I recently went to Parkville Mini Golf for the first time. It was okay overall. I agree with a lot of the other reviews that the course is a bit cramped and worn down in some areas. There aren't any 'fun' sort of obstacles such as a windmill or anything like that. It's pretty basic. Came here on a beautiful fall afternoon, which really helped with this 5 star review. afternoon,It was easy to pay and get our clubs and get going. it took us about an hour and 15 minutes to complete 18 holes. Sure there were people behind us waiting to play through, I think that's true with about any mini golf course. and yes the greens are beat up and have green tape covering up a lot of the tears. but it's $10 for an hour's worth of entertainment, kind of hard to complain about that. Great family atmosphere. Very close walking distance to close by parks, restaurants, and shops. Course was clean and well maintained, even if it is older. It was busy on a Sunday afternoon, so I would suggest going earlier than later if you have littles and want to get through quickly. Ice cream stand on site is super nice, with plenty of seating options. Parking is around back, so if it's full on the street parking, drive up the hill and you can walk down to it. It's mini golf and it's in Parkville. The course is in a cool and quaint little spot on the main drag in downtown Parkville. You'll see it when you enter town. It's a little challenging, but not too difficult, so it won't scare away young or novice players. Green fees are reasonable. I recommend grabbing an ice cream cone or a float at the 19th hole after you complete your round. It is showing its age. The turf is a little worn and is tearing away in some spots. Some of the holes are a little lopsided too. No bother, this is fun for all ages. I had a good time and look forward to returning. read more

The best part of this mini golf course is that it is set up above the rest of the businesses on that road. It's neat to feel like you are on top of the world as you are playing golf, and of course there are great views! It is your basic mini golf course, nothing too fancy. It could use some work, but don't all mini golf places? There is some parking at the top of the hill by the entrance, but I have never been lucky enough to get one of those spots. Tonight I had a horrible experience at this place. I had family in town who decided to treat my children, mother and I too miniature golf to spend time together and have fun! It was 4 adults, 1 teenager and 4 children under 9. The place was packed and we had to wait around 10 minutes to even start for their was a continuous line on each hole. Upon wrapping up just the 1st hole the owner in front of a ton of people mind you, yells at our party loudly that we need to break it up and only 5 hits per person. We were shocked that she was talking to us specifically but explained we knew that and we were split up. One team had 5 one teSo as we get to each whole there is people in front and people behind us. Literally everyone had to wait. I'm turn no one seemed to be upset or complaining but all guest having a good time. We were even talking to the people behind us as they were adoring our little ones. At hole 13 we hear someone yelling at us "LADIES!!! You need to hurry it up!!! There is only 5 tries per person! You need to keep it going! There is a line waiting!" At this point everyone stops and is shocked at the scene she is making also that she is whole heartedly singling me, my 2 daughters one whom one is 5, mother and sister out! So I reply "Mamm we are aware of the rules to which we have compiled! We are waiting as well to move along! Why do you keep sunglingbus out. We havnt once taken more than the 5 tries per any person! We have laid like everyone else and do not understand why you are yelling at us!" To which she rolled her eyes and walked off. My family and I were extremely upset and it totally ruined the rest our our time. We all felt nervous like we needed to rush even though we couldn't due to the line we were waiting. It was super embarrassing and absolutely unwarranted. Afterward I personally went up to her and asked her why she singled us out and she replied she watched us in the camera the whole time and we took too long. I explained we took the allocated amount of time and if she watched the cameras so closely she would have seen none of us ever took more than the 5 turns. I explained her behavior was not good business or customer service and my family and I did not appreciate it. Basically she didn't care and shut the window on us. I will never again go here and wouldn't suggest anyone else to do so also especially if you are in a group! read more

There is something special about Parkville, it just feels quaint. I really appreciate the small-town feeling of Parkville Mini Golf. The course is interesting and sits above the main street in downtown so the view is beautiful. The holes are not very well taken care of and could use a little maintenance, which they might be working on because the fountain was shut down for work when we were there. Some of the holes are very hard, partially because the ground is uneven. But the atmosphere outweighs the need for maintenance. It's great for a date or family outing. Go next door to the Power Plant for a beer on the roof afterwards. read more

Family Fun! Went with a group, we broke up in to smaller groups and played the course! It is a fun and unique course! It appears they are in the process of a "facelift" and many items are getting fresh paint. There are a few sections of the course that need repair but it seems managemnt is in process. THE PRICE WAS EXCELLENT! We had a group so we were offered the group rate. $5.00 per person for the course AND ICE CREAM! The portion was VERY reasonable! Was very disappointed with the condition of the course. Torn or deteriorating greens throughout course (we were told they plan to update them... Sounds like typical lip service dating back to a 2012 Yelp Review), making the course even more challenging. Landscaping overgrown (including the presence of poison ivy as I was warned by another golfer). And, lots of stairs! Local radio station piped throughout and can be heard sans any train traffic.This place has a lot of potential. Parkville's mini golf is overall decent. The price is reasonable at $5 per person. They give you a pretty nice score card with rules (if you choose to follow them). The holes are okay, a bit bare in my opinion, but maybe it was due to the late Winter of 2013 causing them to shut down on their decor. I assume there are some fountains that would be on when the weather is nicer. There are a few really fun holes, but most of the holes are quite flat and a bit boring. I still hope to find a mini golf place that has a bunch of tricks and mechanisms that you have to go through. They also didn't have any ice cream, which was a bit disappointing because I always picture a mini golf place with ice cream -- who remembers the Rugrats episode where they go mini golfing and search for the huge ice cream sundae? read more

I really like this place. It's not huge and it's not campy. Don't expect spinning windmills or gaudy statues to manuever around. It's bare-bones, but manages to be pretty darn challenging. Both my husband and I managed one Hole in One each (different holes), and we both hit the max number of strokes once. It's up on a hill, so you do get a nice breeze. Still, if it's a sunny day beware that there isn't a lot of shade and it can get really hot. They sell candy and ice cream in their little shop and the prices for golf and ice cream are reasonable.
