Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CNK), a leading motion picture exhibitor, opened a 12-screen, all-digital movie theatre featuring the new Cinemark NextGen cinema design concept in Frisco, TX on December 17, 2010. The Cinemark Frisco Square theatre located at 5655 Frisco Square Blvd. will house the newest technology, cutting-edge amenities and customer-preferred options all under one roof. All twelve stadium-seated auditoriums in the Cinemark Frisco Square complex will offer a state-of-the-art viewing environment with wall-to-wall screens, 100% digital projection and enhanced sound systems equipped with higher quality speakers and 7.1 capable digital surround sound. Additionally, the Cinemark Frisco Square complex will contain an extremely popular Cinemark XD Extreme Digital Cinema auditorium. Finally, the lobby will be designed around one of Cinemark's innovative self-serve concession stands offering freshly-popped popcorn, Coca-Cola fountain beverages and favorite candy brands. The new Cinemark XD Extreme Digital Cinema auditorium is the third in the Dallas area. The XD auditorium is the largest in the theatre complex and offers a complete entertainment environment featuring a wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor screen, plush seating and a custom JBL sound system with higher end components and 7.1 capable digital surround sound. The digital images will be delivered by a Doremi server and a Barco DLP digital projector. The XD auditorium will exhibit the newest movies every week, including 2D and Real D-3D pictures. If you're ever in the mood for an amazing experience, this Cinemark location should be top on your list . The DBOX movie chairs are so amazing ! They actually moved the whole movie along with every scene. Even scared my boyfriend several times the margarita on the rocks was pretty good whatever brand that was and their cheese sticks were pretty good! ALSO THE SEATS WERE HEATED!! It was like laying on a heating pad while being on a roller coaster watching a movie ! Oh and we saw Twister if anyone was wondering! Pretty good!

Great theater, comfy seat, good crowd, but most of the staff were absolutely unwelcoming and unfriendly. Came here for the rerelease of The Mummy (1999) and we were absolutely excited to try out a Cinemark theater in the DFW for the first time. The surrounding area is lovely, the exterior nice, and the main lobby impressive. Went to order popcorn and a drink, with the servers behind the counter providing good service. Once we went to checkout, the guy at the terminal literally didn't speak a word to us. He rang up our items, I paid him, as he continued to sigh and behaved as though he didn't want to be there. When I asked him for a receipt, he let out a bigger sigh, printed my receipt and handed it to me. Any social contact or eye contact was minimal. Went to get scan our tickets, and the guy at the podium was just as bad. He just didn't seem to want to be there either. Scanned our tickets and simply avoided answering my questions when I asked him about the theater (do you have 4DX? What is Extreme Digital? etc.). I learned nothing about the theater, and we began to wonder why the service was this unwelcoming in such a nice theater. Which was a bummer since it was my wife's first time seeing The Mummy in theaters, and we specifically chose this theater for it. After we entered the theater, things got a lot better. Amazingly comfortable seats, audience was well-mannered, seating area was clean, and sound/picture quality great! Exit the theater and service workers had switched over and were a little better. But we ended going back to the food servers for our questions, since they provided caring service to our questions. If you don't mind rough service in a great theater, highly recommend checking it out. I still don't know what they offer at this theater. If I think about coming back, I'll have to look it up and check it out. As I really wanted to enjoy this visit. If you come here, I recommend getting matinee tickets. As it makes the outing very affordable.

10/21/22- 1220 Friday Reposting, my last post didn't save :-( . Place is very clean both inside and outside. Great customer service. I watched "Barbarian" on September 2022. Movie was suspenseful. Justin Long played his character so well.

    A toilet full of shit

Very disappointing.. Visited this establishment tonight to see the new spider-verse movie with my partner. I've been to plenty of cinemark's, and this one is by far the worst one I've been into. You'd think it be nice because of where it's located. Rude staff, and shitty bathrooms, how do you have 15 employees standing around yet the toilets are full of shit....?

Very nice place and great experience here. We watched First Slam Dunk movie and love this cinemark. Highly recommended.

I'm a sinner. I have a mark to prove it. It's a sinner-mark. Pretty awesome shiny brand new movie theater with Stadium-size spots for watching all the new movies. Expensive - but so is everything up in Frisco. You're far away from all the hullabaloo so it's a very relaxing crowd and not the kind of area where people are yelling during movies or imposing Security checks on the way in or anything like that. A nice relaxing family place to watch the movies if you have the money to cover how expensive the tickets are.

Movie theatre was clean and the chairs are very nice. I like that it has a concession area to see everything and that was also clean.

Their pricing is competitive with all other surrounding theaters. Service is usually great, the food is surprisingly solid for a theater, and the theaters themselves are generally clean. The restrooms, however, always seem like they just survived the final battle scene of an action movie. This is still our go-to place. I love the rewards app, although I do feel like I should earn free popcorn slightly faster considering how much I've personally contributed to their economy. Best part: the throwback movie runs from the 70s-90s. There's something magical about watching your kids experience older movies on the big screen while enjoying a locally brewed beer.

The sound and video quality was ok, there are better setups out there but this was acceptable for this type of theater. I also wish their beer selection was a little more craft oriented and had more local varieties. 18% Gratuity is built in to the check automatically so keep that in mind when you get your bill. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, there are comfortable reclining seats with a table and call button for ordering. We had a small issue with not receiving our popcorn at first but it was quickly resolved. The popcorn was bottomless and came in a metal bowl which i found nice. They also brought us several smaller bowls for our group to share. This is a great theater with great staff, a couple process improvements and they could be top notch!

So whenever I want to see some limited-release international films, this is the place I go. This location actually has more auditoriums than the north park one, so more chances to see your movie. However, it's less maintained. Not that north park location has amazing amenities, but I was expecting the paper towel dispensers in the restrooms to work. That being said, this location offers a better (than north park) movie viewing experience with their recliner seats and dine-in option. And as mentioned before, there are certain movies that will only screen in the suburbs. Overall, it's a pretty good theater attached to a mall (so you can walk off those popcorns and icee after). Side note: I never saw a movie in premium format (IMAX, Dolby), so I can't say for sure. I'd still recommend north park for premium formats.

We were told it had been fine all day but they were trying to fix the problem. They never fixed the issue nor were we offered any compensation for their error.
