I was there with my family to see Jafo and Keith Kong and we were absolutely amazed! We talked about it for days, wondering how the magic was done. I wasn't sure what to expect but the small parlor was amazing, to have the magic happening within a few feet of where you are sitting adds so much more to the show than sitting with a huge audience. $10 for a 30 minute show is an amazing value, especially in Orlando, where it can cost an arm and a leg to take the family out to do anything. I can't recommend The Great Magic Hall highly enough and plan to stop in again to be amazed! read more

For $10 and a 30 minute show this was a pretty good deal. I wish the show was slightly a little longer maybe 45 minutes to do one or two more magic tricks. But, the entertainment was very enjoyable by magician Jofe who was amazing. He involved our group in mostly ever act and was a real crowd pleaser. The event stages were nice kept, no clutter, no mess but very neatly kept. Magician Jofe exhibited 5 different magic tricks and at the end gave us all a card to learn how to count numbers and try this in our friends. I would definitely return to see another show. read more

Recently visited this show on a whim on a weekday and wasn't sure what to expect. To be completely honest, it was such a great experience! The show we saw was approximately 35 min and well worth the price point of the $10 admission. Nathan was the magician that night. His performance was polished and entertaining. We left still wondering how he did many of those tricks. As a local, I rarely visit Old Town, but if you want something fun to do, have a little laugh and have your mind blown, definitely see this show. You won't be disappointed:) read more

This may have been the best sleight of hand show I have had the pleasure of witnessing. It started with excellent coin magic the venue is interesting in that one moves fron one stage / room to another to see different acts. For me, it was all performed by the same magician, Jafo, and all were very different. It is the first time I have seen sleight of hand with billiard balls! I'm so happy we got the vip because we got to see two different magicians & both of them had very different tricks/styles. They were both FANTASTIC. This is a unique experience to see a magician perform his craft close up in an intimate setting, with only about 20 other spectators. Jason Fields (Jafo) was the performer we saw, and he was truly amazing. There were several tricks performed in a half hour show. A hidden Kissimmee gem! My boyfriend and I have been here on two occasions with two different magicians (Jafo and Terry) and thoroughly enjoyed both shows. The venue is smaller, making performances more intimate, and the magicians know their stuff backwards and forwards. Outstanding showmanship and ability to banter with their audience. The theatre has the feel of a classic magic show, with large vintage-inspired magician posters and Victorian decor. Honestly, I feel like I can't praise it enough. Just go see it. I am a huge fan of magic, having watched literally hundreds of shows around the country as well as online during COVID. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Great Magic Hall in "Old Town", Orlando FL. First of all, it is a beautiful and surprisingly large space. It doesn't have any of the cheap "joke shop" qualities you often find associated with magic venues, rather it is filled with actual artifacts from magic history: magical props, historic furniture, a signed David Copperfield poster, classic books. The show formula is enchanting and cleverly conceived: about 40 minutes of every hour is dedicated to a magic show. First you start off in what's called a "parlor" setting, and you intimate, stand up magic from one of the magicians performing. Then you move into the closeup gallery, typically filled with coin and card magic performed right under your gaze, inches to feet away. You then move to a stage setting where you see "bigger" magic, involving illusions or mentalism. The show "tour" culminates in an exhibition hall where you have the opportunity to see magic that you can actually take home with you and learn, if you decide you want to embark down the path to becoming a magician yourself. On the way out, everyone is given a simple but fooling trick to learn as a gift. And after all this, 20 minutes later, it all starts again with another round of shows -- VIP tickets (only $20!!!) get you into a new show by a second magician, plus some free snacks and drinks. Like Old Town itself, the Great Magic Hall experience is quirky, nostalgic, and really fun. The two shows I watched presented amazing magic performed by experienced magicians. "Jafo" has done 40,000 shows at Universal and has appeared on Penn and Teller, TV's top magic show. His magic is nuanced and artful, with deceptive sleight of hand and one or two truly unique pieces that I've never seen another magician perform (and I've seen so many shows, that's saying something!) Stefan Oswald was energetic, engaging, and personable. In both shows, the audience was laughing and having a good time. There were also multiple moments of "level 3" surprise when a spectator saw the impossible happen and couldn't help but react verbally and physically to the shocking moment. In short, if you're a magic enthusiast or just looking for a unique and entertaining date night or family outing, I cannot recommend The Great Magic Hall enough. Visited Friday June 29th for the 3pm show because my son loves magic and this seemed like a good deal. Turns out it was way way better because Jafo, the magician on the Penn and Teller show was the performer. Also fair to say he is a magic historian and Craftsman because he shared so much knowledge and his level of execution was perfect. We sat within a few feet of his performance and audience participation was included on every trick, my son was blown away as was I. He did the same 4 coin into the cup trick from the Penn and Teller show and added an additional element. If you like magic or want to see your kids faces go OMG for a very reasonable price then regardless of weather in Orlando, GO to The Great Magic Hall and spend an hour with Jafo. I would give this 5 stars if you're someone who is a casual fan of magic who doesn't go to shows a lot. I'm a bit of a magic "snob" I suppose and would give it4 stars for someone like me. Had booked tickets for my twin 5 year olds and myself and couldn't make it one week and they made it super easy to just show up the next week. The boys got front row seats and they absolutely loved it, a few days later they are still talking about Jafo. Jafo was utmost excellent, funny, engaging and managed to adapt to us as the audience and the younger dudes. I would recommend this for kids as well as coming here with a few friends after a few beers as he really is funny and his tricks are legit! My grandson and I came upon the Magic Hall when we were visiting Old Town. We took the tour and the guide was very enthusiastic and kind, we purchased the Wonder dust kit and spent a grand night learning how to create an illusion. We went back for the show the next night and met Jafo. An absolutely wonderful magician and performer. Someone who truely loves his craft, he educated us on different times in history as well as different types of magic. My granson enjoyed being involved in the show and I enjoyed the jokes as well as the ...magic! So worth the price of admission. Just left this unique, fun, top quality magic experience unlike anything I have been to in my 50+ years of magic. Attillio, the proprietor and guide through the history and techniques of prestidigitation does an amazing job moving his group of "students" ( that's the audience ) from room to room, of this theater experience all the while performing amazing parlor, close up and stage magic perfected by the obviously thousands of performances he has given. His display of magic props and paraphernalia is one if the largest and most diverse I have ever seen. This is a one of a kind experience for kids of all ages from 5 - 105 and will give you an excellent feel for all the different styles of magic through the ages. Came here because of the good reviews and my son and husband are magic fans. It's a small magic shop that has several rooms in an old quaint building. The whole show is about 45 mins long and Stefan takes you through different rooms and show you different magic tricks. Some tricks are pretty standard and other tricks are pretty cool. My kids enjoyed the show. By the way, the show is recommended for kids ages 5 and up. The rooms were pretty small fit about 20 people.
