I highly recommend this business for Conceal and Carry classes, personal training, practicing and purchases. The employees go above and beyond and this is uncommon with a lot of businesses today. I didn't even make it into the range to see what it was like. 1st. No steel cased ammo, aluminum cased ammo or hollow point ammo. (My take is you can't pick up you own brass after shooting.). Academy Sports sells Winchester 9mm handgun ammo cheap, couldn't use. 2nd. You have to be a member to shoot. $15 annual membership. I guess they don't like negative feedback. They didn't even tell me how much it costs per hour to shoot. You can't shoot if you are not a member! 3rd. Posted my displeasure on Facebook and they removed my post. Since I live between Topeka and Junction City, I wanted to try The Gun Garage, just to see if I liked it. I will keep going to Godfrey's Range and Tactical store in Junction City. The Gun Garage is a nice looking place. The store inside looks as though it has a lot to offer. But with all the restrictions I will not step foot in there again. read more

The staff are a group of amazing people, and they know their stuff. My husband and I took the Conceal and Carry Class and we really enjoyed it and learned NOT to shoot the person who is trying to steal your car out of your driveway. We learned a lot of information that was vital with the responsibility of owning a gun. My husband and I also purchased our handguns at Gun Garage. Prices are very reasonable. We went to the gun garage a couple of weeks ago. We're kind of novices with the particular weapons we were wanting to fire. I asked the man at the counter a lot of questions and he gladly answered them all. He even went so far as to walk us through everything involved in using the range and gave us some more help by tweaking some of our methods to make them better. It was a great experience. They are relaxed and pleasant but you know at the same time that they will brook no nonsense about people breaking the rules. read more

It's a Fudd Club. Membership and range fees are outrageous....as well as their rules to use only brass, which you are not allowed to collect. High prices. Disinterested sales staff. Will often tell you one thing on the phone and something else entirely when you go to the store. read more

When Gun Garage opened I was very excited because of the lack of good ranges for those of us that live within city limits. The store's firearm selection is large and prices seem very fair. The range itself is very clean and modern, well worth the membership for it. The owner and his wife are very nice and welcoming, and they really seem to enjoy running the business. However, I will comment on behavior by the business's co-owner/investor who staffs the sales floor. I like to talk to staff at businesses I frequent, or plan to frequent, to get to know them. Maybe this is a mistake on my part. So, I got talking to the co-owner, and this was the first time meeting him, and work came up. I mentioned my employer and profession and things started to go south. I get it, I'm young, only 26, so there are things I don't fully understand about the world and such and I am always trying to keep an open mind, and I do not often know what happened in the past. However, I have never had anyone start berating me and insulting my coworkers and my profession (I am a civil engineer in training) by staff, or co-owner, of a business. The conversation managed to calm down a bit, but I was shocked that a co-owner would say what he did to a customer about their coworkers and profession. A lot of my coworkers are involved in the gun community. Many have talked about visiting Gun Garage because of the aforementioned lack of good ranges in town, and I've told them good things about Gun Garage before. I doubt they would appreciate such treatment. This is not how you treat customers, especially being such a new business in town. I am not sure if I will return. read more
