My husband and I go to Cullman Golden Corral quite often. Is it the best place to eat? No, but we can always have what we want. Although, I have to tell you, last week and this week have been extremely disappointing. Last week, when we were standing in line behind four other families, the cashier, another lady and a male (who was on the phone) were totally preoccupied with the fact that a bus was coming in. When we finally got our plates and sat down, we never saw our waitress again. A group of waitresses were blocking off tables and preparing for the bus. Today, we went in around 5 pm. The bar was not stocked and the air conditioner didn't work. This is two weeks in a row, and we are VERY disappointed. read more

I'm not usually one to like buffets but this one was an exception, my reasoning for not liking them is that they're usually dirty, low quality food, unappetizing and not very fresh, this one was none of those. The bars were all well stocked and a huge selection of everything from salad bar to dessert and the price was not any more than what one dish would have cost elsewhere. This location has much higher prices than posted on the corporate website, but the senior discount price is less than posted. They also have a longer window of time for the senior early bird discount which includes a drink; instead of being from 2pm to 4pm, it is 9am until 1 or 2pm at this location, which would be great. Also, While the corporate website says the senior discount starts at 60; some locations say it is 55; at least one location we visited said it was only 50. Anyway, when we were here a year ago and again a few months ago, they told us the discount was for 55+ and they rang us up with the discount. For a recent visit.... we are 59 and 58 by the way... We watched several groups roll right in.... There were two couples that were clearly over 60... but there were 3 groups of people who were all in their 30s or 40s... and one guy in front of us was talking to his partner and said he was 48.... well, every one of those people got the senior discount which was a price of only $9.99 with a drink included. When we got up there... oh, no... it came up to over $18 each. I asked, where's our discount? The cashier said, Prove that you are over 60. I then said they told us before it was 55 and then I said I'm 59. She said, "Under 50, no discount". I said that last guy you just rang up with a discount is only 48. She said, "I know him; I... I... I know his age, he's a regular customer. Ok, for this mediocre food, were not paying nearly $20 each; so we left. Then the lady started yelling at us, they want the discount but they aren't 60. read more

I got a senior discount of an extremely small amount and paid for two others to eat the Buffett. It cost me $50. The waitress was nice and kept our drinks filled. The fried shrimp was good. I've eaten at Golden Corral before. Not this one. The one I had eaten at before had so much more of a variety. This one was basic. It just wasn't worth the price at all. The dessert bar was not good at all. We tried a variety of the desserts and they all just tasted sweet. No flavor. Basically not good at all. I wouldn't recommend eating here. It's just not that good at all. Go somewhere and pay $12-$13 a plate for something you KNOW is good. read more

I had never been to a Golden Corall before so I didn't really know what to expect. My fiancé has apparently been frequenting GCs his entire life. He says this location isn't the best, but it's good. I was really impressed with everything they had to offer. The bathrooms were really nice and clean. The prices are fair for all you can eat. read more

This is the newest restaurant in Cullman Alabama. Wouldn't normally eat at a buffet like this, where you pay one price for all you can eat but I have to say they surprised my expectations. Their food was delicious and it was not dried out as you see on most buffets. They had a great selection of of meats and vegetables. The rolls were soft and warm unlike you find it other buffets where there hard as rocks. They had a wide selections of desserts and one thing that surprised me most of was on top of having soft serve ice cream they also had hard ice cream which they dipped for you. We met with a group and had a better experience this time. All of the food was hot and seemed fresh. A good variety of foods too!

We eat here whenever possible. Most of the food here is really delicious, always at the right temp, always seasoned well, etc. And if you're on any type of special diet, you can usually find foods that are on your plan, then pig out! Their roast beef, fried fish, and fried chicken are awesome, and most of the veggies are delicious. The naughty desserts are always yummy, especially when they have their awesome carrot cake! They also have a small selection of sugar-free desserts, which is very helpful. Man I'm getting hungry just thinking about the place! Oh, and it's clean too! read more

This place is an embarrassment for Cullman. Couldn't find a table for so many dirty. Desert bar is completely empty, not even pudding or toppings for ice cream left. 1 employee back there making rolls with no intentions of putting any more deserts out. Ice cream machine half works. No spoons for that out or cups. Many things were empty on the salad bar. I've been to many Golden Corrals and this one is pitiful. As for staff (besides the one in the bakery who didn't care her whole bar was empty) they were very nice and our waitress was doing her best. Great golden Corral. Very large selection buffet. My favorites were the pulled pork with the many different sauces to put on the bbq. Large selection off meats luke chicken livers, polish sausage, meatloaf. Great dessert and salad bar little pricey for 4 people about 60 bucks with drink and tip. We ate dinner here last night . The food was so good. It was after 8 pm. But all the food was still hot and fresh. Brandon was on the grill. He knows how to grill a medium rare steak to perfection. And the steak was so tender. Our server was great too. Didn't catch her name but she took great care of us. She knew she didn't have to try for a tip by flirting or showing cleavage. Just good service. The manager was visible. He was constantly checking the food bars and it looked like he was doing some quality assurance training with the employees. Good job to all! read more

Was very unhappy with the breakfast during the week, it was sad. Saturdays breakfast is awesome, but not weekdays first of all there is no orange juice on week days but not on weekends, who does that, second when they open doors there is on 25 percent of the whole bar is breakfast the rest is lunch, but you pay the same as you do for the Saturday buffet. Also no omelette bar either. Luckly I got a free buffet cause it was my birthday so I only payed for one buffet. It was barely worth that. But I will be back for weekend breakfast but not weekdays read more

Every time I go into the Cullman restaurant I have a wonderful experience with the wait staff. One in particular named Tee I hope works when I come. She always has a smile on her face and remembers my drink even when it's been a while. The only negative I can think of is the waste keeping her as a waitress. Absolutely horrible! $15 on 3 bites of instant mashed potatoes! Waited 30 min on lemon for my water that tasted like it was gotten from the toilet! By the time they got the lemon out on the bar I could have went down the road to aldi, got some lemons and cut them myself. Got a salad and ruined it with blue cheese because the scoop was placed in the wrong dressing! Asked for ranch and was told that it was out there. It wasn't. If it was, it was 5 years old and needed to be thrown out for it to taste like that. The bar was empty. They were out of everything. Figured I would go for a steak since they had nothing out and was told that they could only serve rare steaks tonight. Can you not stick it on the grill for 5 more min? I ate 3 bites of instant mashed potatoes and was not satisfied! Couldn't even get my money back. The most expensive instant mashed potatoes I have ever had! On top of that the bars were not clean at all! Most of the plates still had old food stuck to them. The spoons and tongs were disgusting! The bar had food strode out all over it. Will not be back!
