The staff member the, Lana was really nice and we had a really nice chat. It was rustic, but basic interior with pent off seating inside and outside. My only thing that I would change is that there were too many sesame seeds on my bun, but I'll ask for a different bun next time that I visit.

I love that this is an actual filling station, still with garage doors. You can eat inside or outside - doors were open for the nice weather but I'm sure the place is heated in the winter. Fun sign out front. The very friendly lady at the counter answered all our question and we chatted about the restaurant as we were deciding what to order. All 5 stars so far. So for burgers, I fully admit I'm a bit of a snob and hard to please. I was heartened that these are Pat LaFrieda style burgers: brisket, hanger steak, short rib, not chuck. So I gave it my best shot and ordered a TFS burger (caramelized onion, mushrooms, bacon) with two cheeses, cooked rare, plus a side of onion rings. As others have said here, my "rare" burger came out medium, so I'm sure glad I didn't leave it as the default medium. The burger was a little too salty but otherwise solid and full of flavor like good meats and toppings ought to be. The onion rings were not all that great - solid breading that drowns out the onion, and you don't get a lot for $8 (plus dipping sauces cost extra, unless you just take a ketchup or mustard packet). Verdict: I like this restaurant, but it's not enough to draw me back here or any other Filling Stations (all in authentic garages) without two changes: * When providing high quality meats, please cook burgers thick instead of thin so that they can come out actually rare for the best taste. * There were no prices in the liquor menu. I'm not even going to try ordering a beer (or other) if you don't tell me the cost up front.

The scallion pancake was mmm--mmm good! The addition of cooked scallions to the pancake batter meant there were mildly crunchy scallions combined in pancake soft batter. We gobbled it up. It came with soy sauce but the pancake didn't really need a sauce. The kimchi was crunchy and spicy. The egg drop soup was yummy. The bibimbap was large enough for 2 to share. The combination of beef on rice with an array of thinly sliced vegetables was delicious. The next day on the 5-hour plane ride home, we took out our sandwiches. As we were eating them we congratulated ourselves on how smart we were to pack delicious, hearty sandwiches. We don't know why Pomona Kosher Grill isn't packed with customers! The food is excellent!

We got the opportunity today while driving to Vermont from Maryland. We went a tiny bit out of the way. Great food. My spouse and I split a bulgogi sandwich, a cabbage/potato pancake, and an 8-piece order of Korean chicken strips and fries. Too much food for us to eat. We took some home and I ate the rest in our hotel. Bulgogi sandwich was delicious. Thin sliced beef, Asian seasonings, fresh roll. Loved it. Pancake was like an omelette or potato cake. Fresh and delicious. With a delicious dipping sauce. Chicken strips were yummy, fresh, crisp. I had always read about Korean fried chicken and wanted to try it, this was my chance. Definitely enjoyable and delicious, but not the totally new level that I had been imagining. Just goes to show you it's not a burden to keep kosher, you're missing out but not too much. Location was great for us, traveling south to north. I had never been to Pomona/ Monsey. Easy parking in a nondescript strip shopping center. Atmosphere was spartan. Apparently this business started during Covid and a few months ago moved to the current location. Plain, simple, clean, but zero atmosphere. Don't take a date here for romance. Bring a buddy for great food. Service was good. Server Yisroel was charming, relaxed, friendly (we were the only customers when we entered) and we enjoyed being served by him. Value was a bit expensive. We did not order drinks. We paid $63 including tax and tip, a bit pricey for two. I would definitely return because the food was really good. Scores: food 5, atmosphere 3, service 5, location 4, value 3, for an overall score of 4.

Everything was also packed up and presented so nicely. My mom picked it up and she said that an employee helped and brought everything to her car. She even said the employee kept the meal for 6 and the meal for 4 separate. The cover for the tray with fries was poked with holes so that it wouldn't get soggy. Talk about a simple afterthought! The meals came with with different types of kabobs (2 different chicken ones, and two different beef ones), Chicken Shawarma, Israeli salad, hummus, fries, babaghanoush, two different kinds of rice and pita bread. We also had falafel. Let me tell you....everything was so delicious. I wasn't even hungry after my first plate but I still helped myself to more. Everyone in my family throughly enjoyed. We couldn't stop talking about how good the food and presentation was. 5 stars all the way!

You also get two sides when you do the lunch special and the dinner special. I had the cabbage and eggplant both very yummy. My girlfriend had the same Shawarma, but her sides were pita and hummus. I think next time I'd like to try it in a wrap to see how it tastes we also had fries that were very well done and nice and crispy. Just the way I like them. It was a large portion. The staff were very attentive as there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant on a Thursday afternoon. But they made sure we enjoyed our experience.
