    Best buddy!

Just picked up Bentley who is a frequent flyer. Got a fresh bath and so happy which he always tends to be. Moved here from FL and this place is awesome! Thought I had the best in Naples but Prt Mahal is as good if not better. Highly recommend for you four legged family member

Well a few things... This company is very loving and professional regarding your animals. However you can not get anyone on the phone... ever. Not only that but they do not call you back. If you create an account and sign up online, you are sent an autogenerated email saying your appt is not confirmed until you hear from a staff member which I never did. I took the chance and showed up for my requested unconfirmed appt and luckily it was our correct appt time. All this being said, I stayed for my babies appt and I could tell that was awkward for them but if you don't answer the phone I'm not leaving my pet with you ever. They were kind to me regardless. Our groomer did an amazing job and they really do take the time to make your baby a priority. I think hiring a secretary full time would really make a difference in the reviews. All that matters to me is that my baby girl is safe and loved. I believe this is achieved at Pet Mahal.

I've never owned a dog that needed grooming, so this was a first for me. I foster dogs and just received a rescue who had mats and needed some pampering. I chose Pet Mahal, after talking with another rescue friend. The care my foster dog received was amazing. She came out happy and beautiful. In the future, I will use you guys for any future fosters that may need a little extra love and pampering. Thanks for making her experience a great one!

They always take great care of Brady and ensures he feels comfortable and welcome

A perfect cut and topped off with a super cute bow and banana!

We just got home from having our Pomeranian cut and groomed at the Pet Mahal. I cannot say enough about how wonderful she looks. Tina did an excellent job. Not only does she look great, but you can tell she is happy and they took very good care of her. We've had a terrible time finding a groomer since we've moved into the area. We drove 30 minutes to try the services at The Pet Mahal and it was worth every minute and every penny. The location is a little odd, but inside is beautiful, clean and everyone there was super friendly. Yes it was a little pricier than the other two groomers, but for $10,totally worth it. We've already booked our next appointment!

I am brand new to this area as is Leo, my wonderful Bichon/Maltese pup. I needed to find a place that we are both comfortable with both for daycare and grooming. We found that place at Pet Mahal. Leo is my Service Dog and is very attached to me so I was concerned that it might take him some time to warm up to a brand new experience. I didn't need to worry, he has done very well and really seems to enjoy his down time and open play. The grooming he has received is also excellent and the homemade food they offer is wonderful, even with Mr.Leo who happens to be very very picky. Thank you Pet Mahal for you wonderful care. It has made our move to a new place a little more enjoyable

Do you have a bereavement policy? I kennel my two dogs Kieran and Kellie and the staff is wonderful and accommodating. However, while in Mexico we learned that my brother passed and had to leave my dogs 5 additional days due to having to reroute.

Hi Kyle, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. We do not have a bereavement policy at present. Thank you for checking with us. We will certainly be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

Abby was short and came off as rude, buuuuttt at the location she and all the staff were so kind. Perhaps they just get busy on the phone. Glad I didn't choose our other option. I also called multiple times to discuss payments and inform them of her anxiety. My veterinarian confirmed she is not an aggressive dog but can be protective in my presence. To also mention- my veterinarian (knowing how my dog is) actually recommended that I take my dog to Charleston Dog House, so I truly thought my dog would be in great hands with her anxious tendencies. When we arrived, the atmosphere was chaotic, with loud and unsettling animal noises. To my shock, I observed a staff member screaming at the dogs. My dog, understandably anxious, began barking and hiding behind me. A staff member attempted to reach for her despite her clear discomfort. My dog barked but did not lunge--an interaction I witnessed directly. The staff's response was unprofessional, with one member yelling and another observing her as though she were a major issue. After completing the paperwork, I was told rudely that they would call me in 5-10 minutes to decide if my dog could stay, depending on her behavior. This possibility had never been mentioned before, which was especially concerning as I was about to leave for a trip to Florida. Feeling uneasy, I returned to my car, where I began to cry--both because of how scared my dog was and how cold and unhelpful the staff had been. Just two minutes later, a staff member knocked on my car window to demand I retrieve my dog because she wouldn't move from the lobby. They gave her no time to adjust and didn't even offer to let me walk her back to help ease the transition. I explained to the staff that this situation was incredibly stressful and inconvenient, as I was set to leave for Florida within the hour. I shared that our vet has handled my dog without me present and described her as calm once I'm out of sight. None of this seemed to matter. What upset me further was when my father called to inquire about a solution. The staff falsely claimed my dog was jumping on and biting them--something they never mentioned to me at any point. This misrepresentation of events and lack of transparency were unacceptable. Fortunately, I was able to find another facility in Walt Disney World that, within five minutes, made me feel far more at ease than Charleston Dog House ever did. The difference in professionalism and compassion was night and day. Charleston Dog House turned my dog away after only two minutes, citing "separation anxiety" without attempting any accommodations. Their lack of patience, compassion, and professionalism caused undue stress for both me and my dog. I would not recommend this facility to anyone, especially those with anxious or first-time boarding dogs.

First, I want to give credit where it is due: the facility itself is immaculate, organized, and appears to be very well run. It is clear that a great deal of care goes into maintaining the space, and from that perspective, I was genuinely impressed. That said, there were a few things that gave me pause. During my visit, the staff-to-dog ratio appeared, at least from what I could observe, to be somewhat disproportionate. There were several dogs in areas that seemed to be unsupervised, which made me a little uncomfortable. I will also say, however, that there appeared to be adequate cameras throughout the facility that were viewable from the lobby, and I personally observed Charlie respond quickly to intervene when a situation arose. That was reassuring and is worth noting. My biggest concern, however, was the evaluation process and my interaction with Charlie. To be fair, I would not describe him as outright rude or openly condescending (as noted in other reviews). However, I left feeling that much of our conversation centered on his own credentials, experience, and knowledge of dog training and behavior rather than on listening to my input about my particular dog, Jack. As Jack's owner, I had hoped for more of a collaborative conversation about his personality and behavior. Charlie called me approximately 2 hours into Jack's evaluation period. I was told (and could hear over the phone) that Jack was barking incessantly and this could be stressful for the other dogs and staff. Charlie advised that I consider using a bark collar. I questioned how I may train on this as I do not see this type of behavior in his normal day-to-day life. His response was, "He doesn't ever bark?" The tone struck me as cold and somewhat snide, and it felt dismissive rather than like an attempt to better understand my perspective. I was also uncomfortable with the suggestion of introducing a bark collar. This is something I have never used with Jack in his five+ years, and the idea of introducing something entirely new to him while he is already adjusting to an unfamiliar facility and environment gave me pause. To me, it seemed possible that adding an unfamiliar and punitive device during what could already be a stressful experience might create more stress and give my dog a very negative association with the facility. I offered to come and pick Jack up immediately but was told I needed to wait until the lobby reopened. I fully understand that dog daycare and boarding facilities have to maintain standards for safety and the well-being of all animals and staff. I also understand that not every environment is the right fit for every dog. However, I would encourage anyone with a dog who is not perfectly trained, is anxious, vocal, or simply behaves differently in unfamiliar environments to ask plenty of questions and make sure this is the right fit for their pet. This may be an excellent facility for some dogs and owners. It is certainly one of the cleanest and most professional-looking facilities I have seen. But for me, the overall experience left me feeling that there may be limited patience or flexibility for dogs who don't immediately fit a particular behavioral expectation. I wanted to share my experience and hope this is useful information for other pet parents when deciding where to place a dog they love.

I battled with turning around and picking my dogs up immediately. Told myself I was overreacting but after reading other reviews and doing my own research, many others have had the same experience. He has a horrible attitude problem - caught him rolling his eyes to fellow employees at my puppy bc she was crying when we first walked in. His dog barked in my dogs face and he said my puppy came on too strong. Aggressively ordered me to change seats. I tried being relatable to him and made a comment about his dogs (I had the same when I was younger) and he rolled his eyes and acted like it was the dumbest thing he's ever heard and I was wasting his time. He is very condescending and rude- probably should be nowhere near customer service. Something felt very cold and off about him and I have to go with my gut and keep him away from my dogs! We will not be returning. The establishment itself is well kept and clean. My dogs appeared to have had a great time via Instagram - just wish they had a kinder person working the front desk! Hope this helps someone!
