My family was just traveling through Idaho and stopped in for breakfast. There is a very limited food menu but what we had was delicious. At the time they had 3 warm items and a salad. They had a small pastry section as well that looks like it might change. They had a wide selection of different syrups behind the counter. Being a diabetic, the sugar free options were nice to have.

We stopped here on our way to Boise from Washroom. This is our second time (last visit was 2019). This is by far the BEST COFFEE we have ever had in our lives! Cute place and great customer service. Make this a stop on your next road trip !

Amy's Lunch Fiesta: A Review by Someone Who Now Believes in Culinary Miracles…read more Today I had lunch at Amy's. I expected a casual affair--maybe a sandwich, some chips, and polite small talk. What I got instead was a full-blown flavor intervention featuring Mexican Lentil Soup, a Pork Fajita Panini, and a Mexican potato salad that may or may not have whispered sweet nothings to my taste buds. Mexican Lentil Soup: This soup came in hot--both literally and flavor-wise. Imagine lentils with a master's degree in spicy sass and a minor in making you question every bland soup you've ever tolerated. It was hearty, zesty, and just the right amount of kick. " I briefly considered bottling it and using it as a cologne: Eau de Amy's Soup--smells like comfort and confidence. Pork Fajita Panini: First off, it's bold to turn a fajita into a panini. That's like asking a mariachi band to perform in an elevator--tight space, but big results. The pork was juicy, the bread was perfectly grilled, and each bite was like a well-choreographed salsa dance on my tongue. Somewhere between the caramelized onions and the cheese oozing like it was paid to perform, I think I saw God. Mexican Potato Salad: Look, I've had potato salad. We all have. But Amy's Mexican potato salad rolled up to the party in a sombrero and kicked the door down. Creamy, tangy, and spiced just enough to make me wonder if the potatoes were grown with personality. If regular potato salad is that friend who always brings napkins to the potluck, this one is the friend who shows up with tequila, guac, and zero apologies. Final Verdict: Amy didn't serve lunch. She served a culinary experience with enough flavor to convince me that my usual microwave burrito is a crime against humanity. If she ever opens a restaurant, I'm investing. If she ever stops cooking, I'm rioting. 11/10, would beg for leftovers.

If you're a woman visiting alone, don't be surprised if you're treated like the day's entertainment…read moreby some of the older men who spend their mornings here. Within minutes, I was repeatedly invited to sit in a stranger's booth, warned not to stay in town too long or I'd "get pregnant and have to stay..." and asked about my political views before they knew my name. Basic manners are optional, but political screening is not. They made fun of gay people and told a joke about a preacher and a "colored person." If you're not a part of the political party that does that, they'll say that you aren't welcome. I was polite, as I was alone, but I did say, "I will be sitting over here the whole time," the 5th time I was asked to sit in the city council member's booth. One of the woman said, "he's not a pervert, he just plays the part." I did like her but If my husband had gone instead of me the comments would have been different. They might think they were friendly or charming but actually most people would find these comments intrusive and uncomfortable. The bakery isn't responsible for every customer who walks through the door, but if this behavior is common, then it becomes part of the customer experience. I was antsy to get my food and leave... Just a mom grabbing breakfast for my family at 6:45am. They have good food and reasonable prices. The server there was wonderful and so was the man pouring coffee. It's just that some of the patrons act like they don't have mothers, daughters, or decency.

The great news is the source as much as they can from local gowers and producers so believe this is a huge reason prices are high. I can a Cobb sale that was great. I lived the addition of cubed beets and their hiuse dressing was soooo good. My husband had the steak sandwich which he said was very good. It was pretty small and didn't come with anything else on the plate which made the sandwich look even tinier. I ordered the raspberry cheesecake which was the BEST cheesecake I have ever had. If I disnt have manners I would have picked up my plate and licked the platter clean. The quilts hanging throughout the place are stunning. They are for sale as well but again, extremely high priced. If yiu are in the area make sure to stop by. The lune gies quickly and they get their food out very quickly. The turkey focaccia was a taste delight, stuffed with meat and fresh greens and avocado. The bread had a nice cheese lace baked into the crust as well, which was just extra credit on an already 5/5 sandwich. Your choice of about 5 types of chips in a bag come with the sammy. I also pulled the trigger on a slice of huckleberry pie. How ever you ever imagined the best huckleberry pie, this is it. It was just outstanding. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. They also had someone cleaning all the time, which was nice to see. They do breakfast, salads, and brick oven pizza as well as sandwiches. I was too late to see any breakfast dishes, but did see several salads and pizzas, and they looked great. Water is at a self service bar, otherwise they'll bring foo foo coffee, or other drinks to the table or give it to you at ordering time. This is really an outstanding stop and worth the drive, especially if looking for a nice day trip to spend with your loved ones.
