My struggle to find a good movie theater in the North Dallas area continues on. The theaters are clean and the screens look great. But the employees here are horrific. They never seem like they want to be there, which I get, but they wont talk to you. They'll actively roll their eyes, they wont talk to you and they act like directing you to your theater is just the ultimate burden of their day. They also have a very limited movie selection. It's basically the biggest current hits or you have to go to what will be a smaller movie on opening weekend or you're not going to see what you want to see. I'll still come here since it's the closest theater to me that's not a dine in theater, but it will be a reluctant visit. read more

While in town, had time to catch a movie. Heard so many good things about Sinners. The film was good, the cinematography was impressive and I will be digesting the content of this film a long time. The theatre itself was alright. The bathroom was not really attended too, I think I'm used to bathroom doors that have the foot pull at the bottom, it's more hygienic. The DBOX movie chairs are so amazing ! They actually moved the whole movie along with every scene. Even scared my boyfriend several times the margarita on the rocks was pretty good whatever brand that was and their cheese sticks were pretty good! ALSO THE SEATS WERE HEATED!! Great theater, comfy seat, good crowd, but most of the staff were absolutely unwelcoming and unfriendly. Came here for the rerelease of The Mummy (1999) and we were absolutely excited to try out a Cinemark theater in the DFW for the first time. The surrounding area is lovely, the exterior nice, and the main lobby impressive. Went to order popcorn and a drink, with the servers behind the counter providing good service. Once we went to checkout, the guy at the terminal literally didn't speak a word to us. He rang up our items, I paid him, as he continued to sigh and behaved as though he didn't want to be there. When I asked him for a receipt, he let out a bigger sigh, printed my receipt and handed it to me. Any social contact or eye contact was minimal. Went to get scan our tickets, and the guy at the podium was just as bad. He just didn't seem to want to be there either. Scanned our tickets and simply avoided answering my questions when I asked him about the theater (do you have 4DX? What is Extreme Digital? etc.). I learned nothing about the theater, and we began to wonder why the service was this unwelcoming in such a nice theater. Which was a bummer since it was my wife's first time seeing The Mummy in theaters, and we specifically chose this theater for it. After we entered the theater, things got a lot better. Amazingly comfortable seats, audience was well-mannered, seating area was clean, and sound/picture quality great! Exit the theater and service workers had switched over and were a little better. But we ended going back to the food servers for our questions, since they provided caring service to our questions. If you don't mind rough service in a great theater, highly recommend checking it out. I still don't know what they offer at this theater. If I think about coming back, I'll have to look it up and check it out. As I really wanted to enjoy this visit. If you come here, I recommend getting matinee tickets. As it makes the outing very affordable. read more

We were excited to grab drinks and dinner at this movie theater. The theater was pretty empty on a Thursday, only two other people in our movie. They took both of their orders but not ours. We planned our day around watching the movie and getting food and drinks, so we just left. Felt pretty bad about being ignored, and since we were hungry, we left without watching the movie. Felt bad to waste money on the tickets, but really didn't feel comfortable staying given we were just ignored. Also, they played a LOT of ads. Probably to give time to take orders. We had work in the morning and it all just felt like a waste of time so we left. read more

We were at my Son's choir concert tonight. We wanted to see a horror movie, so we found this theatre was the closet to where we were. It's in a huge center across the driveway from Medical City Frisco. The drawback is their parking. There aren't any parking spaces in front of or close to the entrance to the theatre. The handicap parking, well the parking lot is at the back of the property, behind the theatre. The bonus is, when you leave, you walk right out to your car, via the exit only doors. However, upon arrival, once you park, you have to walk around to the front of the building. The theatre is well taken care of. Everything is very clean and orderly,from the lobby to the inside of the theatre, even the bathroom was immaculate. "Thanksgiving" was just the right amount of scary. Karla screamed loudly 3 times, lol! So, if we ever have an occasion to be in Frisco and want to watch a movie, we'll definitely be back! read more

Well we went to watch elementals and it was such a cute movie. I ordered the chicken tenders, or we'll I picked them up off of a heating tray, and they were terrible. Dry, burnt and had just been sitting there too long. My kiddo had the pizza which she said was good so that's a plus. The alcohol is criminally overpriced. They sell a half bottle of the LaMarca Prosecco for $23. A full bottle at the store is only $13.00. I refuse to contribute to that price gouging so stuck with the diet soda which also didn't taste right. Stick with the bottled drinks and packaged candy if you go here folks and don't expect kind employees. Seats however were quite decent as they lean back farther than most reclining chairs and are more comfortable. read more

Expensive - but so is everything up in Frisco. You're far away from all the hullabaloo so it's a very relaxing crowd and not the kind of area where people are yelling during movies or imposing Security checks on the way in or anything like that. Then the workers decided they weren't comfortable with us even buying anything at the concession stand All I wanted was to buy a bucket of popcorn but these guys decided that it was just to much. Insanely rude and massive uncomplacent staff. You'd think walking into a movie theater and seeing 10-15 members of staff there would be multiple open registers for all sorts of sales. But no you are greeted after waiting behind 5 people. Then buy you're tickets then wait in the soda/popcorn line, then you're off to the 2 ticket checkers. ALL while each of those people have 2-3 different buddies talking up a storm (that is entirely not professional and not on topic with their jobs and some openly cursing and vulgarly speaking), and when you are confused by all this waiting in lines of 4-5 people everywhere you walk, you mention how you are walking past other point of sale (pos) machines to meet with a singular individual (too a group of 4 people and one having a "leader" sticker) They say "yeah we'll these are for our alcohol sales." Next to their popcorn machine. And either way. I do believe it's not the point of sale that gives ANYONE ANYWHERE the ability to "sell" alcohol it's just having a tabc (the license to legally sell it in Texas). Anyone with any for of retail and service experience can see how every part of their system is flawed here. People are standing around on a corporate clock not even putting out their minimum wage, they are flatly lying to customers and it's flabbergasting. The movie theaters also smell of stomach bile from children throwing up and improper cleaning or reports which can't be safe or healthy. It's CRAZY how many different faces of staff I saw and the fact all of the people traffic coming in not being helped at all. All bathrooms were disgusting and the photo my so took of the females just show how disrepaired and disrespectedly visible staff upkeep was. One of the worst experiences I've ever put up with and I really hope to find some way of contact and getting some sort of reparations, nothing was up to par. Even food safe wise this place should be shut down. read more

A smaller version to Stonebriar AMC, but it is clean and has the same things you would typically find in a larger AMC. Was just a tad disappointed that the theatre ddnt have recliner seats and the room was so small. read more

This place was great. Nothing to complain about. Getting tickets were easy; we got ID'd for a rated R movie but nothing to be concerned about because they're just doing their job! They informed us that only guardians and parents can see rated R movies if they have their kiddos in tow - good to know for future reference! Concession area is small and was clean. Obviously expect movie theater prices - so about $7 for a medium popcorn. But honestly if they give you a nicely packed medium, it's about the same as their large. The only thing is you're paying the extra $1 for the large if you wanted that free refill. Parking lot is huge! Plenty of space and very well lit. read more

I like being able to buy tickets in advance and even selecting my seat. So far I've had no issues. I don't generally do concessions at movies, but they have an "assembly line" type of set up here...you walk through and get what you want, and the cashier is at the end near the ticket-taker. Parking is on either side of the building, and so far no space issues. read more

If you like being crammed into seats from the 1980s, you might like this place. If you like REALLY SMALL public restrooms, with lines that wrap around and down the hall, you might like this theater. If you like an abysmally small, and very expensive, selection of snacks and drinks, you might like this place. If you have never been to a theater in your life and have zero expectations of comfort, you might like this place. The seats are incredibly small and cramped. The legroom is non-existent. Think, Flying on American Airllines, in the back, in an middle seat, for three hours. With the selection of great, modern theaters in the area, I can not think of a single reason to come here ever again. They should shut it down and remodel it to the standard of the Cinemark at DNT & Park. Better yet, make it a dine-in theater. read more

Wanted to see a movie tonight with my younger brother (15 y/o) and friend(21 y/o). When we bought the tickets, they questioned how old my friend is. He said 21. They said they needed to see ID. My friend has a full on beard and is clearly over 17. That's not the issue tho. When we go up to the ticket stand, the old man looks at my ticket says "ID". I hand him my ID. But, when my brother gives him his ticket, he asks if he is 17. My brother says no. The old man says he's not allowed to see the movie. I told him I'm 21, and his legal guardian. He says no and that he won't allow us in. My problem is that they sold us a ticket knowing my brother wasn't 17, and then denied us entrance even tho we met the requirements and purchased the ticket. My brother should have been granted access because of my age and legal guardian status. Employees were rude and didn't act like they cared. Take your money elsewhere, I reccomend Flix Brewhouse, AMC Stonebriar, or Cinemark West Plano. Any place is better than here. read more

Love this movie theater because of its location. You can purchase tickets on line in advance, at the kiosk outside, or inside with a representative. Good seating depending on where you are, some are not comfortable and needs to be updated, great concession stand. It can be crowded during movie releases but that to be expected. No problem finding parking if you are not picky and wouldn't mind walking. Gave 4 star because there was a roach in the theater and informed the people who worked there. read more

With the kids wanting to see Toy Story 4, we looked for showtimes that would be permissive of making a 6PM dinner reservation in Prosper afterwards. With that, we selected a 350 showing at Frisco Square. With Cinemark being based in the area, one would be think that the amenities would be nice. Unfortunately, one of the most important features...seating, was a bit of a let down. The chairs reminded be of a eat-in theater in Lewisville. Thankfully, the sound was pretty decent for a non-IMAX setup. On the plus side is a quite large concession area that is set up like a small shop, where you select items and take them to the cashier. Parking can be an issue with all of the shops around, but thankfully, we found a spot fairly quickly. read more

I thought I'd try out this Cinemark theatre since it was nearby after dinner...but wow...what a disappointment :( I'm glad I bought the tickets with my Cinemark app and reserved my seats because as soon as you enter the building you're pretty much standing at the end of a long and crowded refreshment concession line - (the only one by the way), so purchasing tickets at the counter would have been an additional hassle. But I managed, picked up my goodies and headed to the cashier (there were 2), and got out my Cinemark Connections app so I could save some moolah but their dang scanner was broken. The cashier had to manually enter the coupon barcodes, along with my email, so I got to hold up the line a little longer sorry moviegoers Walking to the theatre I noticed powder from the popcorn seasoning I purchased was on my hand. The container was previously open and the protective seal was missing! So I had to go back through the busy concession stand and exchange it for a new one. Then locating our 'reserved seats', was equally disappointing. The theatre was sticky and still dirty from the previous showing, the seats were small and packed close together, and it was uncomfortably warm. The price of 'reserved' seats in this theater, the lack of upkeep, and the way it's designed just doesn't add up.$$ And yes- the ladies room was a mess as well. At best it's more like a dollar cinema. Trust me- only 10 more minutes up the DNT to Cinemark West Plano- Game Changer. read more

A smaller, but very clean and well run movie theater. The seats are all new and comfortable and the theaters are all clean. The concessions are decently priced (definitely cheaper than AMC Stonebriar) and they have a good selection. Screens aren't huge, but a decent size, so if you're in the Frisco area, this is a good place to catch a movie. read more

If it wasn't for the price of ticket I would have sworn I was at a dollar theater. When I think of Cinemark I think of high quality like the Cinemark's in Plano. This theater is way too small. They have an XD Theater however its poorly maintained. The seats we sat on had their cheap leather all cracked. The seats are not very comfortable. They only have one concession stand line and it gets very crowded fast because of the small space. In short this place is too small and not very comfortable given the top-tier ticket prices. Do yourself a favor and go to Cinemark in West Plano or Cinemark Legacy. read more
