many cups of hot tea as there was a lot of food to eat and by the time I was ready to pour myself some tea to wash down my food, the tea was...not so hot anymore. Oh, and while most of the food was appropriately sized, there was this one chocolate cookie sandwich that was really gigantic and suggested to be eaten last. We were so full already from all the other foods in the afternoon tea, and then to squeeze that giant cookie sandwich in...right at the end? A smaller and daintier cookie sandwich would have been preferred. It was overall a truly phenomenal experience. Yes, I do think it could have been slightly better, but I do emphasize the word "slightly". The points lost were so minor...I would still highly recommend this afternoon tea to anyone. It was well worth the money. It's offered every weekend for now but not sure how long they'll keep this around so if you're interested in a Winnie the Pooh themed afternoon tea, I'd make a reservation for it ASAP!

For dinner we shared a diavola pizza and smoked salmon parpadelle. The pizza was good but the crust was soggy. The salmon parpadelle was good but I think it would have been better with another pasta - spaghetti, linguine or fettucine as the pasta could not be twirled with a fork and spoon and had to be cut up. The service was excellent. When our server Malaka heard that we were coming in from Abbotsford she said that she would give us the "best seat in the restaurant". When we opted to sit on the patio she gave us a complimentary tiramisu as a thank you. It was such a kind gesture. It was a nice relaxing evening and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We spent the evening of Valentine's at The Stock Room recently. Arriving around 6:30 p.m., the host…read moretold us there was only bar seating available. This was fine with us since the goal was to have a couple of drinks and stuff ourselves with some burgers and fries from Hundy (the burger joint we needed to go through to get to Stock Room). I started with the dangerous liaison cocktail (beefeater gin, peach, lemon, sugar, butterfly pea flower). This was a solid drink, refreshing and hit the spot. My second drink was spreadsheet (beefeater, st. germain, lime, strawberry syrup, green strawberry bitters). I enjoyed this drink better as it wasn't too sweet and the flavor profile was more to my taste when it comes to cocktails. I'm happy to have found another bar to add to my list of places to grab a good drink in Vancouver.

We ordered a la carte, it was the normal menu with a few specials for Valentine's day. I had one of the Valentine's cocktails, very pink and girly. Food wise everything we ordered was very tasty. The seared scallops were one of the best things I've had in Vancouver. Lovely fresh west coast oysters. The grilled octopus was also very well cooked. I was a bit more disappointed with the seasoning of the seared tuna steak frite. It lacked some kick very basic flavours . For dessert the creme brûlée was quite good, a classic is you like french desserts. The place was quite busy. Service was still fast and plesant. Just a bit to noisy for a romantic dinner.

But at 7:00 PM we were told they still didn't have a table because the terrace was closed due to rain and they were trying to accommodate everyone inside. The problem is that the rain was clearly in the forecast all day, so this did not feel unexpected. It honestly felt like the restaurant overbooked and was not prepared for the situation. We ended up waiting around 20 minutes past our reservation time, sitting in a crowded entrance area with many other people also waiting for tables. It left a pretty disappointing first impression, especially when the table had already been booked in advance. The service also felt rushed toward the end. The receipt was brought to us immediately after we finished eating without us asking for it, which gave the impression they wanted to turn the table over as quickly as possible. That said, the lobster poutine was actually very good. The chocolate bonbons, however, were honestly disappointing. Three very small, dry chocolate candies for $15 felt excessive and not worth ordering.
