The best drinks in Oxford-hands down. However the delivery of the food baffles me every visit. Order chips and queso? The queso comes out at least 5 mins before your chips. Order fajitas....be prepared to get your sides before your meat even comes out. Soup as an app? Will come out after your entire meal. This is easily some of the worst "Mexican" food I've ever eaten in my life. I've been here numerous times back when they were located on South Lamar and now that they've moved to the square. The only thing they have going for them is the above average ambiance. Service is always slow and this place is overpriced. The queso is so runny it's basically just milk in a dipping cup. I asked for tajin for my chips one time and the server literally didn't even know what that is- talk about hiring boring basic people who don't know their ass from their elbow *eyeroll*. The tacos are dry and flavorless. The street corn wasn't seasoned or roasted correctly. The margaritas are way too sour and not drinkable- tasted like premade mix. We went there after the Thacker mountain Radio show and it was packed . My husband had the fish tacos and I had enchiladas verdes and we both had their margaritas on the rocks . It was not exactly like my fave Tex Mex in Houston but for oxford - it was pretty darn good . Their margaritas are terrific and the Mexican rice was pretty perfect . As a Texan patron, I vote this the best Mexican food in Oxford! The service is always amazing! Latrice has always greeted us with warm hospitality! Our first experience there she waited on us and it was crazy busy but you would never have known that by the way she handles the floor. It took me 26 minutes to get there after calling several times because its not listed correctly. Once I finally got my food, I mentioned needing a shot matter of factly. The bartender obliged expressing empathy for my fiasco. Then charged me for it. Lol whut? I finally get back to my room and my to go order has no utensils napkins or condiments. Yall had 30 minutes to make sure it was packed up, what was the reason? foods bomb. Customer service and stability of the business itself, not so much. Great food and drinks! And location since it's on Oxford Square. I am here on a Wednesday and the poor bar tender is all on her own. ZERO help. She is not only serving the entire 12 top bar but also making drinks for everyone in the entire restaurant. It's not her fault she is providing poor service to those sitting at the bar. She simple cannot do it all on her own. As someone who has worked in management positions before, I would never allow this to happen! This is NOT a poor review of the bartender. My only problem I've had here is the inconsistency of service and food. For the last couple of months I've been here a bunch of times and I've had two horrible experiences. Cute little contempo place near our hotel in Oxford. The Chile Relleno was very good and the portion was huge! Too huge for my taste, but that's me. The service was friendly and quick and the decor was fun and energizing. There is some outdoor seating, but the weather wasn't cooperating so we ate indoors. The only complaint is the margaritas. Nothing but a glass full of ice and a faint taste of sour( couldn't tell if it was a pre-mix or lime because it was very watery. Uno Mas is a restaurant in the square of Oxford. It has incredible location, and is a prime destination for a post bar meal. At night, they boast a menu of burritos, quesadillas, and tacos, and you get to choose different ingredients. I got a burrito that only had steak, rice, and queso. I was expecting more in this burrito, with at least some beans, lettuce, or salsa. They had a decent drink menu, as I got a fairly overpriced mojito for $9. It was a good late night spot, but nothing to brag about. They did have great service which made my experience much better. Would recommend for a quick bite, but not if you are expecting a nice dinner. read more

We picked up a carry out order last night. The staff we encountered were nice and cheerful. When we checked the order we were short a taco, and the $8 queso that we ordered was maybe 3 tablespoons. I called in to get a credit for the missing taco and was told no problem, but credit was not applied to the card. For $38 you get 4 small tacos and a small cup of queso,that we not that amazing. read more
