Just come to The Growler - especially if you are camping at Sardis Lake on your visit to Oxford. This place is friendly and the food, beer and service is wonderful!

Amazing place to catch up, get some work done, and hang out with friends. The growler has some amazing nachos, really cool and constantly changing selection, and nice local vibe. I love coming here for hours at a time to either drink with some friends or read a nice book. 10/10

By the time our food was ready, we just decided to bring it home since it took a while! However, if you are looking for a sit down dinner spot, I'm not sure that's the place for you! They also have an area you can sit outside! It did smell pretty strongly of smoke, so we ended up sitting inside! The employees were all very kind and nice! The burgers are medium-sized, but they also offer a double burger option. I usually choose the regular cheeseburger, but this time I tried the "Chiflet," made with Snake River Farms Wagyu beef and topped with applewood smoked bacon, egg, and American cheese on a potato bun. Absolutely delicious! They also feature a daily burger special, which keeps the menu interesting. The crinkle fries are consistently hot and pair perfectly with the burgers. On top of that, they offer a great selection of both imported and domestic beers. The staff is always super friendly. Overall, it's a great spot to grab a burger, hang out, and enjoy the atmosphere.

I had the Dr. Gonzo burger which had a burger patty, Swiss cheese, grilled onions, and bacon. Great choice of yummy ingredients to make a solid burger. The burger is kind of small but I was full after inhaling the fried and perfectly seasoned crinkle cut fries. The fry sauce was a total Hit! Service was good. Our server Becky was very friendly and helpful. The place has tables and chairs and high top tables too. The bar is dark but they do have some picnic tables near the entrance for more light. Bathrooms were clean and had a lot of personal signatures and art. I am going to return to get a different kind of burger.

Peep my pics for some funny shots of your random white boy synchrony in nature. I have had several meetings out here as well. They do serve some small plates and other items to snack on during normal times. They do have some inside seating as well, but I dig the patio. They always seem to have something special, most unique, and damn tasty on their taps. My wife loves finding the fruity and funky beers that will carry. Me.... Just give me a damn IPA and let's move right along. Once, she had a beer thick with orange pulp and it as the most unique brew I have ever tasted. She has been chasing it since to no avail. To me, it was shit, to her, it was the next pinnacle to which nothing else has compared since. We come during Cooper Young Festival every year and the service can be a bit snippy and rushed. It actually pisses me off sometimes. I do understand the need to get people through the place quickly, but you can do so without being as curt and laconic. We will return, without a doubt. I do love beer. My only suggestion would be a corral of puppies to pet while you get wasted. That would be pretty rad, maybe like a puppy rental system could work. '24 - 3/100
