We have eaten donuts from coast to coast and these looked promising so we drove almost 2 hours to try these. We called ahead to place our order because they're made to order. The lady on the phone was friendly. We ordered 12 donuts and an order of donut holes. We arrived and there was just one couple ahead of us placing an order. The lady taking their order did not know their own menu as she debated with the customers that the donut they ordered was a drink, not a donut (it was in fact a donut). I got to the window and paid and our order was ready. As we left I noticed we were missing a donut (glazed ring). We pulled back in and I explain this to the woman at the window. She argued that I only ordered the donut holes and not the ring. She had correctly repeated my order back to me on the phone, but in person she stated I didn't order the ring. I reminded her that I ordered 12 donuts and was charged for such and she agreed. I showed her the order she gave me contained only 11 donuts. She asked the lady in the back to prepare a glazed donut in which she responded "she wants two glazed rings?" I spoke up and told her I never received it. She was under the impression I did while the lady at the window said I never ordered it. Finally got that situated and on to the tasting. These donuts are VERY HEAVY. Like "make a pit stop to get the taste out of your mouth" heavy. We were very excited for the maple bacon donut as this is one we always order. Unfortunately they messed that up as well and gave us two filled with custard . We absolutely HATE custard so those went in the trash. The caramel was pretty tasteless and hard. The toppings on the sticky bun and cinnamon roll donuts were very gritty and unpleasant. The Dubai chocolate and Chunky monkey donut was not cohesive and was just one big mess. The glaze tasted like someone microwaved cake frosting and over heated it. The donut itself was actually better the next day and not while it was fresh, which is something I never thought I'd say. Overall, we were so excited for this place, but ended up disappointed and don't foresee returning.
