There are some amazing things about this theatre space…read more I love the way the doors can slide open so on nice Orlando nights it's like an open air entrance. I love how beautiful the stairwell is going up to two. I love how much they have expanded their food and beverage line up over the years. The sound tends to be pretty good, the communication from the theatre is always amazing. They waive fees if you come to the box office to buy your tickets. The seats are comfy and almost every seat has a solid view. The box seats are the exception so be warned. The volunteers are always amazing and they are so nice. It would be cool if they opened a second location that served coffee because that line for espresso beverages is always really long. I love the breadth of show types. There's always something for everyone.

Wednesday, March 18, 2026…read more Front Row, Center Tickets to Ms. Diana Ross' Concert Performance I've been to numerous events at the Dr. Phillips Center but nothing beats having the opportunity to see a legend perform within arms-length to where you're seated. And when that "Icon of Icons" is none other than Ms. Diana Ross...well, nothing else need be said. It was a dream come true to say the least. In my most previous update of the Dr. Phillips Center I indicated meeting with and having my photograph taken with the incredible soprano Sarah Brightman was an entertainment highlight of 2025. 2026 has just begun but I will have to use the superlative "spectacular" once again. As in a spectacular show from start to finish. Diana Ross may be 81 years old!...but she still has the voice and ahem...the moves of a much younger performer. Just think of this, she was performing with the Supremes in the 1960's. I wasn't even born and by the time I was she had 12 number one singles with the OG of girl groups! And she is still working it to this day. Ms. Ross sung a multitude of her hits which kept the crowd, and my sister and I, dancing and singing throughout the evening. However, when she started to belt out Gloria Gaynor's anthem "I Will Survive" that really got the audience out of their seats. An Icon singing and Iconic piece of music is an experience second to none. Ms. Ross, you and your mark on music history is unmatched...blessings to you and your family!

It's a short walk from several restaurants and bars so you can park in one of the large parking lots. I loved the sitting area in the lobby. Intimate seating behind large picture windows. There is a concession stand with wine available. As a matter of fact, you can pre-order a drink to pick up at intermission. So cool. I'm looking forward to returning in January for the next play.

This production delivers a level of entertainment that surpasses anything I've seen at Dr. Phillips. The show transports you to a time when confidence felt earned, ambition was fueled by self‑belief, and the dream of success pulsed through every city street. Three cousins reunite unexpectedly in 1970s New York City, each chasing their shot at rhythm‑and‑blues stardom. Having been in NYC during that era myself, the musical stirred memories of a time when music wasn't designed to shock--it was meant to lift the spirit, soothe the soul, and move you from the inside out. This show captures that perfectly. From the moment the curtain rises, the audience is swept into a world that never disappoints. By the end of the evening, you realize you've been entertained more deeply than any amusement park or theater in the region could ever promise. If the spirit of James Brown, Otis Redding, or Jackie Wilson can be felt anywhere today, it's on this stage. Absolutely loved it.

The show is inspired by a Chicago gang theme at Capone's Dinner & Show, and it's super entertaining from start to finish. I tried the chicken with pasta and it was honestly delicious, good portion and full of flavor. They also have a full bar, which makes it even better because you can sip your drink while enjoying the show. The atmosphere is lively and perfect for all ages, so you can bring the whole family and still have a great time. Prices are reasonable for what you get, especially with both food and entertainment included. Plus, it's conveniently located near ICON Park on International Drive. Definitely recommend if you want something different and fun for a night out! The service was exceptional

I wouldn't recommend section C - they had those tall metal chairs that look uncomfortable in that section. I honestly wish I'd got section A, but those shows sell out so quickly that it seems harder to snag those. The sound was amazing & the band was really talented. The look/vibe is really great too! The doors don't open till right before showtime, but there's covered tables & chairs to sit & wait. Parking was a bit tight. The doormen were very fast & efficient. Everyone was friendly too! Overall I really like The Abbey & am going back again in a few weeks, Oh - pro tip - there's an absolutely OUTSTANDING sushi restaurant around the corner & they were very accommodating when we said we were in a hurry to get to the show on time. Check them out!

I understand I'm paying for the food and entertainment. But I've had better tasting fast food. Maybe it was an off night for them? Maybe they ran out of potatoes and had to use instant grainy tasting mashed potatoes? I don't know. The salad looked and tasted sad. It was servered on a warm plate. The lettuce was hot like it had been boiled. The crotons were stale and flavorless. No idea what sort of dressing they put on it. It was clear like water ( which at first I really thought maybe they had boiled the lettuce because of the tasteless clear fluids on my plate) I didn't upgrade my meal because I enjoy herb chicken, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. But my chicken was super dry. So dry I couldn't chew it and swallow. So I couldn't eat that. My chicken also still had some of it's feathers left behind on its drum leg. Already spoke about the grainy mashed potatoes. Which is just sad. Who chargers that price and serves box instant potatoes and then can't make them correctly enough to cook it until the grainy texture is out? Did they not taste their cooking before serving it? The mixed veggies were so salty that I would have had a heart attack if I had eaten them. I did do the $20 meat upgrade for my husband of the Filet Mignon. I put down medium rare. They confirmed medium rare at check him. He got well done and beyond. Pink? No where on the steak. Gray? The very center was a little gray in color. The outer edges were a brownish black. He could barely chew it. His mashed potatoes were just as mine were and so were his vegetables. We got the cheesecake for dessert. I should say we got the box cheesecake for dessert. You know the kind you buy frozen at the grocery store. It was the only thing edible. Thank goodness staff were friendly and the show nice. Will we do it again? No. Which I hate because we really love stuff like this. And we go to stuff like this often. But this was the worst in food we've been served and not the best in entertainment we've seen. It's also not the most we've spent on entertainment but its the most we've wasted on it. So even though the staff and performers were lovely people. They can't make up for the price in what the kitchen put out. Poor quality in pictures, sorry. The room was dem and dark with color lighting for the show and foggy for the time period.
