Sandy has a calm ,soft manner and a soothing voice. It works! No whining,crying from nervous nelly. She's wagging her tail and beautifully coiffed with bows when I arrive. I travel 35 minutes from Metro West just for the services at Gentle Grooms. It is well worth the drive.

And no one in the family wants to even TRY clipping her nails at home, because she gets so panicked and squirmy, we're afraid of accidentally making her bleed! But we've gone twice now to the Wizard of Pawz, and the second time, she was soooo much calmer with getting her nails trimmed! Her back was shaved 2 months ago for spinal surgery, so they did a nice job of trimming the rest of her fur shorter to help it blend in. And the shorter trim on her legs (which usually look like she's wearing fluffy 80's legwarmers!) help so that her fur isn't getting tangled/matted or full of ticks when she's out in the taller grass! The staff are so sweet and friendly there -- you can tell they just adore dogs. We will be back for sure!

Marcio is a very talented groomer. He listened to my feedback regarding what kind of cut I wanted / how I wanted to the area where her eye used to be to be trimmed / styled, etc. I could not be more happy with the job he and his team did. Not only did he respond to me initial request for an estimate, but also did provide me with a grooming appointment time and day within 24 hours from reaching out. Nevertheless, the groomer was patient, flexible, and easy to work with. I would use Bark and Mane again if my cat weren't such a surly beast. The owner very kindly offered to have the van return to finish clipping my cat's nails at no cost.

It's an absolute ripoff, and I wouldn't go here if I had any other option to give my dog a bath when it's too cold to do outside. The place is also increasingly dingy and depressing, with no basic maintenance or upkeep. The walls and ceiling clearly have not been cleaned or painted this millennium.

Daniella is the only groomer there so she personally takes care of each dog from beginning to end. I explained all that had happened in the past and she was super understanding, texted and kept me updated throughout the service until the end plus my doggie looked so fluffy, cute and well groomed! I no longer trust Crate Escape to care for my dog…read more Our dog had gone to the Crate Escape since he'd had his shots. He was well cared-for, and enjoyed going there. The last few times we brought him there, the staff was clearly under-trained and awkward with him. After one pickup, we noticed a nasty abrasion on his skin with some bleeding. I got an "oh gosh, we didn't notice that", and a followup phone call that meant nothing. They have switched to an online booking system that's poorly designed and a pain to use, very different from the days when you'd just call and make a reservation. I strongly recommend avoiding these folks. They used to be great. I would have gone out of my way to bring in more customers for them back then; all the good will is gone.
