Ranking 1. Chicken tenders. I'm not a big chicken nugget or tender gal, but these blew me out of the water, hands down the best tenders I've had in my life. They are soaked in a pickle brine and are the perfect saltiness's while being juicy. 2. Onion rings. Was juicy and crisp 3. Garlic fries. Good crisp and nice garlic flavor 4. Cheeseburger, your standard burger 5. Chicken ceaser wrap, not terrible but have had better, more like a chicken wrap than ceaser. 6. Sweet potato fries. Generic, nothing special Shoutout to the Smokey fry sauce. As a northeasterner I have never had fry sauce, but these but the smoky sauce was going on everything we ate. Probably the worst burger place I've ever been to. I thought it was a joke how off the wall this waitress was. She was unprofessional to borderline rude. She lifted all of the buns on our burgers in front of us to see what we they were. I couldn't finish eating because the whole experience grossed me out and my burger was burnt to a crisp. Her guy friend came in at one point and she announced him. She was yelling across the room. I should have known it would be terrible since my group was the only people there. Just bad. read more

There aren't that many places to eat in Cottonwood, Idaho, but The Hangout was right alongside the road as we were heading out from St. Gertrude's monastery, so we pulled in. Ordering was easy, and the tables were clean. The whole place continually filled up with smoke from the 2-foot-high flare-ups at the grill. Fortunately the weather was nice, so all of the windows and doors were open for ventilation. It was needed! My burger was not made the way I ordered it... wrong cheese, condiments added that I asked to have left off... but I ate it and it tasted great, and I would order that again. The onion rings were a hot soggy mess! They looked good, but they were oily, not crispy, and I'll never order them here again. read more

Wow!! During our stay at Saint Gertrude's Monastery we stopped by the Hangout for lunch. We did not expect this amazing food when we stopped. The owners obviously love what they are doing. The food was amazing. Service way beyond great. I had the best patti melt that I have had in years. Sauce was the ticket. My Mom had the Rueban sandwich and thought that it was one of the best she had ever had. My husband had a fabulouus burger and onion rings and the owner walked by and thought his onion rings were too well done and brought a new order with out us even saying anything. Definitely eat here if you are in town. This place makes us smile. read more

Food was good! Service was amazing ! They were so kind. My son spent a good deal of time and money trying to get a parrot stuffed animal from a claw game. We couldn't get the parrot so my son, who is little, was very sad. We were getting ready to leave and the lady opened the game and gave my son the parrot. It was so sweet. We stumbled upon the Hangout while driving back home to Coeur d'Alene. Their burgers were delicious, the best we've had in a long time!
