Perfect waterfront location at the Marina. There was plenty of dock space for us to pull up our rental boat easily. We stopped for weekday lunch. The kids all ordered the popcorn shrimp with fried okra kids meals. They came with plenty of food for my "older" kids. I enjoyed the southwest salad with a slightly spicy jalepeno ranch dressing. The best part of the experience was their great bar. Delicious cold beers, three different slushes, and lots of other options. I wish there were more places like this on the water! read more

My bf and I stayed in Jasper for 4 days on vacay, ate here 3 days. We had the glazed salmon, mahi mahi, grouper, crab dip, crab cakes, and more. It was all fantastic, especially the crab dip and potato salad! The drinks (sunset and lazy haze) were also very good! Customer service was top notch, we will absolutely be back. Everytime we come to the lake we eat at the Grille!! Love that you can get to it by water or car and the kids always enjoy getting off the boat and walking around. It does get crowded but there are picnic tables to sit at! read more

My husband and I went here for the first time recently. I would give mine a three 3 and he would give his a four 4. I ordered the grouper spicy tacos made with flour tortillas and I did not find them to be that fabulous. I thought they were OK, and I paid for them, so I ate them, but I don't think I would order them again. I also got onion rings with and I didn't find those to be too wonderful either. Most of them tasted relatively chewy, I don't know if it's because they weren't cooked long enough for what, but I don't think I would really want those again either. My husband ordered a Pimento Cheese Double Smash Patty and he did like the combination of the foods that were on it. He said he liked the wickle pickles on there, but he was expecting smash patties and he said they were more like hamburger patties. He did like the cornbread bun that was on his sandwich. He said his side, the macaroni and cheese, tasted average. read more

Great view of the beautiful Smith Lake! Went Memorial Day so you can imagine how busy it was. You order your food and drink at the counter. Went at 12:30 Sunday May 26th and got our food almost immediately after we sat down. It was a good quick lunch and enjoyed looking out over the marina. Best part of Trident Marina! The fun outdoor seating overlooking the water and fun boats. The sun was out, dogs were running around, and boats were coming and going - it was a true summertime spot. They have live music here on Fridays and Saturdays in the summer, which is truly what you should come here for. The actual food was not my favorite. We tried the burgers, fries, chicken avocado wrap, chicken tenders and fried okra. The only thing I'd maybe order again was the chicken tenders. Everything else was a little subpar, although the main part of this spot is the marina, probably not the food. That's why I think this is really a great spot to grab a drink and come for live music. (Maybe pack your own snacks.) The marina itself has a lot of boat parking (although I've heard gas is about double what you can get it outside of the marina). Regardless, I'm happy to have a local spot to come and see neighbors. read more

The Grille is located located at the Trident Marina in Crane Hill, Alabama. The Marina is super clean and had plenty of docks to park. Outdoor and indoor seating available. No wake chicken sandwich with bacon and jack cheese has been called 'best chicken sandwich ever' by a verified food snob. Burgers are really good too. This is a great place to stop and eat by boat or land. Saturday we came by boat. They have great docks for parking your boat while you eat. They gave several out door pavilions to sit outside and eat. The pavilions are on the side of the lake and give great views while eating. The entertainment is watching people try to park their boats. We ordered a bucket of beers and a Miami vice. The Miami vice is a really good frozen drink my wife really enjoyed it. I got a shrimp poboy that was great. The French fries are really good. My wife got fish tacos. She ordered the mahi mahi grilled. The fish could have used a little more seasoning but overall very fun place to eat. read more
