Five stars for alcohol selection! Why support BevMo or Total Wine and More when you can support small shops?! Besides, the big chains don't always have Pappy anyway, but this place does. And as of Feb 16 2019, you will not find a chain store with as much inventory of Blanton's as The Grocery Bag. In fact, I've checked out O' so many mucho mas liquor stores in AV, Thousand Oaks, SFV, West Valley, Hollywood, Pasadena and I have never seen so many Blanton's in one place between last year and this year to-date. There's a real shortage of Blanton's out there, yet this place found a way to source it. Just look up and there's an ENTIRE ROW of BLANTON's on top of the wine shelf! . . And more bottles speckled here and there on other shelves. Kinda like finding Waldo. You look right and behind the counter are rows of tequila, vodka, bourbons, scotches, and Japanese whiskeys and Irish whiskey and other whiskeys (is Canadian even really a whiskey?--I dunno. Sure; why not). In the top center of this shelf are the Pappys! I'm not crazy about Pappy, so let me tell you about everything else. They have a good selection of Japanese whiskey selection--rare to find a typical mom n' pop liquor store. They have a really great selection of wine and beer too, but I'm on a whiskey kick right now, so here's roll call for that: They had Green Spot, Redbreast, Angels Envy, Four Roses, Elmer T Lee, Eagle Rare, Stagg, Sazerac, 1792, Col. EH Taylor, and the list just goes on and on. read more

Open parking lot in a safe area. The store has your general items, chips , cookies , snacks and sodas. Has a great assortment of wines, IPAs, beers and mixed drinks. Staff is friendly and they do sell lotto tickets but cash only for the lotto. Otherwise they take debit/credit card with no minimum or charge read more

Complete rip-off. Prices $10-20 higher than any where else on wine and liquor. I live in West Hills and will not be coming back.

I asked the sales associate the price of the Tres Generaciones anejo, he said $36.99. Which confirmed the price tag (at sketchy liquor stores sometimes it is prudent to confirm). He rings me up at $43.99. When I asked about the discrepancy his reply was the price was wrong. Then he adds a tip to the total. Okay, I forgot that's why I try to never stop in liquor stores. This is an excellent liquor store that completes all of your beer, wine and spirits needs. I'm a craft beer lover and this spot has many excellent choices whether you want a six pack or a single, delicious IPA. I also use the store for buying lotto tickets and scratchers. They have an excellent selection of scratchers of different denominations and game formats. This is my go-to liquor store in West Hills. read more

Stopped in the other day to check out the whiskey and beer selection and my jaw dropped amazing selection of craft beers once I picked out my favorite beer I went over to check out the whiskey and I was in shock they have almost anything you can think of! Came back about a week later for my wife to check out the wine selection and it felt like she was in a candy store. 100% recommended I know I'll be back for sure! read more

I live in the neighborhood for 14 years and ever since I've been going to their. I have so many memories in that store. They are of the best around with friendly service. One complaint is that 2 guys where arguing and cussing at each other behind the fridge where the drinks are. I found that to be very odd. read more

Talked to the owner, and my suspicions were right: He has awesome taste in spirits and is a super cool guy. I appreciate a place that stays open late. I'm a night owl haha. He's got a nice variety of everything and a great variety of scratchers. He has alcohol that's already boxed up.
