Paid to have a guitar repaired there. Was told it was fixed and the issue was not actually…read moreaddressed at all. The issue was that one of the pickups was quiet in the middle position. I was told when I went to pick it up that they couldn't find anything wrong other than a small piece of metal that they removed must have been cutting the sound out (did not test the guitar in the store just took their word). Come to find out, when I got it home, that the issue is the switch and that both pickups don't come on until the switch is midway between the middle and bridge position...you would think that when paying for a repair this is something they would figure out easily. Complete waste of money. I also asked them to take a look at a fret-buzz and they fully forgot so that was also somewhat annoying (I paid for a setup and repair). Guitar was exactly the same when I got it back down to the same exact fret-buzz. I was so dissatisfied that I refused to even drive back there to get a refund. Ultimately, untrustworthy. I believe whoever did the "repair" was deceitful to me. Now in all fairness, this was a few years back and the same people may not be working there anymore...I just thought of it again when I had to repair the exact same issues myself.

I thought that maybe the string was low in the nut, and buzzing on a fret. I just could not find the problem. This guy ( the owner) played my guitar and told me that the problem was the INTONATION. What ? Intonation ? What does Intonation have to do with a buzzing problem ? Answer, NOTHING . This guy makes guitars, I bet they are fine guitars. He may even take more time when making them than a larger producer of guitars. AND, maybe the intonation on my Martin is not perfectm, so be it. BUT, his attitude was evident to me. He had a disrespect for my Martin. He just wanted to critize it for not being perfectly intonated. ( potentially ). I later found out where the buzz was comming from, and it had nothing to do with intonation. Several months befor this, I took a friend there to have work done on a stand up bass. On that day he showed me one of his guitars. I told him about my martin that day. I thik he remembered me when I came back with my Martin, and just wanted me to feel like " you should have bought one of mine, and not that mass produced Martin. I thik this is a bad attitude And that attitude blinded him to finding the real problem with my guitar. I will never visit his shop again , nor recomend him to anyone.

But it's their service that really shines. They kept my game safe in storage for over 8 months until I was ready to take delivery. When I said go, they personally trucked in my game from Pennsylvania to the Chicagoland area with friendly TLC set-up. I had a flipper bumper band snap over the weekend so I called them, spoke with Jay, and he hooked me up with a pair of new ones ASAP. He dropped them in the mail within an hour free of charge. I have dealt with other refurbished machines and this was the best one that I have received when it comes to operation and aesthetic of the machine. Also, it did not go unnoticed of how helpful and friendly Gene and Jay were. I forget the other mechanics name ***SORRY*** but they were all fantastic. We had a slight bump in the road with the card reader but they did not allow me to leave the facility until it was fixed and in less than 20 minutes they figured it out and was good to go. Emailed them a couple days later about installation of additional parts on the machine that I wanted installed and promptly responded with DETAILED explanation of how to install myself. Will be coming back to do business for any and probably all my further needs in the gaming industry and I am from NYC. That should speak volumes on its own. Thanks fellas! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
