Super cute date night spot. I loved the decor first of all. I came here on a Friday night and it wasn't crowded initially but it did end up getting packed by the time I left. Where we sat I felt like we were too close to the other table however the hospitality from the owners were unmatched. They came around and introduced themselves which I appreciated. Now on to the food. The calamari was ok. I probably wouldn't order it again even though it was fresh it lacked flavor. I did enjoy my salmon dish. Nothing super fancy but the sauce was a nice touch. I would def return and try some more dishes. Can't wait to hear live music here.

I had been eyeing this place way before they opened. I thought I wrote this review months ago and never posted it! So I decided to check out the menu, taste a cocktail or two and grab a bite to a while back, like months ago a while back. When I initially posted them on insta someone loved it so much they decided to use the venue for a reception event. We had a prefixed menu and everything was so flavorful and filling. I had the short ribs with mash potatoes and it was insane. Other folks had the duck confit and I was kinda mad I didn't order that. Super tender and delicious! The cocktails are potent and the staff are so nice. I love that this is a BIPOC owned business and they also feature live music on either Friday or Saturday nights. It's definitely a go-to spot in my neighborhood and its interior is beautiful for sipping on a cocktail or hosting a party or event. Love this place and its space!

12/17/24 Last minute drink with friends. Great neighborhood bar. Friendly staff. I didn't partake but friends enjoyed immensely. I plan to return so as I can partake.

The atmosphere the ambience is nice. Jazz band that came and played in the back room while we were eating...It was nice touch now onto the drink. The drink I got was the morning after it was OK overpriced definitely. The food came out I asked the waiter what did he suggest He said there's roasted chicken he came out. I didn't know what part of the chicken exactly was. I thought it was the back on the Chicken And my friend said it was a leg split in half ?! For a $27 meal can I at least get a chicken breast? roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts were decent, but it was a mediocre meal at Best to be as expensive as it was and I was hungry so I thought that I was hungry. It would be better cause I didn't eat all day. It's OK too little tad bit overpriced to be honest, one star for the ambience two stars for the waiter staff three stars for the stars, the guy who gave us two free shots

A group of friends of mine went to Green Room months ago and I couldn't attend because I was out of state. They all raved about it which made me jealous. Another friend had an event so I came through. It was just a block away from the 2/5 train from Sterling. What I appreciated about the space is that it is an actual restaurant as opposed to a lounge. The green/leather combo interior can make one believe that it is only for light bites and some drinks. In actuality, I think the food and bar menu is extensive enough that you won't go hungry or bored. I had the calamari, truffle fries and a "Morning After" cocktail. The food was fresh out the kitchen. While the calamari personally needed a bit more salt in my opinion, it was generally well done. Plus the fries were flavorful with the associated dip. Not my personal preference but the truffle wasn't too overpowering. The drink was well made and wasn't too sweet with the prosecco. I also ordered a weekly special to go with a surf and turf of steak and lobster tail which was decent for the price (quality and quantity). My friends used the screen they had in the back and it was a great cozy somewhat private option. My one complaint is timing. They only had one bartender working when I was went. And he was swamped. My drinks and the drinks of others were done well. If you have apps like InKind or use restaurant rewards like Skymiles Dining, you can even get more out of your experience. I can definitely recommend this place to others

the coolest restaurant experience. i enjoyed live music and dinner and it was such a pleasant evening. the live music was incredible, i was seated right by the stage and the musicians were so kind and talented. food was delicious- the wings were crispy, tangy, and had a hint of spice. the truffle fries were the star! honestly the food was overall incredible.

Overall rating: 4.7 Super cute place, but I wish this place was just 20% cheaper. Same prices as Manhattan hurts my soul. I came here on a birthday party & can tell this is more of a date spot than anything. The staff was so friendly too. Items I loved in order: - Calamari 6/5 - sooo good and I will come back for this - Truffle Fries 6/5 - amazing - Beef sliders 5/5 - good & a great meal replacement if you're not looking for anything heavy - The morning after 4/5 - good - Korean chicken wings 4/5 - eh, nothing special - Bitter sweet symphony 2/5 - this is not an espresso martini. Mine had some type of cream/ baileys, but the ingredients don't imply that. It was very weird. This will definitely be on my rotation for date bars in my area.

Beautiful spot! Beautiful place! Beautiful people! Highly recommended. We went on a calm Wednesday night, with no acts but a dope play list played by the bartender, and still had an amazing time celebrating two birthdays in our party group. Our meals included lamb meatballs, seafood tostadas, sliders, calamari, and Korean wings. The mains were duck confit, boneless ribs, burger, and the beer special. All well done and tasted exquisite.

The Green Room is a new addition to the neighborhood that has potential, especially which a good selection of live music. The interior is beautifully decorated following the green & gold scheme to the small details. The service is very friendly and clearly strives to provide a fine dining experience in a bar style setting. The cocktail list includes some interesting creations and the small bites list is very appealing with good value for money. The gazpacho was particularly good. The entrees on the other hand are overpriced, despite being well executed and tasty. For $28, I expect more creative dishes with at least two side elements, not just a cup of rice with duck leg or a few stalks of asparagus beneath a filet of salmon, and a sauce dish should be wiped on the outside before leaving the kitchen. Strawberry chutney finger prints are after all not very appealing and very messy. Maybe sticking with a tapas style menu of small dishes only would serve better for now.

I came for an event the first time here and it was top tier. So I decided to come back and check out brunch. I came in on a Sunday and it was quite and no wait for a seating. We sat at the bar area which was good. The service was excellent and the drinks were tasty. When I went there was no brunch drink specials. I order the shakshuka with a side of bacon and it was delicious. The brunch menu is small but still worth trying.

Came here for brunch. I was so disappointed with the food and portion sizes. I found the prices to be too priced. , I ordered the pancakes - but they were more like the size of silver dollars (mini pancakes). The pancakes were only ok, nothing special and I had to wait about 5 minutes for syrup. I also had a salad to add to the meal and it was more like the size of a side salad. I will not be back for brunch. Not the spot to go to for brunch.

Food was good. Bartender John is dope. Looks like a good spot for date night... I'll definitely will be back

Unfortunately this place fell very flat. Leading with what we liked: Their mocktail offerings were good, promising a 0.0% ABV which is hard to come across when mocktails are offered. They serve oysters, which adds to that aphrodisiac experience of the oh so 'wow this is a former brothel!'. The bartenders and servers were fast and very sociable with the more sociable customers. The immediate entrance is very tight, and it was uncomfortable navigating the space. We expected there'd be more seating in the back, which there was, but it was limited and not offered to us until we asked for it. We honestly had no clue where it would be and only asked because of how this place was advertised. While it was comfy once we made our way back there, it was reminiscent of a lounge style bar space that almost any bar could replicate with the right room and budget. We didn't feel as though this hit the spot and were let down by this experience. I'm not sure if I can judge the menu of drinks/ foods as expensive, but we left hungry bc we couldn't justify some of the prices. In addition, I've seen a lot of complaints about the volume of the music: it's definitely loud at the front but a lot lower in that back lounge space. It's as loud as any bar's music level would be, but truth be told we were expecting music that matched the vibe of what was advertised and yes, at a lower volume.

My friend and I each order a cocktail, and are catching up. I'm from Brooklyn, however I no longer live here, and this was precious catch-up time with my friend. Then I get interrupted mid-sentence by the old-timer DJ from his low seat in a corner behind the bar. I had bumped the bar with my wrist (bumped my wrist watch as well, not deliberately) and then placed my hand down (granted- more than placed but definitely not slammed), and he decided to warn me that I COULD HAVE made his record skip. It was the Eagles or Santana (far from eclectic, but that's just me). I'm also 99% certain he turned the volume up afterwards, making it even harder to enjoy the company. After that interaction, I struggled to pick it back up with my friend, because I found that distraction very effing rude. When this "4th wall" gets broken down with service, it is hard to then enjoy the space in an uninhibited state. I am all for the Tokyo Vinyl Bar vibe, and I'm also for also giving talent an outlet to share their collection, but this interaction colored my experience, and I closed out after one drink and went elsewhere. I mentioned this to the bartender, and he was kind to offer a buy-back of a rare whiskey, which I did accept. 5 stars for the bartender, but 1 for my experience. I don't like to be harsh or unnecessarily cruel, but this is what it is. I have visited in the past and enjoyed myself. Nonetheless, I certainly won't be coming back.

I've made it a point to visit every vinyl listening bar that I learn of in town, after enjoying the shared experience of someone curating a select vinyl list in intimate spaces in Tokyo. Few have been able to replicate the experience, but Honeycomb Hi Fi Lounge comes close. That the space is narrow with just a few seats along the bar and a few tables mimics the Japanese experience best, where you can almost have it so the whole room is having one conversation together. The music is the focus. The cocktail menu is rather simple, and my Stormbringer drink, with dark rum and ginger beer was not anything to write home about, but $15 is pretty low for cocktails these days so I'll take it. If they introduced new cocktails to the menu with more interesting ingredients I'd be more inclined to return, but the vibes overall are pretty good and the staff really nice.
