BEWARE!! Waited for a shotgun to arrive in and today received an email stating it arrived. I went online and it did indeed show in stock so I made the purchase online and paid for it in full. Then received a note saying I'd be contacted when it's ready to be picked up so we can go the transfer. Few hours later I received a call saying the the gun was no longer in stock.... but they had a used one, same model on consignment that they could sell me for $400 more!! Bait n switch appears to be going on here!! I then checked and the gun I bought and paid in full for was... no longer in stock!! UPDATE. just as I suspected the same gun became available a few days later.... with a $500 price increase!! Nice move guys. You lost a first time customer who will now never step foot in your store. Easily one of the worse shops in MA. Every gun they sell is extremely over-priced. I've been to a lot of the stores in MA because it's hard to find anything in stock, and every time I find something I'm interested in here is significantly over-priced. Their ammo prices are also terrible. The staff can be nice enough, but the owner is an awful businessman. I'm not sure how they trick so many people into buying from them. Just picked up my LTC a couple of days ago and was itching to but my first handgun. I chose the Gun Parlor as it seemed to have a decent selection and it was relatively close to home. The shop is set up wonderfully and is organized neatly. A very clean store in general. I was immediately greeted upon entering. I explained I was a first time firearms buyer and that I essentially didn't know the entire process of purchasing my first handgun. I assumed I would be treated differently because I was "new" to the Gun scene, but no! They were extremely friendly and extremely helpful. The whole purchasing process was quick and smooth. I hate to say I can't remember the name of the man who helped me, but he deserves some recognition. He was very attentive, answered all of my questions, and sold me on my dream gun. Though I didn't get a chance to check out the range, the rest of the store and staff were great. I'll definitely be returning! read more

My spouse and I attended a paid Firearm LTC course on Aug 8 at "The Gun Parlor" located on 170 Prescott st, Worcester, MA. As we walked into the classroom 10 min ahead of time, we immediately realized that being 6' apart isn't a possibility - the classroom table arrangement just didn't allow for that. As if that wasn't not enough, they oversold the class. There were approximately 28 people in a classroom that fits 20 at most during normal times. We took our seats on a couple folding chairs with our backs against the rear wall. There was not even arm's length b/w us and the people in front of us. Customers continued to arrive for the next 25 min while the instructor (Mark) was keeping himself busy calling each attendee asking for their name and DOB. So everyone, men and women alike had to say their name and DOB to Mark in the presence of a bunch strangers. The instructor and about a half of the attendees were not wearing masks or came without. As soon as the course started, I waved my hand and asked if we can all agree that everybody should wear a mask. I was totally dismayed by the loud, rude and condescending reaction from Mark the instructor who immediately turned volume up and angrily said that he cannot require people to wear masks if they don't want to. As if it's not a private business where they themselves make the rules. As if Gov. Baker and dept of Labor mandated face covering regulations are some kind of a recommendation for the likes of Mr Mark to choose and decide if to adhere or not. He then loudly and defiantly asked us to leave if we feel uncomfortable. The whole class turned their heads and stared at us. I didn't know what to say as the situation unraveled very quickly. While I froze in place trying to make up my mind, Mark loudly announced that because we aren't leaving he now has no choice, but to terminate the class. Some attendees started booing. In the next moment Mark was telling somebody on the phone that he's going to tell everybody to go home. I don't know who he called, if he even called.... As I was driving home and playing back the scene over and over again in my head, I came to a realization that what Mr. Mark pulled off was a script he prepared ahead of time. He clearly knew that somebody ought to make a request like we made and he had his script ready: refuse, ask to leave, if not leaving force them by inciting the public against those people. I cannot think for a moment that it wasn't prepared ahead of time and not approved by the manager/owner. After a minute I asked my wife if she's ready to leave and we left. The public in the class cheered and applauded as we were walking out. We then walked into the shop to request refund and noticed that none of the 3 employees in the store were wearing face covering of any kind. We then approached store manager Justin Lima who issued us our refunds. He was calm and polite and offered a private LTC course. He said that he's sorry and that the overbooked classroom is the fault of the company managing their website. I always listen to what people say, but I don't believe everything I'm told. Total brazen disrespect to the state and governor rules and regulations regarding prevention of COVID-19 by The Gun Parlor. read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place for any purchases I made the mistake of coming here to purchase my first firearm. Not only did I drastically overpay, but I wasn't given what I paid for. I bought a brand new Shadow Sytems handgun for $1400 and The Gun Parlor refused to give me 2 magazines that are supposed to come with the gun. The gun I purchased is a 17+1 and I understand MA Compliance does not allow anything larger than 10 round magazines. I am fine with them switching the 17rd shadow systems magazine to an MA compliant 10rd Glock mag... But I am not okay with them only giving me ONE and refusing to give me the second one that comes with every shadow systems gun. I emailed Shadow Systems customer support and they stated all their firearms come with TWO magazines. After emailing customer support, I went down to the Gun Parlor to ask for my second magazine and I was denied. Great job, Gun Parlor! You lost a customer over a $20 magazine. read more

I Went to this firearms dealer for the first time recently. No one is going to argue with me regarding my experience here. I purchased my first firearm in Montville, CT 50 years ago. Since them, I have lived all over New England and have shopped and purchased firearms in; ME, NH, VT, RI, CT, MA and ny. Multiple locations in every state with the exception of ny. This store is immaculate, clean and well maintained. The staff members are knowledgeable, courteous and above all professional. There was no question that I had that went unanswered. I tossed a few "bait questions" (not fair or proper to do, but I did it.) to one employee who was at least 25 years younger than me. he answered both of them correctly and with one question added information that I did not know! I am not a know it all, I just have years of experience with firearms. Having relocated to this area and wanting to find a new firearms dealer, I visited many stores in a large radius. This was the #1 store for me. While there I made purchase of a long gun. The process was easy and went smoothly. The selection of both long guns and handguns was better than the other stores that I visited in the MA areas. The prices were consistent with other stores and in some instances better. I understand that all customers can not be made happy at all times. I read these reviews before going to the store and that is in part why I mentioned how CLEAN and SANITIZED it is kept. I recommend this store to anyone who would like a clean, no pressure and informed purchase. read more

Drove here all the way from RI to see what selection they had. I'm a Hispanic woman and my boyfriend is Native American but dark.. upon entering their retail store, I felt very uncomfortable walking into the store. We weren't greeted by any employees, but people after (mostly Caucasian) were greeted. My boyfriend was looking at a few guns and had asked an employee what ones they were and the employee was very rude and seemed uninterested in helping. The vibe was just very uncomfortable. Felt like my every move was being watched and I also felt that because we weren't the color of the majority people shopping (white) we were being judged. I'm a *former* Gun Parlor customer now, regretting every red cent I've spent with them. By my count that's two Sigs and a very expensive pre94 rifle, not to mention the little stuff like accessories and ammo. A handful of thousands, at least - I can't put a hard number on it. Frankly I'm not comfortable doing business with an FFL who fundamentally misunderstands the laws of this state, and I don't know who would be given the level of scrutiny gun owners are under now by government, media, and the public at large. Simply put it seems like a risk to do business with this store now, in addition to being a distasteful experience due to their bad business practices... That includes helping to smear a competitor, and propagating a myth about MA firearm laws by providing a sound stage, props, and quotes for a hit piece against them. Your customers don't JUST shop with you, and loyalty ends at your treatment of both us as customers and your "competitors" with whom we also shop. It also includes their record keeping. Come to find out, if you buy a firearm here your background check information isn't just sent to the appropriate federal agencies but is also CC'ed in full to the Attorney General who has acted outside the law to prosecute and persecute manufacturers, sellers, and owners alike! Justin, you should be ashamed of yourself for not just participating, in but providing material support to those who seek to mistreat, demonize, disenfranchise and abuse your customers. That includes both the media and the state government (outside of what is actually required by MA law). Great selection of guns, they are always adding new inventory and getting the newest cool toys that come out. It's nice to have a good shop that's local instead of having to travel so much. With the decline of a few of the local shops over the years it's great to have them up and rocking. New location just ironed up with a live range, larger selection and overall just a better shop. Still not 5 stars because I bought a WW1 rifle from them that was listed online as having all parts matching, and priced as having all parts matching, only to go home to find it not being at all what was listed(mismatched parts, thick hunk covering the pitted barrel, hairline crack running down the stock). Decent staff though, they cleaned it out for be when I brought it back but I felt so ripped off after getting home I don't think I'll be buying from here ever again. read more

Decent selection, favorable hours. Range is OK. Everything is overpriced even in better times. They can be condescending at times. I ordered a used item on line, that was supposed to be in stock, 11 days later I called about it because I hadn't received a shipping notification. The person on the phone couldn't find my order and recommended I call back the next day. I called back and was told they had oversold the used item and they might be getting more in soon. I got a refund but the right thing to do would have been to either not accept the order or contact me about it instead of me having to call them about it. I'll shop here as a last resort. There are plenty of other shops that are far less expensive and will treat you right. No need to settle for this. read more

I have heard from many people at the gun ranges in the area that have stories like mine. They were either overcharged treated badly lied to or had a gun stolen which is what they did to me. I would not recommend doing business with these lying thieves at all. There are so many comments from people that have similar stories to mine that you should do business elsewhere because of bad this place really is. Bought a Glock from them last year just found out they sold me an after market slide. Not a genuine glock slide. I asked them about why it didn't have any glock markings while i was in the store purchasing it last year. They said "don't worry its glock". last time I will trust this store. The reason I found out it Is my local gun smith actually has the decency and fortitude and told me it looks like an after market slide. unlike this store who is run by Dishonest sleeze balls who will tell you its a Genuine glock slide. btw I called glock to confirm if it was real or not and guess what its NOT Glock. Had a frame transferred there from out of state. I called to see the status, i got a very rude employee "well someone will call you when its here". Checked my tracking it was delivered to the store an hour earlier. Called agin, they told me it takes them 3-4 days to process a new transfer.... they also told me it wasn't delivered, when my tracking stated it was. Its to bad this shop is awful. Its a beautiful facility, but for some reason the owner and employees think there better than everyone. I should have used a different store for this transfer. This is only one of the reasons this store is terrible. If you can help it spend your money else where. read more
