It wasn't packed bc of the freezing temperature outside but that didn't stop us from getting a drink. We new it's be less people at the bar bc of the weather. People did start showing up around 9 pm which was when we are leaving. I recommend a shot of Señor Sotol mezcal. Soft, light and warm. We came in for an after dinner drinks spot and it was a very interesting vibe. You will hear cowboy music and hip-hop, and whatever else people choose to play on the jukebox that you can pay and subscribe to online I had a cocktail here with some coworkers and it was chill spot to end the night. read more

From the outside, looks like your classic Chicago hole in the wall bar. Conveniently located across from Thalia Hall and next door to a record shop. The Green Room will be my pre-show tradition from now on. There is great signage behind the bar that clues you in to all the beverage options they have available, my recommendation is 'the please & thank you'. If you're going here on week night or weekend just be aware that an old guy will be in the bar shouting rascist comments. Also he followed us out the door as we're leaving saying "YA YA Or YO YO". My partner went back to talk to whoever the manager was and pretty much said the usual "sorry, he wasn't aware of the things the old guy saying" excuse me you wasn't aware I find that hard to believe when he's literally yelling it over the music. So we came back for trivia give it another try and the old guy was there again and guess what same thing happened. Poor management, crappy bar staff. The lack of awareness in the staff is really bad, and this place is easily waiting for something bad to happen. read more

Very friendly staff, nice happy hour specials and pretty decor. Really nice spot to chill and have a drink. Doesn't seem like there has been much promotion on the location but still nice location. I could see a Bears game here being fun, the hours are evening only as of now though. Came here for a happy hour after work, the bartender Al was really chill, helpful and friendly. It's my friend's local watering hole even though they had a good beer selection. I was told that they had the best old fashioned. It seems like Saturday in the early evenings aren't super busy, we walked in pretty easily around 7ish and there weren't any issues getting in or finding three stools in a prime location. The old fashioned was good, mixed really well and pretty well balanced. The music was a good mix of old school rock and hip hop tunes, but not so loud that we had to shout to be heard. Service was good, I was a little worried after I had some time to scan some of the reviews before I showed up, but everyone from the door guy to the bartender as great, pretty low key and gave us space to catch up. read more

We just stopped in here on a Saturday night around 7 p.m. before our dinner reservation next door at S.K.Y. It was not crowded at all and just had a really chill and welcoming vibe. There was a really great and wide variety of beers, but they had wine and other cocktails too. They also had two TVs at the bar. Solid little bar that just opened up in Pilsen off 18th street (it might have been open for longer and I just didn't notice it till now) Their beers are reasonably priced- $6-8 for craftts, $3-5 for domestics. Cocktails run $8-10. Service is pretty quick, it's never too crowded. Pretty good draft beer list, lots to choose from. Never too loud or crowded the times I've been in. Went there last night with two buddies and the service was awful. We went in for a night cap half an hour before closing. Two minutes after receiving our beers, a barback grabbed them, poured them down the drain, and told us to leave. When we told him that was a very uncool move he proceeded to patronize us, telling us to "go cry to mommy and daddy," and went as far as taking photos of us (still not sure why he felt the need to do that). Prior to this I'd had great experiences at this bar so needless to say, I'm really disappointed in last nights service. read more

The bartender with the beard tonight was so bloody rude, he absolutely had no personable skills and the 2x he did ask us what we wanted he did so with such an attitude, and he'd bring the drinks over set them down and literally walk away, and it felt like we were just a pain in his ass for just walking into the bar and existing. Like I get if you're having a bad day but don't take it out on the patrons. We are there to drink and have a good time not leave with a bad taste in our mouth. At first we thought it was just us but noticed he was rude with other people as well. Impressive array of moderately priced cocktails and a REALLY good happy hour specials. Beer list ranges form PBR/OLD STYLE to really good craft beers. No food but there's a plethora of places you can buy food and drag it in with you. The bar was just getting busy when I left so the lonely looking pics were taken when they opened.
