I had floor boards that were "warped" (dipped downwards) due to a leaked from the kitchen faucet. I messaged 5 people on Yelp. All of the companies that I messaged replied in a few hours (including The Guy Handyman). Four estimates were between $350-$400. Strangely, The Guy Handyman quoted me $200! (half the price of the other estimates); no way would his quality be as good as the other people, but I didn't care because I just wanted a cheap fix that most guests won't see. The only complaint is that Guy Handyman was fully booked until the next month (seems common according to other Yelp reviewers); so he isn't your go-to handyman to have things fixed immediately. But I wasn't in a hurry to get my floor boards fixed, so I didn't mind. But is this really a complain? He obviously is in high demand. I texted the phone number, and he (who I found out later is his wife) messaged me promptly back and forth, updating me when Guy Handyman could come out. So after 1.5 months, he was able to fix my problem. On that day, he was parked outside my house an hour before my appointment! I had seen a pickup truck outside my house because I had just got off of work, but I didn't think the truck was for my house. 15 minutes later, I went to take out my trash outside, is when he saw me, and I said he could work on my floor boards now. I can't believe how punctual he was, and how nice that he would wait outside until the appointment time (in case I was sleeping maybe? I was inside the house the whole time so I know he didn't ring the doorbell or knock on the door). Anyways, Guy Handyman is also super considerate of your property; he would be sure that he leaves no trash behind, and the door would be closed; he would go in and out because he used an electric saw in his truck to cut the wood to size. He took almost 2 hours for the job; he verbally updated me what he was doing each time (I didn't really care, lol). He also tried making a joke, but saw that I didn't laugh and kept apologizing, lol, I was tired, I am sorry, haha. Quality of his work was amazing, floor boards looked wonderful. I still can't believe his estimate was half of everyone else's. Overall, this guy (Guy Handyman) is the perfect handyman. I just wished someone would clone him, so he only work for me. A few hours after Guy Handyman left my house; his wife (the texter) updated me with an electronic bill to either send a check or Zelle. She also asked for me to leave a Yelp review (lol, so confident that I would leave a good review, huh?); lol, his wife knows how good she and his husband are. I will be sure to hire this guy on my next projects. read more

Out of 5 stars I'd give these guys 10! Jeannine and Bryce were such a blessing to work with. After dealing with Allstate on money from a flood a year ago and not being able to find anyone to help me, these two came through big time. Jeanine had great suggestions on the new baseboards with lots of suggestions on other items which was great since I was out here by myself. Their bid was right smack in the middle of other handymen who buzzed through with little attention to detail and what was included in their bid which is very important come tax time for rentals. Bryce and his partner dug out and removed all my old baseboards that the water remediation team left behind, regrouted from tile to wall since tile had been installed up to the old baseboards and we did not want a channel for bugs to run free, found holes in the stucco where walls had been opened up, repaired and sealed those before replacing the insulation and drywall. Opened up an area by my front door that now had rainwater coming in between wall and threshold, sealed that and replaced the dry wall and damaged door casing. Bryce found a leak in my window while removing some baseboard, and they recalked my window and tested it during the rainstorm. You cannot tell where my walls were cut. Bryce was able to install 4 new cabinets in front of an existing bar including all hardware and owner locks. He spray painted the cabinets for a more professional finish and appearance. They replaced cabinet toe kicks that the remediation team had removed and recalked countertops. Each day all was cleaned up inside and at the end of the job, my entire garage was blown clean before they left. No punch list needed. He was great to work with and even tolerated some of my last minute changes with no upcharge or complaints. Thank all three of you for such a great experience. After a few false starts with other handymen, we're finally moving forward on a big apartment building rehab project. Their first task was to finish up after a flaky painter and they made a dingy apartment look bright and fresh, next up a total refurbish of a sad unit and I cannot wait. I agree with another person who said they would give them a 10+ if it was possible on this site. There are no words to express my appreciation for the job Bryce, Jeannine and their crew did for me. I was on a very tight schedule to move into the condo I had just purchased and it needed a LOT of work. They repainted the entire condo (3 bedrooms, 2 baths), replaced the majority of the baseboards, replaced all of the door handles, drywalled, textured, painted several walls and did a multitude of other repairs, etc. The fact that I was rushing them did not impact the quality of their work at all. We had a recent plumbing leak that resulted in a 1' X 3' hole in the ceiling beneath the leak. On top of patching with drywall, Bryce made sure the plaster exactly matched the texture of our existing ceiling. We ordered paint to match our existing color, but the resulting mix was lighter than the original. Bryce painted a larger section of ceiling than originally planned so that the resulting color would be seamless. He didn't charge us any extra for doing this. His rates were very reasonable for the number of visits he had to make for such a small job. read more

Hired Bryce and he came same day the first time and fixed our gate (so we thought, as we were not there), which was a life saver as we were in a bind. However, when we came back and saw the gate, we noticed that on the latch he screwed back in, he used 3 different screws (only required 3 screws.....) and was not not shutting properly or aligning correctly due to the size of the screws he used. We scheduled him to come back out to fix again, amongst a few other things, and when he showed up he said he could not do the work that day as another job came up. We rescheduled for a week later, which he then cancelled with no notice one hour before he was supposed to be there. I believe that the work is beyond his skill set, which is fine, but be honest about it. We have now wasted several weeks working with them with nothing to show for it. This was for a rental property, so we needed to be able to rely on someone to do the work, and do it correctly, especially when we get charged for said work. However, that was not at all our experience. read more

Sometimes first impressions are wrong. On 5/11/2021 I made a one star review based on an appointment no show. Bryce called me to apologize. I then read some other positive reviews and decided to give it a 2nd try. I called him and he agreed to return today (I had been out of town so this was the earliest to get my project done) and paint my garage interior. He has just left and I am totally satisfied with the work completed. So....I'm changing my negative reply to a five star positive. I called Bryce (and Jeanine) for a little work that needed to be done around a condo we just remodeled. He ended up taking care of a long list of items that I had been procrastinating for some time. Not only does he do great work, he does it at a fair price. * removed lower portion of the drywall in our laundry enclosure and replaced w/ new drywall, applied texture and painted the entire enclosure * Pressure washed/patched/painted the four walls(stucco)/doors/trim of our front patio area. * Installed an access panel to the back of our furnace enclosure for easy access * Finished installing a vanity that I had started to install. Because of my oversite, he had to make adjustments to the vanity so that it would sit flush against the wall. He also 'customized' one of the vanity drawers so that it would close and sit flush w/ the others. * Replaced the grout in a small area of our floor after we had the windows replaced (2 sliders) as well as textured/painted the drywall surrounding the new sliders * Finished installing our Microwave by installing exhaust tube above microwave * Installed new set of cabinets that he installed in our new laundry enclosure I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but the point is, Bryce does just about everything. He's prompt, courteous and just an all around nice Guy. He's great at what he does and he won't work on something that he believes is out of his expertise, which I appreciate. read more

So thrilled with this company - will be using him for any handyman projects in the future! Reliable, communication is great, flexible and really reasonable quotes which he stands by - no last minute gotchas. His quote was so reasonable that I tipped an extra $100 and still paid less than expected for a high quality job.
