Had lunch at Victoria's today in Jasper, Alabama. I had fried okra, Black Eyed Peas and cornbread with a delightful piece of pie chocolate with chocolate chips, but it was very good not too sweet. Just the service was excellent. The waitress was amazing. I had some people tell me bad things about this restaurant, but I am so glad I came in and eat because everything the person told me was nothing but false so highly recommend everyone to come to Victoria and Jasper Alabama to have lunch thank you so much read more

This is a great little meat and three cafeteria style restaurant. You grab and tray and move down the line and tell the friendly servers what you want. They make the plate for you and you keep moving. You move pretty fast down the line so eyeball what you want ahead of time and have a plan! Be aware that this place can get very busy on Sundays! The line can get out the door. The food is always great. They have so many desserts! There are waitresses that will refill your drinks for you after you sit down. Victoria, I am very pleased with the cripsyness of the skin on the chicken. The meat was cooked to a nice temperature in the middle of the leg and I did not encounter any bloddy spots at the bone. The size of the chicken leg was meaty and the mixture of the juice and crunchy bite of the chicken was enough to make me want to come back. Just a Delightful Restaurant This restaurant is a classic southern small town good eats type of place. The food is just about for everyone, fried food, healthier options, and good dessert. I go to this restaurant probably at least 3 times a week, and it's always a good pleasurable experience. We actually have a new activity my family enjoys now, and it's going to eat at Victoria's. [Food pros]: This food style is buffet one meat and 3 vegetables type of lay out. Great fried fish, Great vegetable beef soup, and fantastic sides. The best is the squash casserole. You will get your vegetable craving handled. [Overall pros]: The owner is really lively and active. He posts videos of the food on Facebook almost everyday and it's gives that hometown vibe that everybody in a small town enjoys. The inside is decorated with a 70s vibe which is totally a vibe it adds to the atmosphere. [Con]: A con is the steps directly outside the diner door you leave out of is a bit of a drop even for me. I actually dropped my tea one time and cut my finger the first time I was there because of it. I didn't know it dropped. Pros: They waitress and server was very nice asking if we needed refills often. Cons: I have to disagree with some other reviews that state that it will remind you of Grandmas cooking. Our meal (especially the vegetables) were canned and unseasoned. Not bad, but obviously canned and heated. Nothing special. Everything had to be salt and peppered to taste. Victoria's serves an older crowd. My wife and I are in our late 40's and were by far the youngest customers. Conclusion: There is nothing terrible about this diner. I also had the Mexican-style cornbread both times. For desert, I had a piece of peanut butter cake and then a slice of strawberry pie. I usually try to put pros and cons in a review. I'm having to reach for cons here... Maybe location? It's sort of connected to a low-end hotel on the westernmost side of Jasper. Victoria's is a destination, not someplace you'd be passing by and say, "Oh yeah, I think I'll stop at Victoria's." If you're going to Victoria's for lunch, you picked it before you ever left home. Also be aware of price. A meat, two veggies, cornbread, a desert, and sweet tea is going to set you back about $13. Great "Meat and 3" place. Menu changes daily, so you can eat there often and always get something different. I have eaten there 15+ times and never had a bad meal.
