Coach Isaac and The Gymnastics Bus are the best! My 3 year old daughter absolutely LOVES it and gets her Gym Bus T-shirt ready every Monday morning in anticipation of Friday's lesson. She is enamored by Coach Isaac and always talks about how nice and helpful he is. We also love the monthly videos he sends of our daughter showing off her newly-learned skills. Coach Isaac and The Gymnastics Bus has been my son's first introduction to ANY organized sport. Wow! I feel so lucky that The Gymnastics Bus goes to my son's preschool and that this AMAZING coach, mentor and professional has been able to teach my son in such a fun environment! Coach Isaac brings his amazing bus to my child's preschool. My son doesn't like to participate in a lot of activities but he loves the Gymnastics Bus and he's been doing it for a couple of years. And I can tell that a lot of that has to do with Coach Isaac's skills in working with kids. The bus is amazing, too! And probably the best part is that Coach Isaac sends the parents videos of what their child worked on that week. As working parents know, any little glimpse into what their child is doing during the day is much appreciated! I didn't realized that The Gymnastic Bus did birthday parties too, but we might need to look into that before my son gets too big. This is the first year that my son has been introduced to Coach Isaac and the Gymnastics Bus and I am so glad that we decided to sign him up via our preschool. I have been avoiding Yelp for years, but after seeing The Gymnastics Bus only has 2 reviews at the time I'm writing, I HAD to give in and write a review. I heard about The Gymnastics Bus through a coworker who's son had attended a birthday party on TGB and it sounded great, if not a bit impossible to imagine....gymnastics? bouncing, hopping, foam pit, zip lining kids in a BUS? Really? Cut to my son's 5th birthday... I decided to give it a try. Being as we'd just bought our little old house right before the recession hit the hardest, we were on a super tight budget. So just get a cake and have an oversized play date at home, you say? Not an option, as our house was under repair from the roof giving way during winter rains...what to do? Renting any community rooms, school gyms, gymnastics centers or other spaces were all well beyond our budget. The park was out of the question- that option is really only for summer and fall birthdays, unless being wet and freezing is your idea of a good time. We booked the bus, Coach Isaac would come to us at our choice of location. I thought about all the preschoolers' parents that we'd have hanging around and decided to have him meet us at a cafe in a shopping center with a big parking lot. The parents all hung out at the cafe- sipping their coffees, having lunch and adult conversations (!) while Coach Isaac kept the ever-energetic group of 12(!) preschoolers in constant motion and safely contained in the bus for AN HOUR AND A HALF!!! The parents could check up on their kiddos at any point, and be right on hand for potty breaks or in case any shy types changed their minds about participating....but none did. When time was up, all the kiddos exited the bus very reluctantly but with smiles on their faces, excitedly telling their parents all about all the cool things they got to do. It was amazing. I couldn't believe how many different activities were packed into that bus! It was like a bus version of Mary Poppins' bag. Coach Isaac has experience as a preschool teacher and exuded such happiness and warmth for these little people, and his manner for 'correcting' or otherwise dealing with some -shall we say- strong little personalities was kind & positive but firm. After the initial 'testing' or 'sussing' him out, these littles decided it would be more fun to follow the safety guidelines and stick around and play. My son would get so excited when we'd see the bus driving around town, or on the freeway, and would have me unroll the window so he could wave. He'd always get a smile and wave or 'toot-toot' in return. Over the weeks and months, parents would tell me their kids did the same- which tells me their kids enjoyed their time on TGBas much as my son did. We booked The Gymnastics Bus for every birthday until my son aged out. I'd say that is the ONLY downside- that the kiddos eventually outgrow the space. We decided we had to have another son so we could have TGB birthdays again and see Coach Isaac and his smiles. Kidding. Well, we do have son #2, and he's super excited looking forward to celebrating his birthday on TGB again this year. (and big brother LOVES that he gets to 'assist' Coach Isaac!) read more

The Gymnastics Bus hits the sweet spot: the kids love it, they're learning balance, strength, and coordination while stretching their abilities, and it all happens developmentally right when they need it the most. Both of my kids have been in the 'Bus, and have come out confident and coordinated (and terrifyingly capable on the trampoline). The improvement is noticeable and immediate. My son started the Gymnastics Bus at three years old - I thought it would be an incredible experience since he loves to tumble and is very active. I came to learn that Coach Isaac has the children sitting and listening to instruction or waiting their turn for long periods of time - totally counter-intuitive to what a tumbling class should be for three year olds. Because my son at three had a hard time sitting still and waiting so much, he often ended up in trouble or Time Out which sends a pretty negative message when the experience is supposed to be fun. In fact, Coach Isaac announced loudly in front of all of the children and visiting parents that my son is hyperactive and needs to be diagnosed. Awesome! That's how my daughter (and I) feel about Coach Isaac's Gymnastics Bus. The bus pulls up to my daughter's preschool once a week and it is an absolute highlight. The kids all get to climb on board, and do gymnastics with Coach Isaac who actually teaches little preschoolers actual gymnastics. The bus is rad. He's taken out all the seats in a huge yellow bus, and put in all gymnastics equipment. I have also had my older child attend a bday party where the bus pulled up out front. So cool! Isaac is responsible, kind, super organized, and professional. We receive videos each week of our child trying out their new trick too which is cool. My daughter has been going to The Gymnastics for almost a year. Sadly, since she's going to Kindergarten next year, her classes will be ending in August. I've always wanted to introduce her to gymnastics but didn't have the time to take her to classes so having the bus roll up to her preschool was a major plus. On Gymnastics Bus day, she always excitedly tells me what she learned. The best part are the videos that he sends every few weeks. Coach Isaac is magic with children. My daughter attends the Gymnastics Bus weekly at her preschool. Before this, she was very hesitant and apprehensive about gymnastics (she grew fast and is tall for her age), but now she looks forward to gymnastics and is excited to go to school because it's "Gymnastics Bus" Day. Coach Isaac is also great about communicating with the parents and offers make up classes if your child misses due to illness, etc. The best treat of all is the weekly video he sends of your child performing that week's skill. You can see the joy in the child's face as they attempt the skill with Coach Isaac's encouragement and support. We have Isaac and the Gymnastics Bus come to our neighborhood for a weekly class - its the highlight of my kids week. We all go outside early to cheer on the bus as it comes down the street. Our class has mixed ages and Isaac does a great job of making it fun for all the kids all while learning things like taking turns and helping each other. My favorite part is getting the videos of the kids learning the new skills. One of my sons attends Physical Therapy and the therapist wanted him to do gymnastics but it was so hard finding a class that met our schedule - having the bus come to us has worked perfectly. read more
