My family of six came in around 12:30 on a weekday, and we got seated immediately. We tried a number of their dishes, including their arepas, empanadas, platos, and appetizers. Arepas (uh-RAY-puhs) are corn flatbreads stuffed with fillings, and here, they serve them either baked or fried. My favorite was their pabellón arepa. It takes all the components of their pabellón plate (Venezuela's national dish) and stuffs them in the arepa. The mix of savory beef, creamy cheese, and mildly sweet plantain makes for a mouthwatering, balanced meal that's so easy to crave. I'm already looking forward to coming back!

The curtido (pickled veggies/vinegar slaw) was incredible. When they dropped off our food, they also gave us a full container of curtido. After we were done with our food, our container was finished as well. There was only juice left inside and if I wasn't full, I would've drank that thing. It had the perfect tang, not too vinegar-y or too acidic, and the vegetables were so crunchy and fresh. And the salsa too! Flavorful, had a nice kick, perfect spice level. I grabbed a cookie that looked soft, gooey, and delicious. It nailed the delicious part but missed on the soft part. If you're a crunchy cookie person, you're in luck. If you're like me and prefer your cookies to have the structural integrity of a wet sponge, you may be disappointed. The tables were lined with comic books, which is exactly how I would decorate my house if my wife weren't constantly protecting me from myself. It was enough for 2 on its own! There's rice, steak, onions, peppers and beans. So filling but it was good!
