We've taken our dog here three times and every time I've been really pleased! He always comes home nice and fluffy and smelling great. His haircut is always really well done and you can tell the people who work there really care about the pets that come to see them. He's a rescue who is on the (highly) anxious side and they always take good care of him even though he's terrified to be there. Also their prices are great and I like that they have the option to do a mini groom so he can just get his face and paws cut and maintain his fluffiness. read more

I have been bringing my dog for nail trims here for about 10 years. The last year or so something has changed. The quality of the trims has become inconsistent and sometimes very poor. To the point that I have to inspect his feet (especially dewclaws) before paying. Unfortunately, I didn't warn my son of these points. He took Rondo in for me on Thursday afternoon. Says the staff was rude. He paid cash , including tip. When I got home, I was displeased. Some nails still long. All different lengths. Dewclaws untouched! The business was closed by this time. I went on their website and left a very politely worded request for a 'redo' or refund. Left my number and email address but they couldn't be bothered. This is my first ever yelp review. STAY AWAY from this place. You've been warned. read more

I thought I had already written a positive review for this groomer, but I was wrong, and I'm glad. On my first visit here, I was happy with the experience. My dog looked great; he seemed happy; and I loved that they had an option not to crate him (which he hates). However, on the next couple of visits, I noticed everything seemed a bit careless and rushed. I noticed little grooming details that weren't addressed: I questioned whether they actually brushed his teeth or cut his nails; he seemed nervous about me touching his nails, which leads me to think they hurt him; and it didn't look like they trimmed the hair in his ears or paws. Finally, I hit the last straw. My dog has been scratching his ear a lot lately, and it looks red/black, irritated and dirty. He went to the vet on Monday, and my fear was confirmed that he has an ear infection -- caused by the groomer not removing the hair from that ear! I am so angry and annoyed, especially because this groomer is more expensive than my last, who treated my dog like family. I will definitely not be bringing him back here and now am on the hunt for yet another capable and loving groomer. read more

This place is great. I made an appointment the day before and they were able to accommodate me. The prices are great. They were only $50 for a great lion cut and my cat looks great. She was very soft and smelled good. She seemed very happy. They spent a long time with her (they said 3-4 hours hours, I dropped her off at 10:30 and she was ready after 3). They said they would call when she was ready but I called early to check on her. The only reason I give them less than 5 stars is that I felt the staff was not super friendly. They seemed very busy and nice to the regulars but I felt a little brushed off. They were not rude but I get excited to see my pet and they seemed like it was a chore. She may have been a little difficult but they were so happy to see some other dogs so I felt brushed off. read more

I bring my Morkie here, and they do a great job every time! The staff is extremely friendly, and very accommodating. My only reason for the 4 stars is that they have never called me when she's done. I never know when to get her! I guess I could call, but I don't want to be a bother since they have so many dogs they're trying to work on. read more

The Grooming Post has a professional atmosphere and a friendly staff. My long haired cat was in desperate need to be shaved , she had lots of knots close to the skin. They somehow managed to give her that perfect " lion cut" . I would definitely recommend and be coming back ! read more

This place was pretty good. The employees here really took an interest in my dog and didn't just treat her like a customer. When i picked her up she had a beautiful shiny coat and had a pleasant scent...not too much perfume. The only complaint is that a trim, wash, cleaned ears and clipped nails should not take 4 hours. Otherwise I thought my dog looked Great! I would definitely go back. read more

I am beyond upset! Just picked up my dog and cat and after 6 hours of being at the groomers the cat was never bathed and my dog was cut because they cut the nails too short and they never mentioned it. I came home and the blood from her wounds wound up all over my couch, carpets and floors, as well as my car! I called and the woman said she was sorry she didn't tell me she cut her because she though the bleeding had stopped! My poor dog!!!!! I'm so upset! They didn't even offer me a refund at all and charged me $58 plus I tipped those jerks $10 on top of it! NEVER USE THIS GROOMER! read more

This was my first time to the grooming post... For my daughter's service dog. Their price quoted, by phone, was 50 dollars. On arrival at 9 am, we arrived with 5 other dogs. The floors had blood stains and urine. They agreed to have the dog ready at 12:30. We were told at pick up that the cost was $ 60 because he was difficult to groom. . he was crying. They did not cut his nails, and probably didn't do the ear hairs either.... Curt and unsympathetic staff member.Poor quality service.. I will never go there again... read more

Got there at 8:30 for a 9:00 first come first serve "appointment". I was the first person there but some women with 2 dogs was taken before me and another dog because they jumped out the car first. Had to go back out to the car to get the rabies paperwork because I forgot it while racing to get my dog in the door. Very overwhelming experience for my dog and I, as everyone is coming in at the same time. By the time I got the paperwork a couple more dogs were checking in before mine. I told the groomer EXACTLY what i didn't want. I don't like the poodle cut and I told her I just wanted her Trimmed around the feet and face and her body a little bit shorter, but I like her long curly hair. I was told to call at 1:00 and that she was all set. I asked if they did teeth? And she said yes but it's not part of the package (she never asked what package I wanted and never showed me anything before this- I asked when I made the "appointment" and they said it would all be handled when I came in). So I asked if they also do anal glands and she said oh yeah let me show you our packages. I did a general package with teeth and anal glands. I went home. When it was 1:00, I called and there was a busy signal, so I went inside. I Stood at the counter for a couple minutes after ringing the bell 2 times. A groomer noticed me standing there and said "someone's out front" she looked displeased I was there? The groomer who was doing my dog (blonde hair) came out and said she needed 15 more minutes. My dog had now been there for 4 hours. The groomer then looked at me and said well (passively aggressively) that she needed to spend a long time brushing the dogs hair. (I had brushed the dog the night before). But fin. I call 25 mins later and the phone has a busy signal Again. I called 6 more times and still a busy signal so I went in. I rang the bell and waited. Finally my dog comes out and my poor adorable dog has the ugliest hair cut invented- the poodle cut. THE EXACT CUT I SAID I DIDNT WANT. I expressed my upset and told the women her phones are giving a busy signal and she says oh that's weird, Sorry about that. I paid $53 for the general package plus anal glands expression and teeth brushing. Fine. the groomer told me the dogs anal glands were all backed up (even though I had the dogs anal glands expressed the last time I had the dog groomed which was about 6 months ago). If they need to be expressed more often, why wouldn't she have said that when I dropped the dog off instead of trying to rush me out the door. So after my dog being at the groomers for 4 hours, She has all the random clumps of hair that are longer than the rest. She has 2 clumps of matted fur on her stomach. She came home and drank so much water (probably because they didn't give her any) Annd she smelt like she was swimming in a pond!!!!! Honestly smells so bad. I called and tried to speak to someone about my displeased experience and she didn't listen to what I had to say, just told me that my dog was all matted and she had to trim her the way she did and that she had been doing her job for 30 years. My dog does get mats on her inside legs and her stomach and I cut them at home but she didn't have them on her back or anywhere else. This women, instead of apologizing for not listening to my request, blamed it on nonexistent mats. Why does my dog smell like a pond? I will never go back. read more

I love these guys -- and so does my dog! I have a white mini-poodle, who does not stay very white. He loves going to see Tracy, Ashley and all the wonderful ladies at the Grooming Post. He gets groomed every 4-5 weeks, but he goes weekly for a bath. When he walks in, he can't wait for the girls to come out of the back room and greet him, so he's usually jumping on the door to get their attention. Tracy charges very reasonable prices and always does a superior job. Teeth brushing, etc. are extras, and they always do a good job for Truman. read more

So our first visit here was great and had that continued this could have been a 5 star review. And if a no star review was possible then that is what I would give them We have used this place many times but today was the final straw. We thought we'd give them another chance figuring working with dogs can at times be unpredictable. But I picked my dogs up today after having to call to see if they were ready (everywhere else gives you a courtesy call so you know when you're babies are ready) when I got there I figured it would be the same price as always since we always get the same services done for both dogs every time only to find out it was A LOT more than usual and after explaining this to the woman who basically argued with me the whole time even after looking at what was paid at past visits,I paid and brought my dogs home. That is when I realized my husky's paw was bleeding and No one said anything to me about it and my terriers hair cut on his head was completely sloppy and uneven.I'll be the first to admit accidents happen but the owner of the animal needs to be told and they should have cleaned it up. Both of my dogs have not been the same since they got home both very depressed with ears back which is a behavior that has never happened before after being groomed. This is completely inexcusable. And we will not be bringing our dogs back here again. read more
