Make a reservation or you will have to wait a while! They say they're known for the steaks, but…read morethey were not quality. We should've believed previous reviews about steaks. We got bone in ribeye (tough & had lots of gristle) & filet (tough & undercooked). For the price of these steaks you'd think they'd be much better. Also, be prepared to sit for 2 hours from drinks to meal (no appetizers or desserts). On a positive note, The Dylan drink was amazing.

Never have I look at the bill at the end of a meal and thought "This cant be my bill, we enjoyed it…read moresoo much vs this lower price than we expected". I immediately double checked, and it was mine. This is a nice smaller gem of a nice resturant, my drink "The Dylan" was an experience, flaming smoke chips i blew out, they put my glass over the smoke, then poured in the drink. My family was wondering how much that would cost, I didn't care it was good... found out at end it was just $15, if I knew I would have ordered alot more. Pork belly scallops were very good but the 2 scallops seemed like one cut on half but the sauce made up for it, and the pork was great. Lemon sorbet palette cleanser was so good people in my group asked for it for dessert as well Lobster bisque was one of the better ones I have had anywhere. Multiple people ordered filets with different finishing sauces, everyone liked theirs. I ordered the porterhouse and enjoyed every bite. Wish I lived closer, definitely worth the trip

Our server was friendly though there were a bunch of servers who stopped by our table overlooking the course of the night. All were pleasant, though our server asked us if we were there for a special event when we sat and we said no, then at the end of them meal he though it was my husband's birthday, but not in a "here a drink on the house" kind of way, just an awkward comment. I got the bone in pork chop which came on a serving shaved Brussel sprouts. The pork chop was perfectly cooked and very tender. Our server recommended we get a side, so we tried the truffle Mac and cheese, it was fine but not great-it was not all that cheesy though we could taste the truffle. I wouldn't recommend it. My husband's risotto with filet and mushrooms only had the scantest amount of filet and mushrooms though was very flavorful. When it arrived at our table it had sloshed all over the serving dish and the server said she was going to fix it it just went to the servers station (2 feet from us) and then came back a minute later-I'm not sure what exactly that fixed but the presentation certainly was not that of a dish that costs $50! I had the smoked Sazerac for my drink. It was nice and the cherry smoke imparted a great flavor though it's not supposed to be served with an ice cube. Additionally, the ice cube within was not clear or perfectly cubed. For a $22 cocktail, this was a miss in my book. I had the crème brûlée for dessert and they strangely put very wet strawberries on the brûlée. I only got a very small space that I could attempt to crack the brûlée. It tasted delicious, though the strawberries really should have been served on the side. Between courses, a bear walked up the river which was an exciting development. This restaurant is beautiful and perfectly situated on a scenic river.

We've done the tasting multiple times over the years, and it never gets old because the hosts bring so much personality, humor, and energy to the experience. The jokes, stories, and interactions are always a little different, which keeps it fresh and fun. This past weekend, Trey really knocked it out of the park! One thing I really appreciate is that they regularly change the tasting menu, so there are always new flavors to try. The tasting itself is an incredible value at just $5, and the wristbands can be saved and combined for discounts on purchases. I brought two wristbands from a trip over a year ago, combined them with the ones we purchased this visit, and ended up getting a bottle of moonshine basically free, I only paid the tax! They've also added a new option where you can pay an extra $5 to choose three specific flavors you'd like to sample up to two additional times, which is a great addition. We also checked out the speakeasy-style bar tucked behind the store, and it has a fantastic atmosphere and is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a more relaxed place to enjoy a drink. Every staff member we've encountered has been friendly, welcoming, and entertaining. Our personal favorites are the sipping creams as they're absolutely delicious and worth taking home. We picked up their new Churro flavor and love it! If you're visiting Gatlinburg, don't miss Sugarlands. It's one of the best values and most memorable experiences in town.

As for the food, it was honestly pretty underwhelming considering how hyped this place is. The crab dip was okay, nothing memorable. The steak and lobster was disappointing- the lobster had that soft texture that overcooked or not-so-fresh crawfish can have. The baked shrimp wasn't bad, but definitely not something I'd order again. Strawberry shortcake was decent enough. Ironically, the bread basket ended up being my favorite part of the meal-absolutely delicious. The service, however, was genuinely warm and hospitable. It was a bit slow, but the staff was kind, friendly, and personable enough that it made up for it. That was honestly the highlight of the experience. Was I excited to try this place because of all the hype? Absolutely. Would I personally recommend it? Probably not.

Now that I've been, I have to say it tasted authentic to me, at least based on the food my table had. Crab fried rice was delicious. They gave generous portions of meat in all of the meat dishes. The crispy duck was actually crispy. The food was well seasoned and not too salty. I think they actually do make their Thai tea because my tea was in 2 layers when it was brought out (tea at the bottom and milk at the top) and I mixed it myself. Though the restaurant was busy, the servers did their best to attend to you and came back to refill waters. The place was clean. Sufficient parking. Unfortunately, we didn't try the tum yum, which is honestly the bar I judge every Thai restaurant by (I want to taste that galangal and kaffir leaf), next time. Took pictures after we chowed down this time. I do need to warn that their medium spicy level is actually spicy, which I enjoyed, but others may not. I do highly recommend if you are in the area and craving Thai. ----------- Update: went back and tried the Tom Yum. It was good, but was missing the "kick" and depth of sour flavor I prefer. Also would add that the food can get pricey fairly quickly if you get multiple dishes. Chicken satay was delicious, highly recommend. I'd still go back and recommend coming here though.

We love Thai food, and having lived in the Seattle area for a long time, have eaten our fair of excellent Thai food. This was amongst the worst I've had. I was suspicious as soon as we walked in regarding the quality and standards we might experience so we wisely shared one dish-Panang curry with beef. My husband also got a Singha beer. My husband-who will eat what I consider the cheapest of beef and love it- would not eat the beef in this dish. He said it had a strange taste and texture. I agreed that it was unusual and steered clear as well. Be careful, they add 18% gratuity to your bill, then ask for a tip when they give you their device. Even without an additional tip, we walked out of there having spent $38 on a meal we could barely gag down, and one beer. Skip it!
