I live in S. Austin and after a recommendation from a family member I decided that to get my hair done right it would be worth the 40 mile drive. Crystal was really great about answering all my questions and making recommendations to the haircut I wanted with the photos I brought in. She really understood my hair (which is fine and curly) and what it was capable of doing with the style I wanted. I also made sure to get in touch with her before my appointment because I am seven months pregnant and I was worried about any strong fumes. Each of the stylists have their own room which really helps keep the fumes to a minimum. I would (and will) recommend Crystal to anyone. She was worth the drive and I will definitely be going back. Especially since she does free bang touch-ups which you can do as a walk-in. I also must add that setting up an appointment on the website is so easy it would be silly not to do it soon. Just wanted to update that Crystal is still great. I started a new job this fall and a couple of days before, I decided I needed a new look to go with my new job. I went in unsure whether or not to take the plunge, and Crystal helped me make the final decision. I chopped off roughly... 12 inches? Maybe? I felt great and Crystal made me look great! I've got extremely straight, boring hair, which works because I'm pretty boring and I don't blow dry, straighten or do any of that fun fancy stuff most normal girls do to their hair. Crystal made sure my haircut worked for someone as low maintenance as me. I literally walk out of my shower, brush my hair, and leave the house knowing full well that nature would dry it and make it look the way Crystal intended! :) My therapy sessions with her are still great. I do have some craziness occurring in my life again... maybe I should go to her... get rid of some split ends while I'm at it. read more

I researched having a keratin treatment done to my hair. I found Crystal while searching online. She and I communicated back and forth about the treatment and she was so great answering all my questions. I would highly recommend Crystal if you are interested in having this procedure done. She is very knowledgeable about it and can answer any questions that you might have. Next time I need a haircut I will definitely go see Crystal, because I'm sure she will do a great job. read more

Crystal knows her stuff! I go in to see her not really knowing what I want and I feel wonderful every time I leave. Crystal also did my Keratin treatment and it has made my hair so manageable and I love not having to blow dry it anymore. My hair color also lasts longer than it ever has. In her new space, she's 45 minutes away, but it so worth the drive! It's tranquil and peaceful and visiting Crystal is more like visiting a friend than just a stylist. Waited a few months/visits to make sure I really like Crystal and would recommend her. If you're looking for a stylist that listens, gives her opinion if asked, recommendations and is conservative then she's the one. Love that she's an experienced stylist in Round Rock/Hutto area (I think that's hard to find). Crystal is conservative in just the right way. I've had times where I want to chop off my hair (I get in those moods) and other stylists do it and don't talk me off the ledge. I end up hating it of course because my face isn't meant to pull of Victoria Beckham's cut. Crystal cuts enough off to make a difference but can judge not to chop all of it off because even though I said to, she knows it won't look good. Her cuts always grow out well which I can't say for previous ones. Her prices for cuts are very reasonable and I like that you can book online. She's in a shared studio space with a private room so no frills place but that's ok with me as long as she does a great job. She has other passions and interests other than hair so there's never a dull moment. There are just some people who can get me talking and she's one of them. Other than that I prefer to have my head buried in a trash mag. :) read more

I've been going to Crystal for a solid 6 years now, and she is always amazing. I recently went abroad and burned my bangs to a crisp on a bad straightener - Crystal fixed what I thought could never be fixed! We did the Keratin treatment on just my bangs and not only are they ridiculously more manageable now, but it fixed my burnt ends. I decided ultimately not to go to the hair appointment, since customer service was very impolite. It is best to describe them as nice, but heavily sarcastic. If customer service is having a rough day they should not attack the customer it is unprofessional. It is also unprofessional to send 4 personally written emails out of emotion, because I decided to cancel the appointment. Sure, I canceled 3 hours before the appointment was due. I understand that it is not the best scenario, however I read 3 vent emails and I just decided to delete the fourth. Enough is enough. read more

Crystal is hands-down the best hairstylist I have ever had. She knows exactly how my hair works and is completely honest with me about styles that I want to try. She will let me know if something will look good, or if it won't, she always has other suggestions to keep me happy. In terms of color, Crystal is a genius. I have had my hair colored before, and was happy with it. Then I had Crystal put some lowlights in my hair and realized what I had been missing all these years! Every time I get it colored, Crystal makes it look so natural to the point that people are confused because they could have sworn that I had lighter hair. It's kind of amazing. Then, to top it all off, she is an amazing person. I love coming in to get my hair done in the morning and just chatting with her the whole time. The thing I love most about Crystal is that she does what you request! You know how sometimes you go to a hairstylist and request a trim, then 30 minutes later you have a bob? Not the case! Crystal does exactly what you request, but if you don't know what to request, she has some great ideas too! I have pretty long hair, and she does a GREAT job of thinning it. She makes it so easy to manage. Another great thing about her is that she is so fun! I love going to get my haircut just to chat and catch up. She is reasonably priced and gives very relaxing head massages as she is shampooing (personally my favorite part). Her online booking is so easy. You don't have to call in! So convenient. Crystal is AMAZING!! She is amazing especially with curly hair. The cuts are always perfect!! For those of you with curly or frizzy hair, make the investment and try the Keratin treatment. I have crazy, frizzy, curly hair and after the Keratin treatment it is straight and soft and completely amazing.
