The Curl Doula is located along Stirling Rd. behind Crystal Vision in a big brown gazebo looking building called Treehouse Beauty Suites. Parking is limited. The inside of the building was nicely decorated with antique furniture and had a few rooms where individuals run their independent business. Deanna, who specializes in natural hair and coloring, is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about curly hair and techniques on how to care for your natural curls. Before she began the wash service, she examined my hair and asked about my hair routine. Then she discussed what I was doing wrong and gave me tips on how to embrace my natural curls and how to properly care for my hair to achieve healthy hair & growth. She even showed me before and after pics of her clients. I can honestly say, the experience I had with Deanna, I never had with any other hair stylist. She took her time cleansing my hair with a gentle scalp massage while slowly running her fingers through my hair. She showed me how tightly coiled my natural curls were and how soft my hair was becoming. I was amazed. My hair was left to air dry to lock the curls in place. I have never sported my natural curls before so it will take some getting used to. I will practice Deanna's hair care tips and keep watch on my hair's progress.

As you first drive up, the salon is located on the west side near the entrance to the plaza. The businesses here are all tight in together. It might be missed if you are not paying attention. He offered me fresh coffee, then we discussed the style that I would like. I could tell that he was very experienced. He then proceeded to wash then cut my hair. Alon's personality also made me feel very comfortable.I'm not usually the person that has long chats with their hair stylist but Alon had me laughing and sharing stories. Alon was able to give me the cut I wanted while making it suitable for my face and style. He also colored my hair and made it look more rich and shiny than before.
