I get my hair cut with lots of short layers and I go platinum blond on occasion (I'm a natural blond) and have loved it and always get compliments on my hair. I've never seen hair walking out of the salon that I didn't think looked great. While my hairs naturally straight my sisters has long, curly, thick hair and she also has been nothing but satisfied. My sister also went from bright blond to dark brown for 3 years and then recently back to blond with no problems. The hair stylist are experienced, sociable, welcoming, and great listeners to your wants and needs. They all have great hair and style and have the range of ages to fit every ones needs. My dad and his friends also love it here because they're comfortable and the girls do a great job. I have always gone to Stephanie, she is young and is capable of anything. I've had cuts, colors, highlights, and up dos from her and they're amazing every time. Genuinely the most BS experience of my life. I work in the customer service industry so it was hard…read moreleaving a 1 star review but based on seeing how these people cut hair I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I've been to this place before and they made notes of how they cut my hair so they can do it again the next time which I think is good but this time I walked in when they opened and I was the 2nd person in line. The first person in front of me was given the competent hair stylist and she printed out a ticket for her customer that had the notes from last time. Then I went up to the counter and since I was 2nd in line I was given the incompetent hair stylist who was telling me that the ticket printer was broken and without making any effort to try and fix it, get more paper or even ask the stylist who knew what she was doing for help I just get told I couldn't get a ticket and that there were no notes for me and I just had to explain what I got last time. I thought that was no big deal so I go to the chair. At the time I had a mullet so it was obvious that the sides of my hair were a different length than the back of my hair. The top of my hair was about 2 inches, the sides were about 1 inch and the back was about 5 inches, (again pretty obvious). I said that I was only there for a trim up and I pointed to the 2 sides of my hair and asked her to buzz those and take the same amount off the rest and she acted like she knew what she was doing and then she immediately took a razor and started cutting off all the hair on the back of my head. After 2 seconds of the razor being on the back of my head my hair was already ruined. I asked her what she was doing and she said that that somehow she thought that back of my hair was included in the sides and then the competent stylist chimes in from another chair and said "his hair was supposed to be a mullet". Then the incompetent stylist starts acting like it was my fault for not telling her that the sides of my hair were a different length then the back and she tells me that she can fix it. Which I have no idea how she was supposed to but I agreed anyway. During the time she was "fixing" my non existent hair the competent stylist was seating a new customer and had printed out a ticket and was reading off it so the machine clearly wasn't broken and I specifically heard her talking about the length of how long he wanted his hear on the top and then she said "and how about the sides and back?" clearly stating that they are different. At the end of my haircut I have basically no hair anymore and she tells me that she couldn't figure out how to fix it and she ends the haircut by saying "I tried my best". Like I mentioned earlier this is my first time ever leaving a bad review but I had to because my experience at this place was a total joke, to end with no hair and to be told "I tried my best" I think my hair would have looked better if I gave a pair of scissors to a homeless guy in the side of the street. When the clippers were being used on me, there were three instances where I felt some pain, but I just toughed it out. This barber clearly injured me in three separate places on the back of my neck, leaving visible red abrasions. Also, he failed to show me the back of my neck upon completion of the cut. I do not understand how a professional of 13 years could have caused these injuries. I've had many non-professionals, and even myself, trim my head with clippers without ever being injured or feeling pain. I feel like this is completely unacceptable for a professional haircut and shows a serious lack of care or something else. I experienced discomfort from these cuts, and I'm concerned about the potential for infection. I would not recommend this barber or Great Clips based on this experience. I have chatted with management who relayed my concerns to the franchisee, and I do not think they seemed to care much about what happened to me, so I posted this review.
