After calling multiple home remodelers to come out for an estimate and none of them showed up, I asked a friend of mine if they knew of any reliable contractors and she told me to call Tri-State Aluminum. Not only did the salesman, Derrick, arrive early...he arrived the day I called. Instead of being overbearing and pushy like most remodelers, he politely listened to what I had to say and briefly interjected with examples or suggestions. He then walked me through the process, explaining the materials, the length of time and answered any questions I had. After all that, he still didn't pressure me to buy but did tell me that if for some reason he didn't get my business, to make sure that any contractor that does work for me is not only licensed, but insured as well. I didn't know that someone could be a contractor without those qualifications! He also said he would go back to his office, draw everything up and contact me with a price when everything was prepared. That afternoon, another contractor finally came out and tried to sign the contract within 15 minutes and kept interrupting me every time I had something to say. I finally said, ok, we'll look over the contract as soon as you show me you are licensed and insured. He wasn't and tried to tell me it wasn't necessary but he had 15 years experience! Well, needless to say, I went with Tri-State Aluminum and they did everything they said they would do and then some. They even fixed another issue I had without charging me for it. I will recommend them to anyone needing home remodeling services. And like Derrick told me his first visit, "All men are created equal, but not all contractors are" and "Remember, the best price ISN'T ALWAYS the cheapest." You get what you pay for and they were definitely worth it.
