I love Mugshots! Their happy hour is incredible. They have a great student discount, I like the interior and the staff is usually pretty good (sometimes the restaurant can be very slow and take a long time though). I love the fried mushrooms. The food is also top notch. My only complaint is sometimes the clientele can be loud or annoying to be seated around. When I come in and there are loud customers at the bar, it would be nice if they would seat us across the room to at least get a little distance from the noise haha. Otherwise, this is a staple of my week every week after class. It's so fun to go in with friends and have a few drinks, get some good food and yap for a bit. Increase the quality of the service (I hate when I order a drink and it doesn't show up for 20-30 minutes) and this is an EASY 5 star experience. I can't complain. I always like the food and everyone is friendly. The ambience is good....nothing was off putting. The inferno wrap is fabulous and the cheese wedges are spectacular. Casual bar setting without the stale beer smell. The large seating booths are not a good fit for people that are not very thin. The food was very flavorful with interesting fkavor combinations. The service was OK, but lacking. We were visiting at a very slow time of their day. The kitchen did a good job, but the bar was a black hole for orders to get sucked into. Extremely disappointed and very dissatisfied, I will NEVER recommend this establishment to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Let's start with the insane price of $15.00 for a basic burger! Not even anything fancy or tasty, just a hunk of burnt meat and a soggy bun. $5.00 for a "cup" of chili that was cold and maybe 3 tablespoons of chili. Added extra bacon on the A1 burger which was never put on but sure did charge me for. No napkins in the bag was the lesser of the issue but nonetheless it's a to go order, put napkins in the bag!!! read more

I visited this establishment on June 12th 2026. my daughters and I were greeted nicely and immediately seated at a high top in the bar area. Our waiter came over to greet us took our drink orders. Her Name is Kiah She then returned to tell us she would not be serving us and pointed into two different directions with an aggressive tone stating we can sit in one of the areas she pointed and aggressively said again she would not be serving us. my daughters and I waited to see if our drinks would be brought back over instead we were greeted by a new waiter by the name of Morgan who was extremely sweet got our drink orders for now the second time but also took our food order, as Morgan was finishing us Kiah proceeded to come back to the table rudely cut Morgan off and told her we needed to move. As you can imagine Morgan had other tables to see too and I politely asked the guy who sat us there originally about where Morgan Section was no one was too specific next thing I know the shift leader Chris approached me saying that we either move or we leave . He was slightly aggressive as well when I was just trying to see where our new server section was. I had already paid for my childs food so rightfully so we Just moved. We were visiting from Nashville and ordered food from Mugshots 2x in the last 4 days. Their food was that good. Restaurant and bathrooms were really clean and host/servers were pleasant. I ordered the mahi sandwich with fried pickles and husband got the Savell burger with topped tots and rotel. It was so good we had to come back again before we left. We will be sure to visit again next time we're in Oxford. read more

I wanted so much to love it here. The other reviews were correct - the floors are sticky. We waited 20 minutes along with another couple for a table when there was almost no one there. The server wrote our order down because she could not find her digital thing. It took soooo long for our food to come out. My daughter ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap (I forgot what they call it), and it came out with no Buffalo sauce. I ordered the Hillbilly Philly. I asked for no Mayo and added mushrooms. It came out with Mayo. I told the server. She took it back. It came back without the mayo, but with no mushrooms and just a little bit of cold Philly meat. I finally just paid the bill and left. I'm not sure that I will be returning. read more

Walking in, the place was very clean and the hostess was nice. My wife ordered a Southern burger and I got the Big KaHuna burger. We started off with southwest egg rolls that were delicious. First off our burgers were ok. They weren't as juicy as the other mugshots locations as I remember. Overall, it's a decent place for a different type of burger. read more

My experience at Mugshots was relatively forgettable -- I ordered the Patty Melt with a side of "beer-battered" fries. The burger was okay, typical of something I've had at a backyard barbecue. Unfortunately, the comeback sauce was nearly nonexistent, so I'm glad that I asked for a side of honey mustard. It was probably the most noteworthy flavor of my meal. The beer-battered fries seemed like standard steak fries from the freezer, but they weren't bad. The service and atmosphere were both fine. But overall, nothing stood out as being that tasty or memorable. With as many great restaurants as there are in Oxford, I probably wouldn't rush back to Mugshots. read more

Gonna be honest... If you have 2 hours to kill on a Sunday night with maybe 4 tables occupied then come one come all. Service was weak at best. 55+ minutes to get food, never got refills and finally we had to ask for our checks because no one came to check on us.
