The best thing this place has going for it is that you don't have a 45 minute wait to be seated. Food is average at best (except the pretzel which was good). None of the 7 dishes our table had were more than mediocre. The fish and chips was pretty terrible. Service was inattentive and when they brought the food out to our table of 8 (table in the open, not a booth btw) the guy stood at one end and had everyone pass the food down to whoever ordered it. This is a nice cozy bar/grill with outdoor seating and some live music. It's located right in the first floor of the Margaritaville Island Hotel. This is super convenient if you're staying at the hotel. Is right next to the island bridge so there are a ton of cars and people coming and going. There was not many people inside the dining area for a Friday night. Our waitress was super friendly and nice. The menu had a nice selection of food. I ordered the Texas Pork Nachos appetizer as my main meal. This consisted of Tortilla Chips, Pulled Pork, Black Beans, Cheddar & Jack Cheeses, Jalapeños, Pico de Gallo, BBQ Sour Cream. This dish was actually very tasty. I think the only thing missing is a bowl of salsa. It had great flavor and nice pulled pork in the dish. I really enjoyed the environment and cute tropical island scenery. I also had the wings which was alittle lackluster and small. The shrimp and chef salad were both tasty and fresh. I would say if you're staying at the hotel, give this place a try if you don't want to leave your hotel and too lazy to walk and grab your car and deal with the island traffic. read more

Visited on a Friday night...great food, bad/slow service. Got seated immediately and it took over 20 minutes for someone to approach our table. We knew they were busy, it's was a Friday night, so we decided to wait. We were ready to order when the server finally approached the table. He was very distracted. We ordered water, drinks from the bar, an appetizer and entrees. Thought we made it clear we wanted chips and the dips for our appetizer. We received our waters, then shortly after our drinks. After another 30 minutes after ordering (and yes when service is this bad, I start watching the time) the hubs stood up looking for our server. He came over and asked if he needed another drink from the bar, the hubs told him yes and we'd like our appetizer before our food and he said whoops! A few minutes later he brought out the appetizer and someone was behind him with our entrees. Ugh! Hubs ordered fish and chips and I ordered the coconut shrimp, both were delicious. We ended up taking our appetizer back up to our room for the next day. (We noticed the servers didn't seem to each have a section, rather it appeared they were alternating when tables were seated so the servers had tables all around the bar and outside.) read more

We are staying with a small group at the Margaritaville RV Resort in Pigeon Forge and decided to try the breakfast buffet, served from 7 am to 11 am in the Fins restaurant across from the front desk in the Lodge. They have a great selection at a reasonable price; $14.95 for adults and $9.95 for kids 5 to 10, under five year olds eat free. They have coffee, cocoa, cranberry and orange juice, soft drinks, bacon, chicken tenders, home fries, thick sliced fried bologna, bacon, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, assorted pancakes and French toast with warm syrup, selection of dry cereal, biscuits and sausage gravy, fresh fruit and yogurt, sliced bread, bagels, a selection of sweet muffins and English muffins. I had a blueberry pancake that had real blueberries in it, and since their scrambled eggs had black pepper in them, I asked if I could have some made fresh without. The chef was happy to oblige me and brought out a huge plate of hot, freshly scrambled, real eggs. The bacon was well done, which I prefer. Hubby had a big slice of french toast, which was delicious, cheesy grits, fried bologna, orange juice, and fresh fruit. He wasn't a fan of the fried bologna, but that's just because he's not a bologna fan to begin with. The service was stellar; both the hostess and the waitress were on top of things and double-checked to make sure our wants and needs were fulfilled. Honestly should've taken the hint when the guy at the front door couldn't be bothered to look up from his phone to seat us. Best part of this whole experience was our server (Luis) absolutely a rockstar. Food was disappointing and steak tasted like pork. What a waste. A beautiful top bar that advertises food on the patio. I just don't understand how people come back? The food comes from the restaurant which is probably a 5-minute walk and trust me the restaurant upstairs is probably the last thing on their mind in that kitchen. The service was shotty, the bartender was getting ready to change shifts so he made sure he got her money before he left and we hadn't even gotten our food yet. The whole Margaritaville complex hotel restaurant Margaritaville and fins all needs a revamp for sure. This place is overrated overpriced and definitely a sore spot in the pigeon forge area. While staying at the Margaritaville Island hotel in Pigeon Forge, Fins Bar And Chill is one of the only options for room service. My alluring travel partner and I was staying in our suite one night and decided to order room service from Fins; unfortunately, the phone line wasn't getting picked up, and we kept getting the message to call back. After a few tries, we decided to go down to the lobby and place the order in person. It also gave us a chance to cash in the free margarita cards we had. Luckily, the bar was still open and the bartender, I think his name was Gabriel, took care of me. We ordered the blacked chicken pasta, mango habanero chicken wings, and grilled ham and cheese with fries. He took care of the free margarita cards as well. It took about 15-20 minutes to get our to go order, so I sat at the bar until then. The bar was pretty chill, and had quite a number of bottles on display. The blacked chicken pasta was actually quite good. It had a nice cajun spice with the cream sauce, and the mushrooms, red peppers, and chicken cubes all had a nice flavor and texture. The penne pasta was also cooked al dente and paired nicely with everything. The grilled ham and cheese with fries was also surprisingly good. My lovely partner enjoyed the sandwich, and she was still able to enjoy it warmed up the next morning. The mango habanero wings were ok. They weren't as good as the other two items we ordered, but were passable. They were served with celery sticks and a cup of ranch dressing. Our food was surprisingly good; much better than what we would expect from a bar. We wouldn't hesitate to order from them again if we ever stay at this hotel again. You just have to walk down to the lobby to order and get your food though. If your room is in the back by the pool like our suite, that walk can be a little journey. It would be nice if they picked up the phone, so hotel guests can actually place their orders. read more

I got vacation steak and it was good. I loved the blend. I asked for a medium rare and it was medium. Well that's OK though it was very good. My brother got the nachos and they looked amazing. He had a bunch of them and it was really good. My mom also got a really good meal. Overall this is great. It has good margaritas according to my mother I would 100% come back great choice by my brother for his birthday the service was also amazing. We sat outside. It was right on the river. It was great. The reason I gave 4 stars is because it had the dirtiest bathroom I have ever seen! During my most recent stay in TN we decided to visit The Island @Pigeon Forge and eat at Fins Bar and Grill to mix some tropical paradise with our mountain vacation. I called ahead to find out that they don't take reservations, it's a first-come first-serve restaurant. We went for dinner around 5 pm and were happy that we were able to be seated, outside right away. The food was excellent, service was great. The only complaint I have is that the women's restroom was disgusting. There was no toilet paper, I had to ask someone to get it. Also, the garbage cans were overflowing and there was paper towels / toilet paper on the floor in each stall and out near the sink. read more

This was our first time to The Island and we were looking for an easy lunch spot and we found it! As soon as you cross the bridge from the parking lot, Fins will be on your right. You can see the outdoor seating, in fact. Fins is located in the Margaritaville Island Hotel so you either meet a greeter outside or walk in the hotel and hang a right and you're there! Side note, restrooms are very close and located in the hotel lobby. We came on a Monday afternoon. Plenty of seating available so we seated ourselves and we're quickly greeted by our server. As it became busier a greeter began to seat guests. We ordered fish tacos and the kids ate cheeseburgers. Everything was very tasty. Portions sizes were good. Like I said, we were looking for an easy lunch spot and this was definitely what we were looking for. The indoor space is open and airy with all the windows and high ceilings. The bar area is nice and open, too. It was a chilly day so no one was sitting outside but it looks like a great place to be when the weather is nice. read more

I am not 100% certain but do not believe they were made fresh in house rather they were premade at some large battered fish factory. Friend got the chicken tenders. Those surely came in frozen. Anyway.. it's was eatable and somewhat decent but I was expecting more. The margaritas were nice. Bartender did a satisfactory job serving us. We got fed. Had a drink. Our experience at this restaurant was less than stellar. We were told the wait was an hour, and when we checked after an hour and 10, we were told "we messaged you". They did not, and we were sitting right next to the hostess. We had 9 people in our party and split the check two ways. When my check arrive for four entrees and three drinks, the total was $220. $95 of that was for gratuity! The other party who had five entrees had $52 gratuity, AND it came with a free fly in the food! When we brought the inflated gratuity to the attention of the server, she said "oh, let me fix that". We all agreed that it was intentional and they were hoping we didn't notice. This experience will ensure that I don't EVER go to another Margaritaville restaurant or resort. read more

Extremely poor experience here. Went here after a trip through the mountains we were extremely hungry I thought anything would be good at that point. Unfortunately my meal and my boyfriend's meal at fins up was completely inedible and just super super poor quality for the price. It doesn't even matter that the food was bad the service was very poor as well. Spent $100 for a burger, shrimp and an app. The chips ans dip app is very clearly not fresh dips like the menu advertises. I will never ever be back and recommend you stay away as well. read more

We are staying on the RV side of camp margaritaville. this is our second time here. In the fall the "bar" food was as expected I do not remember it being bad. But let me tell u about our current experience. We had lunch fish tacos. Chef salad .... No complaints. Ended Up hitting the dining room for dinner. Well we ordered fried green tomatoes as an app(frozen /cold) when they came to table. Burnt to shit after our dinners arrived, when we Got our dinner. Jerk chicken. Caesar salad, chicken pasta, and Buffalo wings. Jerk chicken that my husband can eat anything hot made him ill. Caesar had cold medium steak on top ( I complained) so it was brought back to me microwaved well done back on a salad..... pasta was inedible it was so spicy hot, wings my 10 year old didn't complain but my husband said so much fat they weren't edible my son only took a couple bites on each because they weren't edible just fat and hard. And super hot as well: we recommend basic food only. Chips and dip, chef salad, anything that didn't involve a cook. Wait staff was wonderful.
