Not sure what the complaints are about. We had to leave our dogs and cat here for an extended…read moreperiod of time after a house fire. We came and checked on them and they were doing great. We have since had them keep the dogs for a short period of time. It's a doggy daycare and they take good care of the dogs. They run around with other dogs. My dogs come home tired and happy. And they even put up with my cat who is not so nice:)

Before I start, THIS IS NOT ABOUT MONEY…read more Pawville has changed, but necessarily for the better. New owners mean new rules, which is fine, but their communication is seriously lacking. After dealing with this place for well over a year, I've learned that you must ask the staff questions (and lots of them) to find out exactly what is included and what isn't when you pay for boarding and/or daycare. That might sound like an obvious statement, and we asked several questions when we first started bringing our dog here based on previous experiences. But when customers deal with a business for a while, they get used to the service. So, when the business decides to make some pretty significant changes to that service, is a customer being unreasonable for asking those changes to be communicated the next time they call in? According to Pawville, the answer is YES. My issue was that boarded dogs get barely any playtime now unless you pay extra. I didn't know this when we took him in. I only found out when I was picking him up because I overheard another customer discussing the same issue with the front desk associate. I'll add that we have no problem paying the extra fee. My issue is that this was not communicated to me, and as a result, our dog ended up being locked away in a room with little playtime for three days. When I talked to the manager later (Kat), she stated that daycare had been included previously with boarding because she was trying to keep customers. This is why I thought it was included in our fee. Then, she apologized and offered two free half-days of daycare. That would have been great if she hadn't followed up her apology by repeatedly insinuating it was my fault for not reading their website closely enough (we called to make the reservation, so we didn't see anything they posted at the front desk) I checked, and they do mention the change on the homepage. However, they don't explain how little "complimentary playtime" actually is. To save you the effort, I'll tell you: 15-30 minutes a day. For a business that probably relies on repeat customers, Pawville's business strategy is pretty lousy. They have lots of 5-star reviews--for now--but if this is how they operate, that will change.

My dog is a 15 1/2-year-old Papillon, he is blind, and has diminished hearing and is a picky eater…read more He gets up sometimes two to three times per night because he often sleeps frequently during the day, that said, my wife and I had to go out of the country for a week and I just could not leave him with a neighbor or just have someone drop in on him infrequently. So, I decided to take him to Happy K9 Academy. I really respect how this business operates, first they asked if I could bring him in for a few hours to see how he would make out, no other boarding facility has ever done that for my dog! I also like that this facility has 24-hour staffing and a security system. The doors remain locked until you call or text them and then a staff member will greet you at the front door to take in or bring out your dog. When I dropped off my dog, I stepped inside to take a quick look and I was impressed. It did not smell and was clean and well maintained. During the time my dog stayed at the facility they texted and called me with concerns about how much food he eats daily and about how often he goes to the bathroom. Other places I had boarded him in the past would never reach out if they had a concern! I dropped off my dog with Andrew and he has a great disposition in handling dogs, he was sincere to our needs and caring about my dog like it was his own! Ashlyn & Brook are also excellent to work with, both very sincere and professional! I will definitely take my dog back to Happy K9 Academy in the future when I plan my next trip. If I could give them 10 stars I would! I highly recommend that you check out this facility if you need your dog(s) boarded. On a side note, when I went to pick up my dog he was clean like the day I dropped him off, they also cleaned his bowls and storage containers that we left his food in.
