This is absolutely our favorite theater! Love the XD screens, popcorn is always fresh. One of the employees was super cool and went to the back to get a metal/tin Grogu popcorn bucket for me! Not a fan of the fountain drinks...seems like a lot of carbonation, but they have bottled sodas, so no worries! Love the arcade on the way out! Even have a Photo Booth and lots of photo opportunities throughout the theatre. Also, download the app. Lots of cool rewards there!

This review is of the movies on Tuesday at Cinemark. Tuesday the movies are $6. In this economy that is a great deal. I went to the 6pm show after work. It wasn't too crowded and really enjoyed myself. I look forward to coming to another movie on Tuesday for the $6 special.

I think this is one of the best movie theaters in the area and I'm so pleased they survived the pandemic era. The seats are the best here since they are heated AND they recline. They have a little mini arcade here if you come early so you can kill time. Plus there's a nice bar here if you want to lounge a bit. It is self serve until you check out BUT if you have the app, you can have it ready for pickup or even delivered to your seat. It is cheaper to buy the tickets in person but there's a risk of not being able to get the seats you want. Overall my favorite place to go for movie time. It's bright, clean, and just a good get away from dreary reality.

Personally I think it's one of the best theaters in Plano. Love the recliners the screens. They have a bar if you want to eat and drink. Overall, great movie theater.

This is my favorite movie theater in the area! There is a cinemark 8 minutes closer to me but i drive out of my way to go to this one. It's very spacious and well maintained. There's an arcade, bar, and large concession area. The staff are always very sweet. I've seen dozens of movies here and only once did I have an issue during a screen X movie where the side screens never came on. I notified the lady at customer service after the movie and was issued a full refund! Top tier theater and service.

The movie was so long it had an intermission which allowed me to score a delicious pizza

It's been awhile since visiting my old friend Cinemark West Plano. Back in the 1990s when first constructed, this theater was billed as the largest Mega- Plex in the country. As time passed and more theaters closer to home were built,I drifted away from this one. Tonight I saw a 31/2 hour movie. The Brutalist. True Cinema. The theater and screen were huge, heated seats and the biggest surprise of all, self serve snack bar! The crazy counter intuitive part was, I liked it. Plus, check this out,I got a pizza and it was delicious. This experience of a remodeled and reimagined older theater works so well,I've decided to put it back in rotation. Go!

Came in for a private screening event! The staff were so friendly showing me where to go. The food court is awesome, I LOVE the Pizza Hut pizza and icees. Everything was super clean which is nice. The theaters are big and spacious, and they have the cool seats which recline and have a tray for food and they're heated!! So much fun, great way to spend the summer!

This is my go to movie theatre! I think the thing that floors me and my husband is that the parking lot is always full however we don't believe that many movies are being released however that does not take away from this movie theater. From the bar and restaurant outside of the theaters to the recliner chairs and little tables connected to the chairs as well as cleanliness as a new theater vibe. I don't know maybe have something to do that is next-door to the corporate office whatever the case maybe I would rather come here than go anywhere else. I just love that I can finally order a salad while watching a movie rather than just fried food and pizza options. The staff is nice and friendly and they clean constantly which I appreciate. And yes I love the point program, the employees remind me to use it all the time lol

Ask the Community - Cinemark West Plano XD and ScreenX

Can i bring in my own snacks/food?

I'd call and check current prices / menu - I went a couple weeks ago and food ( except coffee ) was cheaper than 2019 prices

Can you take the alcohol into the theater?

If you buy it at the Cinema

Is this a dinner and a movie theatre?

Nope. They have a fully stocked bar and restaurant in there but it's not a watch and eat place.

If you buy food from the new restaurant menu, can you eat it in the theater?

You can - but there are no tables. You'd have to hold it in your lap. They package it up in a takeout container for you if you want to take it into the auditorium.

Unfortunately, this event was the complete opposite. I booked a private premiere screening of The Devil Wears Prada, and the Event Sales Manager made multiple promises that the theater ultimately could not deliver. We were told we'd have early access for setup, access to Studio 1 with space for a private cocktail hour, and several other accommodations that simply did not happen. The day of the event, my team and I were left scrambling trying to adjust in real time while hosting guests. To make matters worse, every single filet mignon steak served was overcooked. For a premium theater experience with premium pricing, that's unacceptable. But the most alarming part came after the event. I left with a confirmed zero balance. Then, TWO DAYS LATER, I was hit with an unexpected charge of nearly $2,000 on my Amex. When I questioned it, I was told the Event Sales Manager's "last day was tomorrow" and that I should direct any questions to a local representative. No accountability. No transparency. Just chaos. This was supposed to be a polished, memorable premiere experience. Instead, it was stressful, disorganized, and financially questionable. Never again.

The price points for the service and experience are aligned with the expectation; however, the restroom situation was atrocious. This level of service and expectation should extend beyond the theatre itself.

The very young employees working to let people in didn't even scan our tickets, which was not an issue, but it could prove to be a problem for the theater if they don't have someone watching this a bit more closely. The preview/ ads before the movie were a full 30 minutes, which I found a bit excessive. I know all theaters have quite a few previews and wonder how much this varies. Reclining seats were comfortable, volume was appropriate, and temperature was nice without being arctic, as some theaters could be. What I didn't love was a $2 booking fee for buying your ticket online (per ticket) with a push to join a Cinemark monthly membership club to waive this fee. Seeing a movie in theaters is already quite expensive these days, so I didn't love the additional 17% fee on matinee ticket just for it to be purchased online. At the end of the day it's of course worth it to not be in the front row or far edge, but just tricky how most everything these days incurs hidden fees that can add up when trying to do family / group activities. Overall, the quality of this theater is still strong with some minor qualms likely characteristic of the industry.

Their pricing is competitive with all other surrounding theaters. Service is usually great, the food is surprisingly solid for a theater, and the theaters themselves are generally clean. I love the rewards app, although I do feel like I should earn free popcorn slightly faster considering how much I've personally contributed to their economy. Best part: the throwback movie runs from the 70s-90s. There's something magical about watching your kids experience older movies on the big screen while enjoying a locally brewed beer.

The sound and video quality was ok, there are better setups out there but this was acceptable for this type of theater. I also wish their beer selection was a little more craft oriented and had more local varieties. 18% Gratuity is built in to the check automatically so keep that in mind when you get your bill. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, there are comfortable reclining seats with a table and call button for ordering. We had a small issue with not receiving our popcorn at first but it was quickly resolved. The popcorn was bottomless and came in a metal bowl which i found nice. We recently saw Project Hail Mary here on a Tuesday night. My husband bought the tickets in advance on Fandango so he could reserve our seats. He said it was surprisingly cheap, and my husband NEVER says that! LOL! The strip mall has a lot of parking, so you are bound to find something close. Check-in is just inside the door. The different screening rooms wrap around the hall. The aisles are wide so that you and a server can get through without bumping into the recliner chairs. The chairs are decently comfortable, but the middle seats get used a bit more than others, so you might notice that they aren't as supportive nowadays. There is a swing table with a QR code to access the menu. WiFi is free. ADH is really strict about phone use during movies and with unnecessary talking. They will not hesitate to boot you, but they have softened their stance a bit now that the menus are accessible by phone. I ordered everything online. The process was super easy to add drinks and food. I didn't like having to pull out my credit card and try to enter that in the dark. I really wish they had offered payments through PayPal and Apple Pay. We had margaritas, bottomless popcorn, and a pizza, but NO NAPKINS! My popcorn was given to the guy next to me, but he was nice and said, "This must be yours.". I handed it to my husband. The servers cane and went several times bringing food and drinks to various people. The movie started and still no pizza. I was not happy about this. We got there early so I wouldn't have to eat in the dark. It finally arrived, but I was not impressed. I ordered the Margherita. It was soggy, so the crust didn't hold the ingredients. I had to fold each slice NY style to prevent myself from wearing it. The mozzarella rounds on top were not really melted. They were still thick circle slices. I would not order this again. The popcorn was good, but I wasn't sure how to get seconds for our bottomless order. The QR code did have something that said seconds, but I didn't dare turn on my phone to put in a request during the film for fear of being booted. Maybe next time I will just get a standard popcorn. It's cheaper. Film was loud! Too loud for my hubby. He had his fingers in his ears the entire time. I was okay with it, but you definitely wouldn't want to make a habit of coming to see films here and risk your hearing longterm. ADH has some fun old films that they show each month. These special events often include props related to the film. It looks like fun. We will have to check it out eventually. We usually come here for new screenings that aren't available on streaming yet. They also have a monthly membership that allows you to see multiple films each month without the hassle of paying each time. That's a great idea for the movie aficionado or someone who likes to go out regularly. I do love the movie experience and try to support this local film house whenever I get a chance.

The woman up front who sold us our tickets was especially helpful and answered questions we didn't know we had. She showed us her screen so we could select our seats. Only 2 others tickets had been purchased. That's it! There were only four of us in our screening room. We aimed for the seats in the center. It was the best viewing. The downside is that these seats do NOT recline. They look like recliners, but apparently only the front two rows have reclining seats. That was unfortunate. The seats are also a pleather-like material, so if you wear shorts or a short skirt, your skin might stick to it. It was a little warmer than I expected in the theater, but I'm guessing they don't bother having the temperature gauge low anymore because they don't get a lot of bodies in seats heating up the place. We were given a menu by the woman at front, but there was also a QR code on the tray table at our seat. There is a big red button on the front of the seat for calling the server. Our Margherita pizza and vanilla milkshake were brought out separately. The shake was delivered long after we had eaten our pizza. Even though we had arrived well before the movie started and ordered right away, the food didn't come out until right as the movie was starting. I was actually hoping the food would be delivered sooner so we could eat before it got dark. Per usual, I ended up with food spilling on my dress. Plus, I would have liked to drank my shake while splitting the pizza with my husband. He ordered a diet Pepsi - both a big NO in my book. Overall it was a decent experience. We usually go to the SMG in our neighborhood, but this one in Plano had a start time that worked better with our schedule, so we made the drive here. It was functional but certainly one of the smallest rooms I have experienced in Dallas. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room was clean and the carpet was not stained. The shower had a very strong water flow and was a sufficient size for one person. Overall, it is a very nice hotel. There is lounge and restaurant. The pool was supposed to be heated but in May the water was cold. The pool area has a small bar but beer options are quite limited. The best thing about the hotel is its excellent location. You are literally steps from Legacy West with the row of seemingly endless eating and shopping options. Having parked in the hotel lot, there was no need to drive and fight for scarce parking along the street. The reason for 4 stars is that at night we could hear loud music. The main reasons for the three star rating are the check in process and my room. It took an hour and a half for me to get my keys because someone either hadn't booked my room or booked it incorrectly. After a long day of travel, I wanted to rest, freshen up, and eat, but I had no such luck. It really put a damper on my day. Secondly, once I got to the room, I had other issues. It smelled incredibly musty and I knew it was because the carpets needed cleaning. Some parts of the floor felt stiffer than others, indicating that something was spilled on them. I was so hungry and was actually willing to pay for minibar snacks, but there weren't any (no drinks either except for water). I was also hoping for a more generous bathroom setup as well (makeup wipes, etc.). The water pressure in the shower was a bit too low as well. On the plus side, this hotel is within walking distance of many great restaurants and shopping. This experience wasn't the best, but they are typically a solid choice.
