Good food. Love the millionaire pie. They stopped delivery to our old house so it's pick up. Sandwiches are good.

We ordered a Reuben and our hostess was gracious enough (without our asking!) to have it cut in half and served in separate baskets with 2 variety of pickles for each. We enjoyed browsing the store seeing some interesting food & imported beverage items and sampling their homemade pimento cheeses. Be sure to check out their website & menu! We will stop again when we are in the Dalton area and come prepared with our cooler. We are already thinking this will make a great stop to pack a picnic when heading to Chattanooga for the Riverfront Nights this summer.

The math doesn't work, but neither does this place, and somehow that's exactly why it does. I got the Natural sandwich and even as I'm writing this review, I wish it was still in my mouth. It was outstanding. The kind of sandwich that makes you wonder if you've been wasting your life eating lesser sandwiches. They also had old-timey bottled sodas that were fantastic, plus a bunch of random chip brands I'd never heard of but was immediately willing to trust. No regrets there. I grabbed a cookie that looked soft, gooey, and delicious. It nailed the delicious part but missed on the soft part. If you're a crunchy cookie person, you're in luck. If you're like me and prefer your cookies to have the structural integrity of a wet sponge, you may be disappointed. The tables were lined with comic books, which is exactly how I would decorate my house if my wife weren't constantly protecting me from myself. The staff was friendly, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Garner's is quirky, unique, and packed with personality. Highly recommend if you're anywhere nearby.

Naming your sandwich shop Tasty Heaven Sandwich Shop "Heaven" is a bold strategy. That's not…read morebranding... that's a performance guarantee. I needed something quick, light, and close to our company office in Chattanooga. The ratings were strong, the reviews looked promising, and frankly when you call yourself Heaven, expectations go up fast. I'm not asking for miracles... but a great sandwich would be a nice start. First clue something was... developing... was the sign. Still a banner out front. Which usually means one of two things: 1. Brand new and figuring things out. 2. Someone lost a bet with a printing company. Inside felt like a sandwich shop that's been around for decades. Worn floors, chalkboards tossed up on the wall like they lost a game of darts, and the menu scribbled across them in chalk. Not charming-chaotic. More like... chaotic-chaotic. No problem. I'm here for the sandwich. I ordered the #1, because when a place names a sandwich after itself, that's usually the mic drop item. The "Heaven Classic." If you're going to plant your flag, plant it on the best hill. It came out fast. Very fast. Suspiciously fast. I brought it back to the office, opened it up, took a bite... and immediately felt like I'd been transported to the deli aisle of a gas station. "If this sandwich were any more average, it would come with an Oscar Mayer jingle." The bread was actually pretty good. Nice texture, solid foundation. But the filling? It felt like someone stopped at a convenience store, grabbed a pack of cold cuts, and said, "Yep... this'll do." Now here's where the plot twist comes in. Afterward I started digging through the reviews because the disconnect was wild. People were raving about this place. Five stars everywhere. I'm thinking, "Did I walk into the wrong universe?" Turns out... most of those reviews are for Steamboat. Looks like the place changed names sometime late last year. Same location, new name, very different experience. So the glowing reputation may belong to a former tenant. Which leads to my final thought... If this is Heaven, I'd hate to see the alternative. I'm landing at three stars, mostly because I'm feeling generous today and the bread deserved better than the situation it was put in. Would I go back? Probably not. Chattanooga has way too many great sandwich spots to gamble on purgatory again.

Don't be put off by the simple décor or the fact that it's attached to a gas station. This place is where you want to pull in for breakfast or lunch. They use Boar's Head meats. Speaking of prices; show me anywhere else you can go get a great big breakfast sandwich or made to order deli sandwich anywhere near here for the great prices they charge. You can't. Great food AND a great price. My wife had a turkey on sourdough and said it too passed the yummy deli sandwich test. The staff was friendly, tables were clean, and the service was fast.
