I had a very bad experience with this place and would not recommend it. My dog was groomed here and was cut over five times, requiring a visit to the vet. No one informed me at pickup, and the manager tried to blame it on my dog being matted, which does not justify multiple injuries. The boarding experience was just as concerning. When my dog was picked up, his belongings were disorganized, and his bed was returned soaked in dried feces. Staff admitted multiple dogs had diarrhea but never contacted me. They also said they sometimes give dogs pumpkin without notifying owners. Communication between staff and management was extremely poor, and no one seemed to know what was going on with the animals. It appears my dog may have been left in an unsanitary condition for days without proper care. The staff showed little concern or accountability, and responses felt scripted and dismissive. Overall, this facility lacks proper communication, cleanliness, and care. I will not be returning and urge others to be cautious when trusting them with their pets. I have recorded calls and photos so i do not want to see this business coming back with some weak response. My mom used them years ago and the experience was top tier. She got photos sent to her everyday, a report card saying whether he ate or didn't and if he actually played with the other animals or not. We spend our hard earn money and trust that this place is going to take care of our fur babies. Communication is key especially when dealing with animals who can not tell us what is going on. If i could leave 0 stars i would. Please do not bring your animals here i don't care if it's your last resort. I made a post on social media about it and the responses i received were out of this world. The front desk girl Danielle has absolutely no idea what is going on and the male managers response is always what do u want out of all this. Umm I want absolutely nothing from you because my dog is never coming back. I want yall to get your stuff together and take better care of the animals that are left in your care... i have contacted the owners and the appropriate people. I WILL BE TAKING THIS THE DISTANCE and i truly mean that. Sincerely a loving and caring dog owner. I want to finally say. I have finally had it with the receptionist they have working the front desk. I dread opening that front door and have to prepare myself for what waits me. I have absolutely now idea why a company would choose a girl to be the one that deals with the customers all day long. Apparently the manager has no clue what he's doing. Big Phil and Sydney's nails have sent three clippers to the great groomer in the skies graveyard. It's like clipping #2 pencils made of graphite and my depth perception of how far up to go, never hits the mark. So I needed professionals and as a walk in, with seven tables a buzz with dogs getting buzzed and trimmed, I was taken immediately. The kisses and love and care given to my thirteen year old matriarch, set a peaceful easy feeling upon my concerned mind and hawkish eyes. Big Phil wasn't super keen on the clippers nor the shaping tool, but for an opinionated, macho, confident but defiant dog -- he went along with it quite well.. We've had our female Lab mix bathed and boarded at The Grooming Room many times over the past 6 years. We have ALWAYS been more than satisfied with her treatment. How do we know she's been treated well? Not only does she seem content when we pick her up (even if we've been gone for a week) but when we are approaching Grooming Room's driveway on the drop-off, Rosie can hardly wait to get out of the car. When we first moved to the area, we found The Grooming Room Pet Spa, and felt super comfortable leaving our dogs there. Fast forward to this year. The first time we left our dog was for a week, and when we picked him up, they notified us that while trimming his nails, they accidentally cut one of his nails too short (he was bleeding a little bit when we got home. I understand sometimes this happens). This time, (literally today) we picked him up and he was filthy! We had to roll the windows down on the way home, and he was only there for 3 days. The reason for one star review is it wasnt just mud and dirt from playing with the other dogs, he was covered in urine. When i showered him at home the water coming off him was YELLOW. I totally understand and expect him to be dirty after playing with dogs for three days, but i DO NOT expect to pick up a urine covered dog. I dont know how theyre running things with the new owners, but this will be the last time i bring my dog here. This was completely unacceptable and I question how he was treated while there, what kind of attention he was receiving, whether he was given adequate water as he lapped up two FULL bowls when we brought him home, etc. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement, but I am more angry at this situation than anything else. read more

I took my pet in for just a bath and requested 2-times that they not clip my pet's nails because I just had her in the week before for a full groom and her nails were at the quick already. When I picked her up the groomer Alexa said she bathed her and clipped her nails "again." When I spoke to the manager Carla. I explained that I requested twice not to clip my pet's nails. The groomer Alexa kept smiling and started laughing saying we bath and clip the nails. When I left the business, I immediately contacted my Vet and explained what had happened and they told me to monitor my pet. I also contacted the local police department be that was sinister to clip my pet's nails in the quick and laugh about it. Please monitor what happenes to your pet if you take it there. My little white fluffy dog (Coton de Tulear) has been seeing Joy for his grooming for a year now. When we arrive he goes to her willingly with tail wagging. This gives me great comfort knowing he not only isn't scared of her but actually likes her. She does an amazing job with his cut as these dogs aren't the easiest to groom. And I can always tell she's done a great job when I get home because my husband always says, "This is his best cut ever!" Every single time. :-) read more

This place has terrible customer service. I made daycare reservations for my 2 dogs in late May for July 1 & 2. On July 1 I dropped off the dogs. Later that day I called to ask a question about my Friday reservations and was informed that it had been canceled on June 18 and that their daycare was closed tomorrow July 2. Upon replying that I had never cancelled my reservations nor had I received any call that they'd now be closed July 2, I was told it was posted on social media. No apology, just my fault for not checking social media. When I picked up my dogs that day I let the receptionist know how upset I was and wouldn't use there facilities again. Next day the owner called, apologized for the fact I never got a phone call but then proceeded to berate me for being rude to his employee. Totally unprofessional operation. read more

We recently moved to the area this year and I was trying to find a reasonable groomer for our Goldendoodle. I had brought her in before back in April. We had no issues and they did a good job cutting her. I made another appointment last week since she needed it and this time it was a complete DISASTER!! I spoke with our groomer ahead of time and told the groomer to not do the same as last time, she half listened. She listened when it came to cutting her head but she cut her body even shorter than before and I specifically had asked to leave it longer that the last cut! Only some of her dewclaws were cut, she shaved a lot of the spots way too short and my sweet girl has such bad irritated skin now until it grows out more AND she totally messed up her paws. I will never recommend this place to anyone, nor will we ever return. Horrible groomer!! read more

The staff was kind enough to take pictures so that I could see she was making friends. Great prices, great service, friendly staff. I called to have maverick, my Siberian Husky, washed and have a de shed treatment done. I dropped him off and got a call 3 hours later saying they did not have time to finish him because he was to much dog. This was after Scheduling 2 weeks in advance. They said they only got his back two legs. I checked his activity monitor only to find out he had been in resting mode, which the activity monitor shows even when he's walking or moving, for 2.5 hours. They told me they had been working on him the whole time. The owner , Chris, told me that if I rescheduled for another two weeks out he would do maverick himself. I agreed and came to pick up maverick only to find that they had shaved his belly and chopped off big chunks of hair out of his beautifully long tail. I was mortified. I have had him groomed and brushed him out myself for 4 years. I was told that the hair just fell out which is impossible being that I had just brushed his tail out the weekend before and there wasn't any mats in his tail. I agreed to take him back two weeks later hoping that the mistake was made because the groomer was in a hurry. 30 minutes before my apointment I got a call saying they couldn't get him in and that I needed to schedule another two weeks out. This place is a joke, do not take your dog here if you care at all about how they look or customer service. Now I have to find somewhere else to groom my dog and his tail is ruined. I specifically told them not to cut ANY hair and they shaved his belly , butchered his tail and cut all the hair off his back legs. These people are lazy and unprofessional. My small dog was here for six days. She is not spayed and is very friendly. The place was clean, no odors), and staff sociable...good start! She willing went with staff and they doted over her a little. I came back 6 days later and she appeared normal. I don't know what they gave her because she had her own food but she had diarrhea and vomiting (on my floor!!!??!) for 2 days after that stay. The place is nice enough but for the cost ($26/night), my overall optimistic attitude, and the after clean up I'd have insist on not more than 3 stars. read more

Took my 2 pups here for grooming. One needed a complete shave and bath, etc. Other needed a bath and to be furminated. I'll just tell you the story of my experience. I had an appointment at 8 and was 5 minutes late. I had my hands full with dog records and my wallet and was trying to get two dogs in the door and my greyhound has an issue with slippery looking floors. After 2 attempts to get in the door, I look to the desk and the lady is just standing there staring at me. She doesn't offer to help me, doesn't greet me, doesn't try to come out to assist in anyway. Fantastic. Thanks, I got this. Finally, after several more attempts, I was able to get both dogs through the door. I get up to the counter and instead of taking the dogs from me so I can fill out paper, she has me start filling out paperwork. This I kind of understood since it was our first time there and records needed to be verified. A man came out to take the greyhound and before he took the leash, he let the dog smell him and he pet the dog. I explained that the greyhound was afraid of slippery floors. The guy asked if he should just carry the greyhound and I explained that probably wasn't any better than gently guiding him where he needed to go. I was glad the guy spoke with me and worked with me rather than just doing whatever he felt like. When the greyhound went back, the lady at the desk finally took my other dog so I could fill out the paperwork. Also, other people are starting to come in to drop off their dogs for daycare, so it was getting hectic in the reception area and the lady is greeting and dealing other people/dogs (very much unlike when I came through the door), all the while, she has barely spoken to me the entire time other than to clarify my name for my appointment and point out the form for me to fill out. I was flustered and irritated and if someone hadn't already taken my greyhound to the back, I'd have taken the dogs and left at this point. My first impression was not good. Once I got all the paperwork sorted out, I had to clarify with the lady that was all she needed before I left. I got a call about 2 hours after drop off that both dogs were done. They clarified on a shaving question and said the dogs were ready for pick up. They also had no issue when I said I'd be there in an hour and a half to pick them up. When I arrived for pick up the total was $100 (for the shave/etc for the 30lb dog and for a bath/furminator for the 80lb greyhound), the lady brought out my little dog first. I didn't like the way she'd shaved her face, so she fixed it quickly and led the dog to me. Then she brought out my greyhound. The lady explained that the little dog had some stool issues and I acknowledged her concern and explained the situation to her. I asked if the little dog was good and the lady said yes she was (I ask so that way I can work with the dogs on any issues like not wanting feet/ears/face touched, etc). Another groomer chatted with me for a moment about the breed of the little dog, which was 1 of 2 interactions that helped me feel more at ease, the first being with the man about my greyhound. We were soon on our way home. When we got home, I started noticing things. There were patches of fur on the little dog that didn't get shaved, her teeth were barely brushed, if at all (I thought this was part of the grooming session), and her nails were barely trimmed at all (it looked like a dremel had been ran over the nails a few times, but she was clicking on the floor so barely any nail had been removed). The greyhound is definitely not shedding as much after the furminator which is a positive. His nails were an ok length and his teeth are bad anyways so I didn't even notice if they brushed them or not. I was also pleased that the dogs didn't smell overbearing or like a 90 year old lady when I picked them up. Truthfully, based on price, my interactions with the lady, especially her lack of assistance or friendliness when we came in, and little things I noticed when we got home, I doubt we will return. I've definitely visited other groomers who made me feel more comfortable with leaving my dogs with strangers than the Grooming Room. I was glad for quick service, but I was very upset with the lack of customer service from the lady that I had to interact with the most. read more

Love this place! The owners are so, so nice. This is also more affordable than any place I've been to- including places like Petsmart, etc. My dogs always look great when they get groomed. I also boarded here once, and I shopped so many different places before hand. None added up for the price or the value. This was an open-kennel board, so my dog got to hang out with some other dogs all day instead of put into a tiny kennel depening on how much i was willing to pay. It was also on the cheaper side of the boarding I was able to find. When I went to pick up my dog after a week of boarding, he barely even got excited. My dog actually begs to come here! We found this place when we first moved here in 2012. We have been bringing him here ever since then. We have had him groomed, boarded and we bring him to daycare everyday. He absolutely loves all of the staff and they treat him and us like family. Going back to my first sentence, he does actually beg. After a walk with my husband one day he kept whining. My husband asked if he wanted to go to daycare, he perked up and ran to the front door. My husband opend the door and he ran to the car. My husband then took him to The Grooming Room where is little tail would quit wagging because he was so excited to be there. He loves playing with the dogs and in the new outside area where he can play fetch. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Was recommend by my vet to go here. After picking up my dog and getting him back home, I realized the growths on his skin had been cut off & he was severely burned by the clippers. I took my dog to be boarded for three weeks there. I thought it would be okay, the people seemed nice enough. Well, I never had a problem with my dog before taking him to the Grooming Room, now we have a flea problem we have been battling for five months since picking op our dog. We found the problem as the cage he sleeps in, and the bed, were so infested with fleas he would not go in there after a while. So now we have a serious flea problem that seems to not be going away, despite some serious efforts to eliminate the fleas. Of course, the owners will not acknowledge our concern about the fleas. read more
