About five minutes in, a large German shepherd came barreling through the room, barking loudly and running around my mother-in-law. After several shouted attempts to control the dog, it was finally put outside. No warning, no apology. If someone has allergies, anxiety, or trauma involving animals, too bad, apparently. My session didn't improve. It began with a vague breathing exercise and a "wish," led by the daughter, whose name I was never given. I was promised a full reading that included aura, chakra, tarot, palm, and past/present/future life insights. Instead, after a brief palm and tarot reading, I was told I've had a "dark portal" open for most of my life. Conveniently, this terrifying revelation was immediately followed by "but don't worry, I can help you" and a hard pitch for a $900 two-week spiritual program. When I hesitated, the fear-based language intensified. When I declined, I was suddenly done. No aura reading. No chakra assessment. No life insights. That is reckless, manipulative, and frankly disturbing. After leaving, we attempted to address our concerns directly and respectfully via text.
