We also had the trees grinded. The staff was friendly that came to take care of the trees. They were detailed oriented, careful, and did a great job cleaning up. We were also provided photos once everything was complete. I had found this company on Google and the positive reviews is what stood out to me. I can understand why they have such amazing reviews. We will definitely use this company in the future for all our tree needs. So glad we found them.

The second time was for more expansive work which included sod removal and replacement for about 1/2 of my front yard. I had some specific but reasonable requests. The owner James/Jim agreed to them upfront. Jim said they'd have the job completed in 3 days. They came out on Thursday, June 19th and removed the sod. But not as instructed. Spoke to Jim said they'd be out the next day but it never happened. They returned again on July 2nd with the sod. Jim's "henchman," literally threw the sod down making no attempt to align with the previous piece. Many pieces of the sod were terrible. Dead and rotting. (I've personally resodded my yards on 3 occasions so know how to lay sod and to be able to discern good sod from bad.) of course the bad sod was not his fault but he initially wanted me to deal with the sod company. I told him no, that he chose the vendors and that it was his responsibility. They were to also reduce the size of landscape island which was in the shape of an hour glass to about 1/3 of its size. I told him I wanted the old pine bark raked out so the new sod would take. Again, "no problem, according to Jim. Take a guess who ended up taking it out right! After weeks of excuse after excuse on why they couldn't return with the replacement sod (he had a doctors appt and then a dentist appt and then had to travel to see his mother, the sod company was out of sod-I called to confirm and of course that was not the case) they retuned but only after threatening to take him to court. In summary a job that was suppose to take 3-4 days ended up taking 33 business days to "partially" complete as I finally gave up. Jim comes across as an amiable guy but is just a blowhard. Do not use this outfit for anything but simple irrigation work. If you do, you'll regret it.

Received the estimate after a day and based on that and some other concerns we had aesthetics wise, we modified our plans and he came out a second time to recalculate. Received that new estimate the next day and we okayed it. He scheduled the delivery date for the day before the work was to begin. He had a discussion with the delivery company and they felt uncomfortable driving the forklift and pallets over our septic system, so they delivered at the street. The workers showed up the next day and finished under five hours. So happy we had it done!

Then last night while I was hundreds of miles out of town I got a call from someone named James who said he works for Sunbelt and wanted to come do the work this morning at 8 am. I informed him that I could return by 11 am as I had a very long drive ahead. He agreed to get started and I would be there by 11 to pay him. We discussed in detail what I wanted done. The original quote also had the exact job written on it. I start my 8+hour drive home and make it there by 10:30 am. No one is here! No one answers the phones. No one returned my voicemails! I hired a different pest control company and tried to cancel with 5 Star and they just informed me if I cancel now (my contract is up in December) that they would take away my 5% discount for paying a year in advance and would owe them. I will never use that company again.

Then they notified me 3-16-18 of service. Still only mowed and edged. Didn't show up on 3-23-18. Then notified me of service on 3-30-18. Didn't weed eat and didn't trim hedges. I called and spoke to owner. He came out next day and trimmed hedges and weed eat. I canceled service on 4-2-18. Now i received a bill for 40.00 service on 3-16-18. Then another 40.09 service for 3-30-18. Plus TAX. I've never paid tax for labor. Only paying the 40.00 more dollars to complete my 80.00 a month agreement. Will not recommend again This is how the company responded Here's the actual way things work. Invoices are sent on the first Friday of every month. They all go out at one time. They are spread out so if you don't get it on Friday you will get it sometime in the next couple days after. All work up to that point is billed as the previous month. So the 3-2 job was on a Friday so it counted as the last month. So 40 for that is correct. Then we service your yard twice this month. So $40 per service would give you the $80 a month. As far as sales tax.... umm why would I pay your taxes? Some one will end up paying those taxes if you don't. The fact that you "have never paid tax on labor" is just you not understanding the charges you received. I can hide the tax and charge more or just label it as tax. Any amount not paid after 30 days will begin to accrue interest. I deal with people all the time who think they aren't going to pay. You want to cancel that's fine. I agree. But don't try me on a public forum and then expect me to just bend to your will and only accept half of what you owe me.
